DXT5 и DXT5_NM это разные форматы.
В этом формате и стандартные некоторые текстуры нормалей сохранены у TpF, и XnView их тоже не открывает.

@KittX, XnView открывает все DDS(DXT1 и DXT5) в этой папке, кроме двух выделенных.

В последнем патче вроде работает, хотя я, честно говоря, снимаю шляпу перед другим модом окружения, который на TpF-Mods выложен.

То, что DDS не открываются, это нормально, XnView не умеет читать определенный формат DDS (по-моему это DXT5_NM)

Настройки леса из TFCE не влияют на количество леса (по крайней мере в меньшую сторону), слишком много генерирует это окружение. Мод Vegetation Increase не пробовал.
А в целом как, для последнего патча Окружение нормально работает?

Hm, it should be "murky" the more top-down you look at it, and more blue at an angle. That's how it is irl too (if you flew the planes you'll notice the water from above is almost solid color, if not reflecting specs from the sun), but if you look at the water from lower height - it reflects the sky more. It's the fresnel effect.
But if it's murky everywhere then something must be wrong. Maybe shaders are now changed? I'll take a look when i can.
About cleaning texture cache, I believe it's fine. Anyway, with the next loading of game/scenery all the textures will be cached there again. Notice that the loading time will be slower this time, but as soon as they're cached it'll be faster again. And if some texture mod (including ths one) will be changed, you'll have to clear the cache again... You can disable the caching in the config file, but then the loading times will be slow each time.

Hey, not sure if I cleaned the texture cash correctly. I just went into the texture cache folder and deleted all the subfolders and files there. Is this correct?

Also, is the water supposed to be so murky? In your last screenshot here it is also murky in the foreground but blue in the background. My water is murky everywhere.

Regarding the snow, I know :( I really would love to have snow, but terrain shader works that way so if the slope is very high, even on the low, sea level, it picks the "snow" texture there. So it doesn't look right at all for summer. I plan to do more seasons, there will be snow.
As for forests, again I went for the even and balanced look, if I have different color under forests there would be brown patches at green grass everywhere. I would love more subtle and longer transitions between forest and fields, but they are very sudden when you zoom out.

Doesnt work with high (experimental) mountains. The peeks just have this green texture pattern above the grey part. Really ugly. Also, the ground between many trees (aka forest) is the same (pretty) grass as everywhere else. I dont like that, theres not much grass in forests. Would love to love this, but cant.

Marek, I actually liked the darker, greyed out much more, but there are many players that reported it was too dark. And indeed, going from wide-gamut monitor to standard TN monitor the colors became nightmare. So I tried to do something inbetween.
But, after latest patch all materials started to use DDS textures instead of TGA, and who knows what else was changed. Who knows what color profile does the game use now?
I will check the colors on my TN monitor, if they're oversaturated on both monitors now, I'll have to tone them down again.

Seems to me like very recently the nice, realistic colours as in the pictures to this mod have changed to far more saturated ones, making the environment less realistic and comic-like. Is this intended? Is there any way to get the previous, more greyish and less saturated version of grass textures? I liked them far more.

Sorry, but i won't revert it to that way, as it wasn't as intended, and I spent so many man-hours to get all summery-green grass colors matching together. Maybe I'll come up with spring or autumn pack next time, with more moderate colors.

@KittX Been using recently and have been loving it! Please can you revert the update on 28th Feb, i think the grey bits in the terrain look nice and more realistic at train level rather than burds eye view. The new all green terrain, for me it is now too green, the previous green grey shade worked together very well, esp in train driver or truck view. Great Work.

Ничего не понимаю... Удалил всё полностью из папки «кэш текстур» по рекомендуемой ссылке, изменил строчку про компрессию на рекомендуемую, а в итоге всё стало вообще блеклое и пятнами, без выраженного неба и т.д. Так понимаю, сейчас игра и без новых, и без старых текстур. Другие моды при этом не вообще стоят. Что не так делаю?

Bear with me, I'll compress the tex's to DDS when i have a bit of time. They look blurry most likely because they need DDS mip maps now. Meaning I must play with mip maps for each texture too, to make it look right :P

Weird if so, in most g the games .tga and .dds are interchangeable formats without needing even to change texture extension in material.
Converting to dds should be fairly easy.

in the beta patch they changed all terrain/detail_color.tga and terrain/detail_nrml.tga against .dds .
So that's probably the reason why your mod doesn't look anymore as before.

Can also confirm as of october 24th 2017 that this works by renaming the texture folder. Athough Brekfloor got the ocation wrong, its in transport fever mods folder. Thanks it looks amazing!

Yes ! confirmed what Quadro7F said ! just find the mod in mods ( mods are in Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\ID\ and you need to find the number of the mod by enter in each of one of that folders and ques with poictures what mod is it and rename Texture with texture ! and is finally working ! tks quadro !

HDR stands for "High Dynamic Range Image" and it provides big contrast in the game. You can turn in on/off in the graphic settings

lol, I just found how to fix that - you just need to rename the folder "Textures" into "textures"which is in the mod files, with smaller "t", and it gonna work again ^^
