Amazing. It works but the icon on the item cards and inventory is still the old pixel icon. Any clue what mod it could be?

oh but i forgot about treasure pools you would still need to figure those out which i can't help you with as i have not found them out myself (this is if you want to add the rupees to chest and as monster drops)
Amazing_Sanders 24 Apr, 2022 @ 2:37am
or in otherwords make different value color coded rupees but not based on stack but based on how much it adds to your ingame wallet using different item ids and values (sorry tried to post this in this post because i don't need to make a comment wall)

edit the money.currency file you can make a legitimate replica of TLoZ with different value peramiters and different images to be different colors for said value peramiters (steams being a
wierd right now tried to post this in the golden rupee mod post so feel free to delete comment if a similer comment appears in said comment section)

as it stands, pairing this with the voxels to rupees mod makes for an almost legit LoZ currency experience
that said (and I don't know if it'd be possible...but) a mod that dynamically morphs and recolors pixel drops/chest slots to the highest color tier rupee based on stack size would be awesome, so 1-4 pixels = green rupee 5-9 = blue rupee 10-19 = yellow rupee 20-49 = red rupee 50-99 = purple rupee 100-299 = silver rupee and 300+ = gold rupee (that's based on the base values that has been the standard since Windwaker, thus I'm assuming that's the final true rupee value scale Nintendo settled on)
.
.
.
also, I just sorta lived with it as I used the mod before, but a 50~75% sfx volume reduction would be a nice update if it's not in there already (haven't played in a while and back for 1.4)

Hmm.. in a calmer state of mind, I see this in a more serious light. The second opinion helps.. I could look into toning it down. Shouldn't be too much of an issue, but I can't promise anything. Thank you for the comment, by the way! I appreciate it! :3

tbh @storvon isnt wrong, wen i collect a lot of them at once, like those rotating random chest things that can either poison u, heal u, drop copper gen/normal bombs or spit out an absurd number of rupees (in this mods case), it sometimes gets VERY loud for like a second if u stand on the spot its spitting them out. i dont complain because i stand away and let it finish and then slowly move in to collect them all, otherwise as he said, it would hurt my ears..

dont get me wrong, the mod is EPIC and i wouldnt ask to change anything about it. As a zelda fan this mod makes the whole game a LOT more zelda-esq :3

I apologise as well if I sound tense, today isn't my best day

Are you sure your volume isn't up excessively loud? No one else's eardrums break when they pick them up, mine included.

If your volume is the issue here your sarcasm is unnecessary.
venta 6 Mar, 2019 @ 8:05pm
great mod, but the volume for rupee pickup is excessively high, could it be decreased a little so my eardrums dont break every time i pick up money?
Leeloo 1 Nov, 2018 @ 7:03pm
Ropes, Arrows, BOMBS all yours my friend, so long as you have enough rupees!
𝚊𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚘𝚗  [author] 19 Mar, 2018 @ 4:21pm
Most likely, but it'd involve patching every single pool of treasure that enemies/pots/chests could look to when they had pixels.

It'd result in a lot of editing for the single feature of higher "groups" of pixels, sadly.
RedLink1029 19 Mar, 2018 @ 5:40am
aww, thats disapointing tbh. maybe theres a way to add more "pixel types/values" for rupees. so some pixels are worth 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, etc. is adding more "pixel" items possible for that?
𝚊𝚌𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚘𝚗  [author] 18 Mar, 2018 @ 10:34pm
Sadly I don't think I know how to make it so that the color radomizes.

Even when looking through the files, I don't think it even supported randomizing the sprite. No item I know of in Starbound does it; which leads me to believe it just can't be done, sadly.
RedLink1029 18 Mar, 2018 @ 9:56pm
Would it be possible to have the rupees randomize their color? instead of jus one color. like have all the rupee colors :) i only subbed this mod because wen u pick up a pixel, u only get one, green rupees are worth one, so yea. id confuse myself if i got the blue or red rupee mod :( but id love to see all the rupees in one mod (silver, yellow, red, orange, blue, green, purple, etc.) :steamhappy:

Alright, thank you. I´ll test that in a few weeks and may give feedback. Hope I won´t forget to comment here. ^^'

From what I understand this SHOULD be client side, but I mgiht be wrong as it also changes pixel item names which might make it multiplayer incompatible.

I've never tried it on a server that didn't have the mod, so I couldn't tell you unfortunately, friend!
Kami Ancunín 15 Mar, 2018 @ 4:42am
Is this a Client-Side and Multiplayer friendly Mod ?
RedLink1029 2 Apr, 2017 @ 10:56am
I wonder if there is a way to randomize the color of the rupee as or before it is spawned/dropped o.O?
VagueCryptid 10 Feb, 2017 @ 3:27pm
These rupees look a lot more like the ones from Four Swords or Minish Cap than the ones from, say, Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess.
Considering the art style of starbound, they look pretty good to me.

By the way, I am definitely enjoying this mod. May be part of my love for the Zelda series, but I've been using it ever since I started playing Starbound again. Thanks for making it!

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
Vanicko 8 Feb, 2017 @ 6:09pm
doesnt really look like rupees but its pretty good

@Ninjathis
This changes the sprite, as well as the names/descriptions of pixels. It also changes sounds.
It does not change voxels in the way 1.0 did, but you can find (Hopefully) a Pixel Voxels into Rupee Voxels mod on my account that turns voxels into varying tiers of rupees. Starting from blue, all the way up into gold.

This does not alter the pixel compressor, however; though that is a good idea.
VagueCryptid 26 Jan, 2017 @ 8:04pm
Does this just change the sprite, or does this also change the names/descriptions? For example, when I mouse over a green rupee, would it say 'Pixel' or 'Rupee'?
Also, would this make Pixel Compresser turn into Rupee Compresser?
If not, that would be pretty cool. Make Voxels like Silver Rupees or something.
