UPDATE: So I looked at the files for Pandora's Box, and immediately I can see that it modifies the capturable.lua file, which is the main thing this mod modifies too. As such, these two mods, in their current state, will not work together at all! I haven't precisely diagnosed exactly how the insta-death issue is occurring, but either way, if you are using Pandora's Box, it definitely conflicts with this, so you might want to unsub from this for now (don't unsub from Pandora's Box for obvious reasons). It shouldn't mess with anything, not even your captures, and I will try and release some kind of compatability patch for Pandora's Box alongside my reload.

So an update: I actually made some good progress on the reload, as in I made nearly all monsters (except maybe bugs and fish, but I'll get to that) I was hoping to make capturable work as intended. Scripting issues are still a thing, so a handful act pretty strangely when captured, but I'm looking into how to fix some of them. I'll release as soon as I can!

@Puptart :D This error is... kind of unfamiliar to me, trying to see what might cause something like this. In the meantime, might comment that it might have something to do with another mod, maybe, since this mod never did anything like this for me, and this kind of error doesn't strike me as something this mod would cause. Sorry I'm not of much help atm.

And I did a test, the same thing happens with pet teathers too it's so weird. Hopefully this helps out! :)

Also, can someone dealing with monsters insta-dying when released from pods send a pastebin for their log file? I'd like to see what's up with that, since I never saw anything like that happen when I used this mod.

@[GEWP] Coolsnowman98 Sorry, had some stuff come up in life, so haven't gotten very much of anywhere yet. If I can set some time to it I'll probably at least get somewhere, so might try for this weekend. Haven't really finished the beta for another mod I've been hoping to release as it is :\

I'll keep this thread posted, though... again, might need a LUA expert's help if I am to get some of the monsters working (i.e. making captured mega drones not attack their owner ), but at the very least I want to get them all capturable. I'll shoot for that for now.

Note to anyone wanting to use this mod, don't do it in it's current state
As The AnchientOne stated below, in it's current state this mod breaks all captures
once released the monsters will instantly die. Even uninstalling it doesn't fix the issue.
so this is a warning to anyone planning to use this mod in it's current state.

@Arc it didn't screw up anything for me, all captured monsters, even those that wouldn't typically be capturable, still stayed in their pods.

also i think i will release a reloaded version as soon as i have enabled capturability on all desired monsters, but again I can't promise that all will function properly at release. I'll see what I can do to fix those that act incorrectly post-release maybe, but not sure if i'll be able to do much or not.

I'd have priority on making a version that isn't absolutely broken of course, so the "primary" version would almost certainly be released first (might be the only one anyway... it might be absolute hell trying to make npcs capturable at all). For now my priorities are mainly just trying to make previous things that should have been capturable work, some of which are easily modified to actually function, some of which are not, so for the time being I'm not gonna focus on trying to make NPCs of all things a capture target.

If one can capture NPCs, it kinda defeats the purpose of recruitment :P It could also screw up quests if you catch someone plot important, or catch the giver of a quest you're doing. Heck, catching pretty much anyone with a speaking line in a mission could mess things up badly... And then we have the dangers of trying to catch ANYthing while your crewmates are present o.O What happens when a crewmate is caught? And then there's the fact that captured NPCs would not be able to be returned to their home, so you'd have the choice between having a walking glitch in your pod, or removing them from the character's game (Or possibly your entire UNIVERSE) forever.
Even if we're talking coincidingly-released versions, I don't want the release date of the primary version to be dragged down by the turmoils of trying to find ways to work around the inevitable paradoxes of the Everything version.

I mean, I supppose it wouldn't be a bad idea to release two versions, i.e. one which makes ANYTHING capturable (npcs and the like included) versus one which makes anything that SHOULD be capturable capturable

also still having issues working with certain scripts, so quite a few monsters still won't work as they should... i think i'd need someone who's actually good with LUA (I'm not) to modify their scripts to get them to function properly, we'll see.
