this really dumbs down the AI, im playing on deity - AI doesnt build walls, you can conquer modern era cities with archers and swordmen, they even expand less

AI is very agressive and smart in early game, but the more time advance, the more AI get dumber. Wars neve enders, AI never attack and loose cities easy.

Doesn't work. The AI stop building walls, wars never end, and they don't seem to replace troops. I just conquered 3 cities off England on King with 3 archers and 1 warrior.

@Sethamphetamine If it's only one AI with 3 cities, then it is plausible (they could use one of the pantheons to get free settler). If it's more players, then something is not right.

The mod itself seems to work in terms of AI being more aggresive and producing more units, but in my game it stopped getting any benefits from that behavior in later eras. Maybe this mod needs to be tweaked in marathon speed, because AI can't gather any descent army and looses units too fast to do anything meaningful. Though until modern age it was doing quite well, I must say.

Yes, c00ckiez, it is possible. The way to do it: Grab a Scout first thing after you settle, maybe even two, depending on your early game needs. You need that Eureka on Astrology (which should also be your first tech). The Scouts are looking for a Natural Wonder and for as many villages as possible to hit the Eureka.You are also more likely to get a Pantheon faster, to grab Divine Spark. You also need to find a good place for your second Holy District. After Astrology, you have three options: 1) try going for Stonehenge if you have production; always consolidate your Holy Districts before activating the Prophet. 2) Try a Settler, so that you get that second city ASAP and get two Holy Districts (you can use your gold to push the second district). 3) Or try rushing a Holy District+Shrine; this works best if you use gold to buy the Shrine, and if you can give Pingala his third promotion. I'm not sure if it's because I was playing in marathon mode or what but the AI was just PRINTING units and settlers at triple the rate I could in the ancient era. I was only playing on Prince but I had no chance at all. They had 3 cities by turn 40 marathon . I might expect that in normal speed but in marathon that should be impossible.

Not working as I hoped. It works in the sense that the game runs normally and all that - but the AI is much worse than usual. USA loses multiple settlers to barbs, although I have a mod to tweak barbarians (mellow barbarians) installed. Doesn't try to attack the barbs, even though they are weak, so I can take all the settlers. India attacks USA, even though they have much less troops. USA has more troops than India, but keeps them all at a distant city, while their two main cities (the capital and their second city) get easily taken by India. None of the AI civs that I have met, have more than three cities overall, while I'm at my eight or ninth city. Just weird behavior overall. And no, I don't have any other mod that changes the AI installed - the AI plays like this since I installed this mod.

Dont know whats going on with this, reached industrial era, nearly all civs hadnt expanded properly, some only had 2 cities in a large open space, some only had their capital. None were exploring or anything. Basically turned them all into stagnant vegetables.

Mod doesn't work at all. Bots not developing wonders and giving the entirety of their GPT for your luxuries. Among many other issues.

Yes, I agree with jptrrs - also, with the heroes mode on, the AI completely ignores heroes. Also almost entirely ignores wonders. And several AI opponents ended up essentially giving up after they lost a city to an early dark age, and never expanded beyond one or two cities, though they had much room to expand. This mod made a bad AI much worse.

As of today, it simply doesn't work. AI opponents become helpless, unable to expand or even defend themselves. Stay away from this mod.

In all my playthroughs when I have the heros options on, the ai never tries to claim any heroes leaving them all for me. This is a big oversight or I have some other setting wrong. Not sure. The ai should compete for some of them.

pretty bad mod but Firaxis is a shit studio too cause they like making shi t AI for games and try to protect it(prevented outside improvements) and clearly they don't want smart players playing their games.

Sadly I have to unsubscribe from this. I just beat the game with ease on immortal. A feat that is typically much much harder but not with this mod. I won a culture victory but I could take any of my enemies cities, they never used army formations, airplanes or nukes.

Every time I use this mod, the AI refuse to develop resources, especially luxury resources. They'll trade to pay me insane amounts of gold (20-30gpt) for luxury resources, but not develop their own tiles.

It seems this mode turns all the Ais into pacifists. They fight with units but never try to conquer a city.

Actually the AI can be updated using SQL but it is limited and will more likely break something than make it harder. Never tried with XML but I am sure it would be very similar. Unfortunately, for the Civ AI the actual strength is very limited since the game is super complicated. The CPU can barely fill in all the parts and by making it excel at certain parts will make it fail at others. The only way to change this would be using DLL code to expand the memory a little but then again the difficulty in doing that would likely not compensate for the game play change.

Will this ever get a new update after the expansions have now all been released. I also don't know how well it works because not much seems different so far with me playing. The AI could have maybe settled their cities better but was hoping they would plan districts better. The AI might be better at wars but I am still unsure.
