Bit of a clunky workaround, but you MIGHT be able to achieve what you want using the cherry picker mod in case this doesn't get updated with what you're asking for. Just use cherry picker to disable all of the UNSC guns added by this mod and hopefully that should do it. Haven't tested it myself with anything from this mod, but that sort of stuff essentially what cherry picker is meant for, afaik.

Hate to be another person asking stupid questions, but, could you make a version without the UNSC weapons? I like playing with the UNSC faction mod which adds it's own that i prefer a bit more than the ones in this mod. But I REALLY like the covenant and even Promethean weapons in this one.

If I'm in dev mode with auto open log on, I regularly get red text errors when the covenant carbine, binary rifle, and beam rifle are fired. Of those, there could be more weapon types that proc the error that I haven't used yet.

Think it has something to do with the color of the bullets, or bullet type as the comment below says. While it looks like they fire fine, and sometimes damage is done, it often seems as though the shot clearly was a hit but deals no damage.

Seem Covenant carbine is not dealing damage because off bullet type(do not mean about CE)

No ammo types. I am not active enough to keep up to date with everything Combat Extended is doing.

I balanced this mod to be fairly close to vanilla weapons many years ago. Balance changes have been made and I haven't kept up.

Rocket launchers are unlimited use, which can be OP compared to base game launchers. Needler takes down larger enemies pretty fast because of the supercombine explosion. Assault rifle has a larger burst shot than most vanilla weapons. I remember at some point I tried to compensate for these qualities by increasing their market value, which increases your wealth and makes raids harder.

Is this mod overpowered? When I compare these mod with vanilla weapon from the same tech, I find out the weapons from this mod is overall much more damage and higher range, which makes using vanilla weapon meaningless

@Nailus - That's an issue that needs to be resolved by myself

@Doomed - They don't track, because the base game's code basically dictates a hit or miss from the moment the projectile is fired. I have no idea how I would go about making the projectile changer its vector. I haven't coded in so long. The needles will explode if enough hit the same target. Larger targets can withstand multiple supercombination explosions. Definitely recommend needlers for larger targets with that being said, since the explosions will damage multiple parts and make the fight easier over time.

Hey thank you so much for this mod , It´s definitely one of my favorites ones !! Now after using it in mulltiple saves and colonies I've encounter a problem in the debug log , all the grenades have the same issue :

"Config error in Halo_Weapon_PlasmaGrenade: has smeltProducts but has smeltable=false"

What can I do to solve it ?

The spartan laser's impact has a blast radius, and the game devs made it so that people equipping weapons like grenades, rocket launches, etc. couldn't hunt because pawns would end up hurting themselves while out and about. I think it's kind of a lame and lazy solution to the problem, but yeah it's by game design unfortunately. I needed to give the spartan laser a blast radius for it to impact multiple parts of the body like it should when it hits a target.

when my hunter pawn got a spartan laser they stopped hunting and i got a little message on the right that the hunter lacked a ranged weapon bug or design?

Thanks to Mlie for the effort that went into that. I'm not sure what all you had to do, but hopefully it was just some assembly references that needed updating.

It has been forever since I have played with this mod, if I'm being honest. Forgot how rough the textures are o_o Alas, I am no artist lol

Yeah, the promethean weapons use a custom damage type with C# .dll and the mod probably doesn't have access to the inherited methods anymore.

ah i only have 1 cannon so far but will try that when i get more :)

yeah, i really like having big weapons like anti-matter etc, (for defence :) but never want to use them as it destroys all of the raider's goodies :)

the yamato does as well (but there is a way to turn the multi-shot into single shot, which allows for items to be recovered, and repaired with recycling and mending :) (but i cant afford the yamato yet) :)

Fuel Rod Cannon is actually really good for people with bad accuracy :)
