I couldn't upload a fixed version of this mod but there is a very easy way to fix the bugs. Open the pack using the Rusted Pack File Manager and delete the culture_settlement_occupation_options_tables file.

In lore there's also the Wild Hunt that fucks with everybody, elves aren't as defensive as you think.

This mod doesn't seem to work since the norsca DLC. Like at all. It's not the issues of norsca being able to settle there, it's that wood elves are still absurdly aggressive

if somebody wants to try and test out some settings to fix this, get Pack File Manager and open the Defensive_Wood_Elves.pack, there is a phew lines about Norsca in the culture_settlement_occupation_options_tables ..... i simply don't have the knowledge to attempt it :(

@ Ryu , yeah like swerto indicated the mod is allowing Norsca tribes to conquer all settlements regardless of race / province , they are spreading like wildfire on the map :p

Turns out this mod is affecting Norsca's ability to conquer as others have said, so I suggest not installing it until it receives an update from the creator.

It appears this mod has a bug with the new Norsca patch. If you play Norsca with all mods disabled except this one, you will see a strange white box as one of your choices after defeating a settlement (Occupy, Raze, Loot, etc). This white box comes with an empty choice bar beneath it, and is only caused by vanilla Norsca game + this mod.

thank you for the mod,really. In all my campaigns wood elves end up conquering and being the n°2 power. That will fix it.

thats actually why they are meant to be aggressive in this actually. to protect athel loren. the oak of ages is dying and they need amber and somehow it only exists in towns and cities lol

Be careful when installing this mod, because it makes wood elf allies pointless. They do not aid you in battle

Is there a mod that changes the personality so they will actually LEAVE the forest and come help in a battle? I would love this mod in reverse.

Funnily enough this stopped the Wood Elf Subfactions from Declaring war constantly, But the Treemen Subfaction constantly wants to destroy Brettonia. :L

They still love attacking Brettonians, and as a Brettonian its impossible that you wont be dragged into a war with them. Still a greater threat than Chaos lol

I've destroyed the Crooked Moon with the Empire, none of the elven faction bothered to move to conquer the mountains. They really stay in the forest now, CA has tweaked it very well :)

The Wood Elves AI got a lot less aggressive when I was playing the new updates. I think the developers took the time to lower their aggression to make them not as OP as before.

I would say yes - The WE are far to aggressive, i've been playing with them for the last two weeks, I was allied to each faction, they just went to war with almost everyone. They are also OP which i love anyway,

This is really good. It was rather frustrating for me to watch Durthu just roam around the map with no control or sense. Thank you for the mod.

Could you perhaps do the same idea for Dwarfs? It's weird how they completely dominate bottom of the map and end up beind everywhere quite quickly? It would make snse for them to be defensive and stick to the mountains and true to lore... I think.
