Oh... In that case I'm looking forwards to the vid! xD

I think you misunderstood me, i did not mean anything in a bad way, quite the opposite ppl asking for things would incline me to do so, ofc if people does it from respect. Never in my life worked on mods and decided to make this because no one else wanted to do it at the time, sharing it was a nice way to give a little to the great community xcom has.

I will try check things tomorrow and see what can I do :D

So if you wanted to re-record the video you can, but don't feel obligated to just because some people in the comments mentioned it. Especially if it's going to be that out of your way at this point.

But yea, generally speaking voicepacks as mods age pretty well. There's very little that really ever changes or breaks with them. It's not like gameplay mod where once one comes out there's half a dozen authors trying to make a better version of it. So, you can probably expect more people to keep coming back to this mod until such a day comes that XCOM 2's player base becomes a ghost town... Which can be quite a while, given how retro gaming is a thing, and how modding now keeps games alive much longer than they used to last for.

I mean, the video being there or not is no skin off my teeth at this point, I already installed the mod so I'll be able to make my opinion about it once in-game. I'm more just making the suggestion cause I'm probably not the only one who looks for stuff like videos to make their decision on downloading a voicepack or not. And I'm not sure if you're the kind of mod author that even pays attention (or cares) about stuff like number of downloads or not.

Even if it 'did' bother me, that is really just my choice at the end of the day. You're under no obligation to do anything really. The modding community has actually developed a really bad habit of just constantly demanding more and more from mod authors and forgetting their human, so that's not at all what I'm trying to do.

@Gwazi Magnum Honestly I am amazed ppl still suscribe to such an old mod, the files were taken from the original files of payday 2 edited with radio effect still I believe I left original and radio edit I can't recall dude more than 4 years ago already.

I could record a video and make it now but I don't even have xcom installed anymore if it REEEEEALLLYYY bothers you well... maybe I can arrange something

*Typically* I don't even look at Voicepacks that lack a video/audio sample, figuring if the author cared so little about their mod to provide one, what does that tell me about the quality?

But in this case, it looks like it's just that YouTube screwed you over, so yea. Grabbing the mod to complete my payday set.

Though looking at the mod description, the video was more Payday recordings? I would suggest that if you replace the video for the mod, that it be of recordings made in-game. That element tends to be important because how the voice lines mesh through the in-game engine (or even in the middle of a firefight) can be just as important as the quality of the originating recordings.

Just a heads up your preview video is "unavailable"

is that working in wotc?

Love the mod, love the voice lines. Cheers!
But I would be so uncouth as to request a version that replaces some of the lengthier/out-of-place lines (The biscuitmama one comes to mind). Although funny, it's tiresome to hear the same joke time and again.
Thanks again. Good job.

I love the "control" lines. "I'm making some vegemite sandwiches for the lads. You want some, Control?" It's like she's the loving, psychotic big sister I never had. And after she mentioned the "biscuit mama" thing, I actually changed her nickname to "BiscuitMama." If my best soldier wants a particular nickname, they get that nickname.
Norpal 5 Sep, 2017 @ 12:02am
Yeah the Control lines are Sydney's pager answers, she's talking to central security control or w/e.
And no offense Slodog, but those lines kill this voice pack for me. They'd be great for rarer cues like disorientation or evacing, but having such long verbose lines repeat constantly when moving the soldier around gets abrasive really fast. Shame since I really like Sydney. IMO you should consider keeping movement order cues as simple and short as possible.

@Dodes the pager thingy, I like to feel it like "Control" is basically Xcom so shes talking to you xD
Dodes 27 Jul, 2017 @ 6:04pm
This is one of the best voice packs ever! I haven't played Payday in forever, so why does she consistently reference 'Control'? Works perfectly for XCOM, but I don't remember Payday ever having a 'Control'. I really like this voice pack though, she quickly becomes my favorite soldier. Thanks for it.

If anyone know where to get the voicelines from characters that are missing on the workshop without having to download againg payday 2 and extract the files manually I can work with them :)
Dragon32 22 Jun, 2017 @ 2:14pm
@Siodog:
Oh, OK cool. I guess the voice line changes didn't take as "SydneyVoice_P.upk" still has a last update date in Feb (the ModShaderCache file was Last Modified today, though).
Siodog  [author] 22 Jun, 2017 @ 11:10am
nothing really voice volume in some lines I felt were low and the thumbnail :)
Dragon32 22 Jun, 2017 @ 10:43am
Hey, Siodog. Just wondering what today's update(s) were?
Siodog  [author] 19 Feb, 2017 @ 2:06am
Yeah thats was my bad ^^u, thx anyway
Prophet Of Merci 19 Feb, 2017 @ 2:05am
ah ok, i assumed all of them were in the game becuase of the vid. Thats what was stopping me from getting the mod. But if you say its not like that at all, you got a new sub.
Siodog  [author] 19 Feb, 2017 @ 2:02am
no special enemies were referred in any line just one with shield coz i felt it was ok, and calling sometimes cops Advent its not such a big deal, if you are saying this coz of the video i didnt do it, i can record anything with this shitty computer xD
Prophet Of Merci 19 Feb, 2017 @ 2:00am
My problem with this mod is that shes using a shit ton of voice lines that refer to people who arent in game. Same with the cloaker and shield voice lines. Its probably best if you hand pick a good chunk of them and put the voice lines where they need to be. I want this mod super bad, but theres too many references i keep hearing that will not fit in the core game. And i have a shit ton of time put into Payday 2. so i know who is who...
Arkhangel 18 Feb, 2017 @ 5:05pm
god, this is gonna be PERFECT for some of my Aussie trooper gals.
Dragon32 18 Feb, 2017 @ 9:19am
Thanks Siodog, sounds like another great, sweary Payday 2 voice pack. But...
