i have this as of today. i see plenty of gen inside, issue im having is my imput and output are bad and gen keep blowing up. wth am i doing wrong??

Updated to 7.0 : had to do some rearrangements as 4 guns were unable to fire.
adjusted the look a tiny bit and its ready to go.

You'd be incorrect in your math. Energy consumption is not static. It changes quite often, especially in combat. The lower the percentage of power consumption you can get while firing ALL engines, the better fuel efficiency. Thus, 16 generators. Check out HAF-P00K13 as well, also 16 generators. Ships like this will win in a real dogfight between two equally skilled pilots. Because one pilot is flying a fuel hog and keeps having to refill, and the other is just flying around and shooting.

@BigFeet I agree, fuel efficiency is important, but from my understanding, fuel consumption is based on total energy required by the ship, rather than total percentage of power required by the ship. If a ship draws 600kW of power, its fuel consumption will be the same regardless if it can produce 1MW or 100MW of power in total. This link is a bit old, but i believe it is still applicable:

If anything, adding too many generators could hurt the performance of a ship by adding too much weight.

@DragonofJericho Those are needed for a good low fuelconsumption. Most builds on the shop disregard that, i prefer not to.

I love the design! It looks very fierce and formidable. But what's with all the generators? It seems to me like you have alot more than you need.

Very nice design, looks sleek and fierce. I'd suggest adding a bit of L and R thrust, would help to dodge shots from POIs better.

@ leon well fuel consumption sits pretty well, and yes you swap gun groups. Versitality in guns gives you the option to pick the right tool for the job at hand. How that works is up to you :)

Nice, I've been looking around and seeing what it can fit. Is there a way to calculate the exact dimensions of the interior of a space, convert it to small block size? Like, it looks to me 3x3 small blocks fit one 1x1 large. So if that's right, in theory it could fit up to.. uhh... 50x25x30? Damn. I need to go math this.

How is your fighter for fuel BTW? And is there a way to group all the weapons to fire on click, or do you have to swap? In which point why have so many if you can only fire one group at a time?
