When I subbed the item it did not ask if I wanted to replace any materials, so this is not the problem.
Have a look at the following path and see if the materials and textures actually exist. steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\workshop\materials\models\ptejack\starwars\droidekas
However the Shield VMT calls the Shield3.vtf in that folder and it also calls a detail texture file which should be in your game\workshop\materials\effects\tiledfire\bluefire\ folder called firelayeredslowtiled512a.vtf See if that eixsts.
Also check the tf\materials\effects\tiledfire for a bluefire folder and that texture file.
Let me know. I may have to rework the model to find the correct texture and get the material to upload.
Also, take a screenshot of the problem, upload it to an image service like imgur or to your profile artwork and send me a link. But I think this might be the problem. I'm just surprized that no one reported til now.
Or the other possibility is that you have another model that has material named the same in a higher priority and the model can't find the material or texture, but this is less likely because of the way I named and placed the materials for it.
