I know I said part 1 of this series was the hardest map ever, but it's safe to say this is even harder than it. Quite satisfying to beat! Again, congrats to everyone else who managed to complete this. :p2cube:

I guess it's kinda my fault for going after companions... But they are so tedious, repetitive and boring :steambored: It really soured the overall experience of the map :/

man, i love this map, wish there was a sequel like in the end, Enceladus Station , would really be cool. sadly this was made 3 years ago and there doesn't seem to be a continuation :(

@Telemachus: greetings! Thanks for playing this, and so sorry for the late reply (I'm quite busy raising a child!) :) Well, the part where you are stuck in is indeed the most difficult part. The cube needs to be on that button in order to make possible that you get to dot 4 with your portals... however, you should have already thought of how to get to dot 4 beforehand... and if I mentioned your portals, don't you think there's another fizzler that must be off to get to dot 4 with your portals intact? ;) This is all about bouncing, so you must paint some key spots with the bouncing gel, and your goal is to get out of there to dot 4 by bouncing.
I hope those hints help you to continue, you will still need to spend some time around though. Another brief hint: you can transport the gel to maaany places you might not know yet, be creative with the funnel and your portals! Cheers!

Fantastic map indeed - There was just one part which really had me trumped for quite some time. My I ask however, I wasn't able to find the Den. I found the 2 CC cubes and even had a peek around the map afterwards (using noclip), but wasn't able to find the Den anywhere.

@josepezdj Greetings. I am posting this comment because I would like a hint (from you or anyone who has solved it) for this chamber. I am stuck when I get to checkpoint #3. I place the cube on the button to disable the fizzler, but I am not sure why that is helpfulp. To get to checkpoint #4, I assume I need to bounce on some blue gel into a funnel to take me to the platforms, but I am having trouble getting the blue gel where I want it to go (namely the x mark infront of platforms) because there is no portal panel drectly below the gel dispenser. Basically, the abudance of fizzlers is what's throwing me off. Any hints will be greatly appreciated; thanks in advance.

This map was a masterpiece. It took me like four hours in total, and was BY FAR the most difficult, satisfying, and interesting Portal map I've ever played. It was so outstanding, in fact, that it literally felt conclusive -- it truly felt like the grand finale of Portal (at least as a puzzle game).

11/10. You're an extraordinarily talented map maker.

@zeo1337: hey! thanks for playing the map! I don't understand, I haven't updated the map, and as far as I know there is not any missing texture now (I've got a fresh installation of Portal2 in another computer at home and everything is displayed correctly)... have you got a picture of that issue? have you tried reloading the map (or restarting the game) to see if that error continues? maybe this problem is only at your end :/

I had a similar problem but with blocked linear motion. I think tying the individual brushes (the walls) to separate func_brushes and parenting them to the moving object (the floor brush) helped in my case. I'm not sure if that would help with rotation.

Ah, seems I timed it perfectly for a full revolution. I didn't realise it needed to face the door. It might be better if it was possible to take off in any direction, so there would be a fixed time between pressing E and the fade. Either way it's still good, I was just expecting it to finish sooner based on my last experience.

also, it seems that sometimes, depending on the player's location and his interaction with the interior of the spaceship, the spaceship's natural rotation gets blocked until you move and change from location... this made you be even more impatient... I'm sorry for this, it's difficult to arrange a smoother 'spaceship floor func_brush' with the 'solid BSP' property, I tried hard and simplified it a lot in order to avoid that player-block, but I got what I got :)

Oh, and by the way, Prototype, in the spaceship, you must press the E key just once, I thought you did notice when you pressed it and the doors closed activating the ending scene; the spaceship should simply keep rotating until it faces the testchamber door with the rotating ring, then it stops rotating and starts moving up, the screen fades out to black and the map ends. I saw that you pressed the E key right after the spaceship had passed the testchamber door, therefore you needed to wait a whole round before it stops...

@Prototype: yeah! congratulations man! :D Everything is intended well, except for the laser area when you open the portal on the vertical panel and jump into the portal, it's easier: just open it on the floor, jump in, get momentum and then open it on the vertical panel... similar as what you do in front of this part when you get the laser ;) . @p0rtalmaster: Hey my friend! Thanks for playing it!! :D About the skybox, well, I don't remember to have changed anything... and I think the size for the textures is the same and such... no HDR code inside the .VMT either... no clue, tbh.
Yes, it's sometimes tedious mostly because of having to redo many steps to achieve the easter eggs... I hope you had some fun too :)

Quaternary already showed me in the previous version and I thought I had prevented it, sorry. Will update the map by this weekend and will definitely prevent that damned mega-air-strafe only you ninjas can do! :P Hehe, if you guess so, then try to find the intended solution! Estimated solve time for experienced players: 2+ hours (at least that's what it took me). I managed to complete this one without hints too (probably 'cause I know your tricks even though greykarel's tricks elude me... strangely enough).

Oddly enough, the skybox was designed to only appear on high/very high shader detail, which I know wasn't the case with your earlier maps. What changed this time?

As for the puzzle, compared to the last two parts, I found this one a bit more tedious due to what it takes to spread the gel (but thankfully this isn't quite like Da MaSK!), especially when trying for the secrets. Ultimately still enjoyable and pretty to look at though.

Now go focus on your mod :)

The visuals are fantastic and I liked the music. Here's my blind run Feel free to skip the first 40 minutes of me wandering around, I was blind to the intended angle for the first step. I'm not sure if the step three button was necessary, I can't remember it being used for anything but maybe I've forgotten. Repeating the steps to get a gel bomb to the other sidegot tiring, perhaps there was an easier way that I missed. I think I might see the intended solution to get to area four I guess you need to fling from the opposite side of the map bounce off the gel and through the small window up top

Thanks, I could see what I needed to paint. I tried very hard but just could not activate the gel dropper while bouncing back up and portaling a gel bomb funnel at the same time. Without that technique, it stopped my progress with moving the gel bomb where I needed in the first and portalable floor room. While I couldn't actually do it, I could see the elegance of the solution bounce to the laser room area. I will watch for your intended path vid.

@quatrus : Hey man! Thanks for playing it! Come on, I'm sure you can finish it, you only need a couple of steps more Listen, to paint that last spot, you'll need to be able to move from room to room bouncing, without using your portals, so that you can get the last area where the funnel is without using portals... just think of what spots on the ground you'll need to paint ;) Then, you'll need to make the gel bomb to wait up until you are ready, how? you've got white floor in the flinging room ;) Keep it up, man! Amazing!! i've played for 2 days long and finally met the ending scene, even found two hidden cubes! (can't find ratman...) Creative map i've ever seen, delicate ending, incredible technique used, cant believe you made all these... fully enjoyed in your map. thank you so much!

@Seji-Evan: Hey! long time no see! Happy to see you around! Thanks for pointing that out, it's now fixed. That was only 1 missing texture, a refract tint, present in the big observation room window in the beginning and those 2 smaller observation rooms windows in the first rooms.
It's weird that I never listened to the Cave Johnson line until now, and I think I did test the WS version... I remember I disabled the "pti_audio" in the global_pti_ents instance, although obviously I made it wrong... LOL, but I liked the voice mixed with the music and the map's intro haha... Will remove it in next map version! Thanks for playing! Cheers!
