there should be an option
Have the people making the Long War mod contacted you at all? Some of these mods mechanics seem as if they really should be included in "vanilla" Long War
yes pretty sure you can just go to the LW2 folder open XComGameData.ini and search for HealSoldierProject_TimeScalar
The number in brackets represents the difficulty (0 beeing rookie) and the number behind it is a multiplier. so if you were to change it to say 0.1 you would have really short wound durations
Just below this you will find REFLEX_ACTION_CHANCE_REDUCTION
This is how much the chance decreases every time an alien gets the bonus action for THIS POD. So say you walk into a pod of 5 enemies. Say you have set the chance to 0.5 and chance reduction to 0.1 that would mean there is a 50% chance for any of the 5 to get a bonus action. Should one get a bonus action the others have chance of 40% to receive one aswell.
You can change this yourself for the time beeing. If you go to the lw2 mod folder there is a file called XComLW_Overhaul.ini.
Open it with notepad or notepad++ (looks a lot less messy on ++) and search for the line REFLEX_ACTION_CHANCE_YELLOW and REFLEX_ACTION_CHANCE_GREEN.
there are 4 versions for each of them, the numbers represent the difficulty level (0=rookie, 1=veteran,..etc)
The value that follows is their chance to get an extra action (as in allowing them to shoot or use certain abilities) Change it to whatever you like (fyi 1 = 100% so 0.1 would be 10% and so on).
as it is the rockets are so unreliable, ive hit my own units so many times, or completely missed my enemies at the very least, to the point where a grenadier will always be superior to a technical
