Ahh, i see. Fair enough :)

Ok, don't worry about it :)

I did not assume that you did that by mistake. I said I didn't come across this issue and so I didn't know it exists.

My feelings weren't hurt at all. I was merely noting that that's not the kind of mistake that I would make.
cyron43 24 Aug, 2012 @ 11:00am
No need to have your feelings hurt, Nick.

At this point, you should know that I would never make a blatant oversight like that :)
cyron43 24 Aug, 2012 @ 10:46am
So THAT'S why. I was wondering why you used the 1-lasers. :-)
I have only done 3-digit circuits yet. So it's no wonder I haven't come across this issue.

If buttons could handle more connections, then it could be done with four lasers. I had to use eight since there are eight "1" connecttions per button, plus the "0" laser. Since there are only eight connections per item, I added the "1" lasers.

Nicely done. After looking at it i noticed that this could be done with only 4 lasers. I assume you used 8 for clarity?

I experienced the same with my "Gizmos" map. I just made the room not portable in order to avoid exploits but I couldn't compile it. Maybe BEEmod is responsible for that (but I don't even use BEEmod elements in that map).

UPDATE: So I started the game up, and for some reason it sent this map way over the item limit. Not sure why. This isn't even close to it. Probably some stupid glitch. Anyways, I removed all of the connection symbols and made the chamber a bit smaller to counter that.
N-Sunderland  [author] 14 Aug, 2012 @ 5:53am
That explains why you're so good with mechanisms :)

Yes indeed. The principle is very easy. It only becomes confusing when I connect the outputs to the appropriate objects. One has to watch out to not make any mistakes. But wth, who said programming is easy. ;-)
I've done it several years in my job as a C# developer.

It's definitely hard to follow if you try to focus on the connections (as I said in the description, 68). But if you think more about how binary works, and if you read my description, then it's simple. And it's certainly less complex than the other one.

Nice improvement of the visuals! Can be a bit confusing if you only try to follow the symbols, but a lot easier to understand than the first version ^^

I can imagine :) Too bad funnels use so many entities. They're just more fun than lasers.
cyron43 8 Aug, 2012 @ 8:24am
I did it a few hours ago but with funnels. I know that's ridiculous but it looks cool. ;-)
N-Sunderland  [author] 8 Aug, 2012 @ 6:48am
Once you fully understand it, it's incredibly simple :)
cyron43 7 Aug, 2012 @ 2:36pm
Excellent! I will recreate it (but not publish) to better get my head around this. :-)
