God bless you for leaving this up! I used this file to trouble shoot my mod conflicts. So glad this is still here! Thank you!
Maruka  [author] 18 Jun, 2017 @ 1:08am
It should be fine actually. I might update it again to be sure, but it shouldn't really be necessary at the moment.
Legoras 18 Jun, 2017 @ 12:05am
Compared to Main version, how much this is outdated? (3 updated).
Maruka  [author] 17 Jun, 2017 @ 6:24am
For most of the Dwarf/Greenskin settlements that would be the case.
humbleacadie 17 Jun, 2017 @ 6:20am
Ok thanks. So playing with Legacy is just playing with vanilla forts then
Maruka  [author] 17 Jun, 2017 @ 5:53am
Yea startpos is not a problem. Atm we remove them from all greenskin/dwarf villages, but we will probably stop that soon, because we have a few more walled versions coming in soon.
humbleacadie 17 Jun, 2017 @ 5:49am
Also, I am using a mod which modifies the startpos, to release all norsca tribes from start (baersonlings, etc). Is GCCM compatible with mods which modify the startpos ?
humbleacadie 17 Jun, 2017 @ 5:45am
Thanks. What do you mean when you say the other (main) mod removes the walls ? Does it remove them for all cities of the dwarves and greenskins (without ability to build them) or only on secondary settlements, or something else ?
Maruka  [author] 17 Jun, 2017 @ 5:34am
I just haven't updated the description of this mod in a while, apparently. The only difference between this mod and the main mod, is that this one does not remove the walls for dwarfs and greenskins.

You'll need the settlement packs either way, otherwise nothing will happen.
humbleacadie 17 Jun, 2017 @ 5:33am
Could you clarify exactly what is the difference between Legacy and Main mod ? Besides, what exactly does "Main" include compared to the settlement pack ?
Are Bretonnia and Vampire settlement packs not compatible with Legacy ? It's stated in this mod description "SUBSCRIBE to this mod and the REQUIRED ITEMS Settlement Pack: Dwarf and Greenskin and Settlement Pack: Empire and you are ready to go - nothing else! "
Maruka  [author] 12 Jun, 2017 @ 10:50am
If the settlement has walls, you'll get a walled settlement battle. In most cases this will then be a vanilla battle, especially for the minor settlements. But you'll definitely get a walled settlement battle :)

Hi, quick quetion about the mod. I play with the tier 4 minor settlements, plus the tier 4 minor settlements have walls mod. If i install this mod, and have a tier 4 settlement, will it still have walls, or will it use the custom map that doesnt have walls from this mod, or will the lvl 4 cities overrule it? I find that having a big, juicy, walled up empire is my thing, and with that in mind its important to me.

@Ana Normally, when a settlement has walls, you will have to build siege equipment in order to attack the settlement right? The AI also does this, and normally that's fine. However, CA has not given us the option to create functional walls in battles, which means that the AI will cruise around in their siege towers without doing anything. The only way to stop the AI from building siege equipment was to remove the 'walls' from the settlements. The downside to this is that the AI will now be bale to attack those settlements immediately instead of spending time building siege equipment. Some people didn't like this change, so we uploaded this version of the mod which doesn't remove walls from settlements.

What do you mean by "does not remove the walls"? I don't understand.

Im so confused! Walls, no walls, Im not up to speed on what these mods are doing with regards to walls. Can someone please explain this from the beginning? I'd love to use these maps, but I dont know which versions to get because I dont know anything about how the walls are affecting the game! Why make two versions with and without walls? Im confused.
Brakeven 25 Mar, 2017 @ 5:17am
Dem sweet walls!
PsychoticSoul 24 Mar, 2017 @ 9:05am
Thanks for keeping a Legacy version, I want my walls.
Maruka  [author] 23 Mar, 2017 @ 5:35pm
If I recall correctly all standard minor vampire settlements currently use custom maps. There aren't any nice custom maps out yet for vampire major cities though, so we haven't implemented those yet. The vampire update will include vampiric versions of cities such as Altdorf.
Reddragonman87 23 Mar, 2017 @ 5:33pm
@ Maruka alright cool that answers my question.

Which vamp settlements are in this pack? if ya don't mind me asking.
Maruka  [author] 23 Mar, 2017 @ 5:27pm
There are already some vampire settlements in this, but they are not yet in a separate settlement pack. When we add more vampire maps we will have to put them in a separate pack as well though, due to file size limits.
Reddragonman87 23 Mar, 2017 @ 5:25pm
Are their Vampire settlements in this? or is that a wip?
Maruka  [author] 23 Mar, 2017 @ 1:17pm
@Senor_beef Yep!
Senor_beef 23 Mar, 2017 @ 12:55pm
are all these map mods compatible with online co-op?
StrangeAK47 23 Mar, 2017 @ 2:17am
thankyou :8bitheart:
Maruka  [author] 20 Mar, 2017 @ 11:38pm
@joproulx99 All major settlements always have walls. I am familiar with the map mod for minor settlements, and it is a nice mod, but the maps that we use still give a big advantage to the defenders simply due to their layout. This legacy version of the mod is exactly the same as the main mod, except that it does not remove walls from any settlement.

@Edgey This mod is not a fix, it is the same as the main mod but without the change which removes walls from dwarf and greenskin settlements, becsuss some people don't want that change.
.EXE♛ 20 Mar, 2017 @ 7:29pm
So, do i just need this mod if i want with walls?, or is this mod just a fix and i still need the original mod?
☸𝕵𝖔☸ 20 Mar, 2017 @ 5:26pm
But I dont get it...why is it only the dwarfs and greenskins that have no walls? it should be the case for all factions...otherwise it its not very interesting :/

There is a map mod for minor settlements that make it so that only minor settlements without walls have new town maps...I think it is a good design choice. Maybe you could do the same and do it for major settlements? For special settlements that always have walls, maybe its possible to make it so that they get walls at level five only and meanwhile use the city map(s) you guys have added?

my 2 cent! cheers!
Zoidberg  [author] 20 Mar, 2017 @ 4:10pm
Could we please get the walls removed! :)
