Great mod, but when you read a book the second time, "your" is spelled "yourr."
Wisp 29 Dec, 2014 @ 12:33pm
Same here, no longer working.
Hinter Knight 18 Dec, 2014 @ 10:26pm
No longer working for me
Porsö 12 Sep, 2014 @ 4:22am
It stopped working?

Maybe 20 books are not enough, but I haven't experienced any change of my speechcraft skill =/.... I think, it's outdated, huh?

i love playing as a "scholar" a mage with good speach and reads all the time, this mod makes scholars more common, or, at least, easier to do. i use one of the redesigned speech perks, the one that allows yields, and it is really helpful

This mod is without a doubt awesome. Combined with a better perktree for speech (I got Perky), speech becomes much more something worth investing in. The mod adds to the realism of Skyrim and it makes it interesting buying and actually reading books.

Hmm.. well unsubscribing was the only thing I'd done (no changes with other mods). I just resubscribed and loaded an older save, which got my skills back) and left the mod on after that

As a side note, I have both Dawnguard & Hearthfire and have no problems with this mod. Also,if you use the Skyrim UI, you can easily tell read/unread books.
Seewhyseeoh 22 Mar, 2013 @ 11:39am
I also have not noticed ANY skill dropping due to un-subscribing from this mod.
Ink  [author] 22 Mar, 2013 @ 11:01am
@Kaos I tested this myself and this can't be due to my mod. It must be something else. Noone else here or on Nexus reported such issue.
Kaos 16 Mar, 2013 @ 9:25am
When I unsubscribed from the mod, not only did my speech level go down to way below what it was before I ever had this mod, but my other skills did too :/
Seewhyseeoh 22 Jan, 2013 @ 4:45am
Asof today, (after a couple of months of not playing) I've unsubscribed. My Speech is @ 100, so I dont need this mod anymore. Got to 100 easily, due to the 'abuse' I outlied below (Oct 9 2012) Still 'Favourited' tho :)
deano 6 Jan, 2013 @ 9:45am
I have Dawnguard & heathfire
Seewhyseeoh 9 Oct, 2012 @ 3:20pm
PS. I have Dawnguard & Hearthfire installed and this work the same as before (ie vanilla)
Seewhyseeoh 9 Oct, 2012 @ 3:19pm
I found a 'cheat' within your mod. If you read a book in one place, twice to get both bonus's then go elsewhere and read a different copy of the same book, you can get the bonus's again. With the ammount of copies of book in the game (I have had 7 copies of some books), this mod can be abused :(
Is there a way to fix this?
Seewhyseeoh 9 Oct, 2012 @ 11:25am
I've been using the Steam Workshop version fpr over a month now and never had a problem with it. It works perfectly for me - Thanks Markovicblue :D

Ok, thanks. I'll give it a try and let you know how it goes :)

I was away for some time so I reply now.
@[T0X] Dovahkiin Dash Yes I have this double RR issue - will try t correct it asap.
@Seewhyseeoh This is my very first mod ever so I am not that much versed in making script that will detect opening every page. This means it will increase Speech as soon as book is opened. It gives normally twice increment. First time depending on your level and second time one fixed amount. Since with every Spech level it requires more XP in Speech skill, this second reading becomes very small amount on higher levels. You can't get twice Speech increase from same book so if you read first+second time Mixed unit tactics thats it. Third time will give you nothing just notify you.
@Cutflood Adding amulet for Speech increase should be separate mod and I think it should be easy to script that amulet. Just need to find proper event trigger
Seewhyseeoh 15 Aug, 2012 @ 12:39pm
With Skill book, just an 'OPen and Close' gets you the Skill increase. Is it the same with this, or do I have to read every page? Also, does it count for book I've already read? Ive read loads already and dont want to have to read them all again.....
Thanks for the mod & upload. Rated up :)
Cutflood 13 Aug, 2012 @ 12:51pm
Oh and reading the comments below, heres an idea, any way to add an amulet or item, that could be scripted to increase your speechcraft when you read a book? That would make every book provide a bonus yes? I figure if you can think it, its possible. Just depends on how much you know, and how much of your time your willing to dedicate it. :D
Cutflood 13 Aug, 2012 @ 12:49pm
Just subbed! If this works with all the mods I have now, it will be getting five stars. Now, reading every book has a point! Thank you!
Ink  [author] 10 Aug, 2012 @ 9:11am
@Casanova DeLarge Technically yes but I can't do it without contacting author of that mod - it is not fair to just mess with mod of others without permission.
Bitchcoin™ 8 Aug, 2012 @ 3:48am
Could you make a version that's compatible with Books Books Books?
Dark Demonic Dremora 7 Aug, 2012 @ 12:42pm
i have noticed that you can read exaclty the same type of book over and over agein, and still get better at speach if you just read another exemple of it.
SpaceFox40K 7 Aug, 2012 @ 11:22am
neat, and ur right!
Dark Demonic Dremora 7 Aug, 2012 @ 3:34am
SOUNDS PROMESING...
