any news on the new world
Emiricol4Rl 27 Dec, 2018 @ 2:32pm
I unsubscribed from, then deleted all mod folders I could find (may not be all), and then re-subscribed to the mod and dependencies, but I see now the specific errors. It says it's missing two, MC2_Lander and 859359523 (whatever that is).
jackik 26 Dec, 2018 @ 11:46am
Try manually deleting the mod folders (tedious, i know). It might be a Steam issue with downloading them.
Emiricol4Rl 26 Dec, 2018 @ 11:32am
This mod isn't working for me. When I try to load it, I get the error message, "Downloading mods has failed. Please check mods list in world settings," or something like that. I tried unsubscribing and resubscribing to it and all the world dependencies, but still get the same message, FYI.

Cant wait for the next world with Jupiter in it, he's probably gonna use the Procedural World mod for asteroid belt.
jackik 12 May, 2018 @ 2:16pm
@askenef: 3.711 divided by 9.807 is accoording to MY calculator: 0.378
where did you get 0.9 from?

Aye, I to am looking forward to the new system. Keep it up <3
Jsaya 4 Feb, 2018 @ 1:20pm
How's that coming along, Dev?
entspeak  [author] 6 Jan, 2018 @ 9:00am
I am currently working on a new world: Mercury to Jupiter - which will include everything in this world, plus Jupiter, Io, Europa, Ganymede, Callisto, and - hopefully - a custom asteroid belt.
entspeak  [author] 6 Jan, 2018 @ 8:56am
Yes. I've included instructions on how to update the world so that the correct version of Venus is used.
Amauros 6 Jan, 2018 @ 7:50am
The mod for Venus is missing from the steam workshop.

I only have 4 of the planets spawn in any idea why?
jackik 3 Oct, 2017 @ 1:21am
the gravity of the blackhole even unspawned so strong that it sucks all ores behind the visual layer of the game!
vF 2 Oct, 2017 @ 11:38pm
Hey, thanks for reviewing it.

I've tested again, this time with no black hole mod and with shorter distances between planets than yours at your GPS table. The ores poped out just fine. So now I'm wondering if it's a distance factor which could screw up with the server physics due to it's specs or whatever else...

I will try opening your pre-made world again to see if the bug still happens.
entspeak  [author] 2 Oct, 2017 @ 9:08pm
Gravity has no affect on how or where ore spawns - it's assigned by a color in the blue channel of the _mat planet image files. I had no problem finding ore on Ceres:

https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/867364351735379806/CBC41B8A99F0026485865355DE47032ADC855132/

I noticed a strange color shift on the ore maps for Mercury - which would cause the ore not to spawn and I've fixed that. I can now find the standard ore on Mercury. Even before, I was able to find the Magnesium, Silicon, and Uranium ores which are custom placements and abundant in specific sections of Mercury.

I'm wondering if this is a server issue and not, specifically, a mod issue. The black hole mod should have no impact on the ore spawning of other planets.

entspeak  [author] 30 Sep, 2017 @ 8:07am
I'll take a look at the ore maps and redo them, if need be. Thanks for reporting it.
vF 29 Sep, 2017 @ 7:07pm
Basically, all planets that I spawned on the Mercury GPS. My plan was to start from Mercury to Ceres, spawning 1 by 1, and then do the moons of Mars. However, I tested spawning Mars side-by-side with the Stock Earth, and the mining worked just fine.

Maybe its something related to distance that mess up with gravity? The issue is that the ores sometimes pop up, and sometimes pop from some crazy offset position (when they pop). Like if the gravity was sending them to some weird position....

I'm also using the mod of your Black hole - not spawned - so I'm not sure if just by loading it with the server could cause any problem with the gravity from planets.
entspeak  [author] 28 Sep, 2017 @ 9:31pm
All of the planets have ore, but I don't use ore markings - I use that channel to create the subtle albedo surface shading. I always test to see if ore is spawning. There are custom ore placements based on the terrain, but these are usually put on top of the default ones. Can you specify a planet that you are having an issue with?
vF 28 Sep, 2017 @ 5:26pm
Hello entspeak,
I've been testing out your planetary mods, which are visually amazing, and I would like to ask you if the mining system works on all those planets, if there are ore for mining, etc.

I tried to use the drills for mining, but sometimes I couldnt see the blocks of stone/ores. Is it a bug, or its because I spawned a bunch of planets close to each other?

Also, all ore detectors (hand drill and the ore detector on ships) weren't locating anything.

Thanks in advance
entspeak  [author] 23 Sep, 2017 @ 8:00am
No, sorry, that's not being planned. The aim was to have the distances relative to the ones in real life.
Captain_Brian 22 Sep, 2017 @ 9:12pm
Love this! Any chances of a version with all the planets closer together so you don't need to use the jump drive for travel from planet to planet, only on trips from maybel mercury to mars... (Yeah you'd see the other planets almost as moons in the sky of eachother but I think that would actually be cool.)
Amauros 22 Apr, 2017 @ 6:53pm
What's with the missing "M2C_Lander" local mod for this? I tried searching the workshop and came up with nothing.
Imote Khan 20 Mar, 2017 @ 3:08pm
This is amazing! I have been using a similar vanilla version I made myself, but yours takes it to a level I didn't think anyone else would. Right on!

I do have one question, is there any chance of a version with out asteroids? or is there a way I can customize it to have no asteroids? In my simplified version of the inner planets I randomly spread out twenty asteroids where the belt would be and that wasfine with me. better than low density, if I am being honest. No asteroids would make more sense than low density too, am I wrong?

Regardless, great work and I am really excited to use it for my hardcore vanilla single player world.
entspeak  [author] 12 Mar, 2017 @ 5:02pm
Not really a viable option... the space is too massive.
jackik 12 Mar, 2017 @ 4:42pm
can you perhaps create empty bodies that pretend to be planets/asteroids and don't let stuff spawn there? that would work similarly. but of course would be even more work.
entspeak  [author] 12 Mar, 2017 @ 4:40pm
@jackik - it's too big an area. I'm hoping, at some point to find/come up with a script that will limit procedural asteroid generation to the belts, but until then, there are just asteroids everywhere.
jackik 12 Mar, 2017 @ 4:34pm
could you scatter a bunch of asteroids along the belts where apropriate?
QuintusJ 12 Mar, 2017 @ 4:01pm
Oh okay. Didn't know you and GHOST had a feud of some sort. Anyways, good to hear you plan to put in Jupiter.
entspeak  [author] 12 Mar, 2017 @ 3:24pm
@SpaceWolf - I will never add GHOST's planets to worlds of mine... ever (long story that doesn't need to be relitigated, but suffice it to say, it's just never going to happen.) But, I am looking to create my own version of Jupiter, including the Galilean moons. Once that's done, I will add it. The next update will be a fix for planet tilt and sun direction.
QuintusJ 12 Mar, 2017 @ 11:19am
Can you make a version that has GHOST's Jupiter and Saturn?
entspeak  [author] 9 Mar, 2017 @ 2:15pm
@Stroomschok - this world is a template. The aim was to provide the system. I wanted to leave it to server admins and players to do with it as they please - to create their own scenarios. At some point, when Inhave more time, I may create my own scenario using this system.
Stroomschok 9 Mar, 2017 @ 9:41am
Ah ok. And does this map have any pirate bases? I haven't seen any so far.
entspeak  [author] 9 Mar, 2017 @ 5:27am
@Stroomschok - that's not possible in Space Engineers. Because the planets themselves do not rotate - the sun rotates around the planets, there is one speed for the day/night cycle... the one you choose in the World Settings.
Stroomschok 9 Mar, 2017 @ 2:06am
Do the planets all have different day/night cycles?
entspeak  [author] 21 Feb, 2017 @ 10:25pm
Added the GPS vicinity coordinates to the description.
entspeak  [author] 21 Feb, 2017 @ 2:35pm
I apologize. I didn't realize the gps markers I made wouldn't transfer to the workshop. I will add them when I get home. Forenzik has the correct ones listed, but Phobos and Deimos are missing... and it will be nigh on impossible to find them without GPS coords, LOL.

@Quarior - I will take a look at doing that. :)
Quarior 21 Feb, 2017 @ 9:20am
Can you make this map with the Earth of DukeOfLorraine ?
Forenzik 21 Feb, 2017 @ 9:18am
Found them, here are GPS markers. They are outside of the atmosphere and sometimes a little distance away but close enough to find the planets.

Forenzik 21 Feb, 2017 @ 8:46am
There are no GPS markers in the save, I can't seem to find any of the planets other than earth either, just some asteroids.
entspeak  [author] 21 Feb, 2017 @ 5:39am
@Lord Viltor - There should be GPS markers in the save.
Lord Viltor 20 Feb, 2017 @ 11:23pm
i cant find any planet lol besides the earth like i spawn at, any chance you could post the coords of each planet? so i can have an idea in what direction to head?
entspeak  [author] 20 Feb, 2017 @ 4:16pm
@pauli.rikula - should be fixed now.
entspeak  [author] 20 Feb, 2017 @ 3:17pm
I must've updated it with the new thumb from the dev branch. I apologize for that. Will fix it the moment I get home.
entspeak  [author] 20 Feb, 2017 @ 3:15pm
Is this not in the Stable branch? I will fix that.
foobaron 20 Feb, 2017 @ 11:32am
could you make one world in the stable branch?
entspeak  [author] 19 Feb, 2017 @ 2:56pm
The world is set to have low density asteroids throughout. But, creating a good looking asteroid belt in a world this large would be impossible. I wish we could limit asteroid generation to specific areas and create an asteroid belt that way.
Kresslack 19 Feb, 2017 @ 12:37pm
Any asteroid belts present? Awesome work either way, subbed.
