very very thanks you my hero

I did. It was just under some really bright lights in my animation and it reflected them so much that it just looked white instead of the normal blue. I just had to dim the lights a little to account for it

It's all pretty good! Had some issues with the shield being extremely reflective, but other than that, it's a good model
Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 9. okt. 2021 kl. 22:57
Yeah, I did the roll which isn't too bad and tried to do the walk, but that didn't turn out as well as i hoped.
TheBestPybro2505 9. okt. 2021 kl. 20:09
Thank fuck I came back to read this. I spent like, an hour animating a roll before I thought: "Shit, did they make a sequence for it?" Saved me so much time, thank you :WhiteWolfHappy:

@Pte Jack Why are you such a helpful fellow
Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 6. maj 2017 kl. 11:36
BullDog, Read the desciption for this model... The Edit Note: Test this for me would you?
Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 6. maj 2017 kl. 9:49
Sorry Bulldog, Got sidetracked yesterday. Working on it now. I have a few more things to look at first.
BleakDev 6. maj 2017 kl. 3:45
It's been awhile.. Have you got the link...?
Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 5. maj 2017 kl. 12:58
That looks like a checkerboard from what I can see of it (the capture is awful small Check ShareX in the Stream Store for a better capture program, it's free.) Give me a few I 'm going to set something up and give you a link to what I think is the missing texture. I'll tell you how to install it when I send the link.
BleakDev 5. maj 2017 kl. 12:22
It's all there.... Why the heck is it not working.. I'm gonna try SFM and if it doesn't work I'll post another comment.
Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 4. maj 2017 kl. 12:27
hmmm, I've removed all my work copies from SFM and subbed this. The shield "should" play like this when deployed. http://i.imgur.com/teSeEnM.gif

When I subbed the item it did not ask if I wanted to replace any materials, so this is not the problem.

Have a look at the following path and see if the materials and textures actually exist. steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\workshop\materials\models\ptejack\starwars\droidekas

However the Shield VMT calls the Shield3.vtf in that folder and it also calls a detail texture file which should be in your game\workshop\materials\effects\tiledfire\bluefire\ folder called firelayeredslowtiled512a.vtf See if that eixsts.

Also check the tf\materials\effects\tiledfire for a bluefire folder and that texture file.
Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 4. maj 2017 kl. 12:27
I have a sneaking suspicion that the model didn't wrap up that texture when it uploaded to the workshop. This would cause the shield to appear purplish with checkerboards if it doesn't exist. The checkerboards won't be really obvious because the material is animated.

Let me know. I may have to rework the model to find the correct texture and get the material to upload.

Also, take a screenshot of the problem, upload it to an image service like imgur or to your profile artwork and send me a link. But I think this might be the problem. I'm just surprized that no one reported til now.
BleakDev 4. maj 2017 kl. 9:08
Didn't do anything..
Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 3. maj 2017 kl. 13:22
Unsub start SFM and let it clear, then resub
BleakDev 3. maj 2017 kl. 12:34
I accidently clicked No to all and I've forgotten what file it conflicted with.. It isn't asking me again about saying Yes to all etc... I don't know what to do..
Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 2. maj 2017 kl. 9:42
as in B&P checkerboard? It is possible that the the file didn't finish downloading from the Workshop, Unsub and resub, if asked to replace materials always say yes to all.

Or the other possibility is that you have another model that has material named the same in a higher priority and the model can't find the material or texture, but this is less likely because of the way I named and placed the materials for it.
BleakDev 2. maj 2017 kl. 9:33
The shield is a purple texture.. How can I fix this?

¤EyyLmao¤Brotherhood of Nod 11. feb. 2017 kl. 0:31
I mean, I may use it if I ever get back into make posters or even a project. Lost interest but I was saying that this would be an interesting piece for my things.

Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 11. feb. 2017 kl. 0:08
Why would I post it to a public workshop if not? Nothing commerical though
¤EyyLmao¤Brotherhood of Nod 10. feb. 2017 kl. 23:49
This is a really neat-looking model. May use it in a poster or two. :P

could you ever fix a rig for this masterpiece?
Phobias 7. feb. 2017 kl. 22:10
Well at least think about is all I ask, thanks.
Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 7. feb. 2017 kl. 17:44
I probably could, but probably won't
Phobias 7. feb. 2017 kl. 13:03
Don't suppose you could do the unmasked pyro model that Gmod has?
Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 7. feb. 2017 kl. 4:13
yeah that's coming from Blender into SFM. There's always some degradation. (well, sometimes anyway)
KEGIC 7. feb. 2017 kl. 1:53
Nice job Pte Jack! Your animations are a bit rough, but I created my own rolling and shooting animation so far to replicate their counterparts in the Episode 1 film. Old school animating really does kick some serious clanker!
Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 6. feb. 2017 kl. 19:28
As for making a rig. Yes you can use the Autorigger in the workshop to do it, however, because of the way SFM creates its IK rigs, the bones twist and turn without warning. I've tried. Also building manual IKs produce the same result, IKs just aren't pretty on this model. Old School animating produces the best results.
Pte Jack  [ophavsmand] 6. feb. 2017 kl. 19:24
Just got another report of the shield being a missing material. I'm investigating, but it may be a workshop material conflict (though there should be none). I may have to do a redo on this model if it is a conflict and make the materials more unique in name.
ShagsterMcBarkus 6. feb. 2017 kl. 17:39
Been waiting a long time for this!
