Rookie, this is when I first learn you could color the frankens and they just struck me as a funny little group. Thanks for visiting :steamhappy:
Rooke 12 Aug, 2023 @ 6:23pm
I've never seen so many multi-colored turrets walking off a cliff before. :p2chell:
That was totally different! And fun.
Gilles1946 7 Feb, 2018 @ 10:26am
Niceley done, you make me smile. Thanks.
Jade BGE  [author] 2 Oct, 2017 @ 7:01pm
Right? Thanks
zeo1337 2 Oct, 2017 @ 3:30pm
Of all of Jade's tests, this one is definatively the hardest.
Jade BGE  [author] 15 Aug, 2017 @ 5:27pm
Well prepare to be mostly throroughly unimpressed. I appreciate your visit! That was when I first learned you could cover them with color and it was new to most others too but not any more.
Chili Head 15 Aug, 2017 @ 4:35pm
Jade I haven't played one of your chambers for ages (too busy building) so I thought I'd start again right from the beginning. Hah hah that was like Night of the Living Dead. Obviously not a challenge but sometimes you just need to smile, and I did. Thanks.
Jade BGE  [author] 27 Jun, 2017 @ 7:38am
That's because it wasn't a puzzle. Years ago when all new things were being discovered with test making elements, the covering of frankens with gel was fun and funny. So that's all this is. Thanks
Starlord Mixtape 26 Jun, 2017 @ 10:20pm
Feels unfinished.
jandlml 15 May, 2017 @ 8:42pm
well that was easy haha

Sick!

It did make me smile :) The colors on the cubes look good on my screen.
Polux 11 Mar, 2014 @ 1:26pm
I got a tremendous fright ... like an army of robots with red eyes :D
Fun.
Jade BGE  [author] 23 Oct, 2013 @ 7:33am
Thank you for visiting my workshop. My original intention was to see if they would bounce that didn't happen but they did become very nice colors so I thought what the heck!

I'd be happy to check out your map. Thanks
Picton 22 Oct, 2013 @ 8:30pm
Ah this map... Where to start well you did make me smile :) ... for a prolonged period of time. Gotta feel sorry for those defective little guys trying to make there way somewhere it's a real shame they don't bounce or slide but funny none the less.

I'd appreciate it if you could try out one of my chambers: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=188025272

I hope you like it and thanks for putting a smile in my day.
Jade BGE  [author] 5 Aug, 2013 @ 1:28pm
Yes, the white part. ;)
Sounds excellent! If it's anything like your other test it will take me a bit to figure out the first step. Thanks again.
ProfDave3d 5 Aug, 2013 @ 1:16pm
Cool! My latest level is called Save the Cube, Kill the Turrets

A couple notes:

1. Its large size, and white building exterior were not at all influenced by your awesome-looking Lighthouse!

(Well, actually, maybe it was. But not consciously. Except for maybe the white part :-)

1b. While the level is "large," most of the puzzle is in the middle, and follows pretty logically once you figure out the first step.)

2. And my placement of the turrets on the roof was in no way related to my throwaway suggestion on your Orange and Fizzle level -- that there should be a way to kill the turrets on the roof! :-)
Jade BGE  [author] 5 Aug, 2013 @ 10:57am
Okay. Yes, I was just having fun. I'll still play your latest. Thanks
ProfDave3d 4 Aug, 2013 @ 10:48pm
LOL! That is the silliest map I've ever seen!

I was going to ask you to try my latest level, but I think I should do one of your "real" levels first :-)

Thanks for the smile!
Zoraya 18 May, 2013 @ 2:04pm
I love those crazy things with franken cubes. Very funny, thanks!

Jade BGE
your welcome.
hope you will make a new map soon ?
Jade BGE  [author] 9 Feb, 2013 @ 3:50pm
No, you did help for future reference for sure. Now that I know where to locate them that was the major missing piece. I will back what I have up and thank you.
mood3rd 9 Feb, 2013 @ 3:34pm
sorry I could not solve your problem.
you could try the Discussions link above. some one should know.
but be very carefull, as they may not have your interests in mind, or may sort it out ?
the support above, to contact steam, may help, or point you in the right dirrection ?
ps. why not copy & back up your map "Vibration" & any future maps you do.
I advise you to exit portal & steam first.
Jade BGE  [author] 8 Feb, 2013 @ 5:54pm
Interesting. I did locate the puzzle. And I see I only have the one "Vibration". Because of the crashing the fix for my problem had advised me to uninstall portal then reinstall it. Well that did fix my problem but the puzzles were deleted also. So my query would be since they are still playable and accessable to comment on and to edit title description add photo's etc. how can I get them back on my pc? That's a rhetorical question to myself but it seams to me that since they are"out there" somewhere should I not be able to get them back here in my pc? By syncing that opposite way that you mentioned? I don't know...
Jade BGE  [author] 8 Feb, 2013 @ 5:42pm
I do appreciate your efforts to look into this matter mood3rd. It's hard for me to imaginee that this would not be a easier problem to find and fix for or info on than it is with the frequency with which people get new pc's or data is lost or what have you. I'll check it out and see if I can find them. Also glad you found a way to backup your stuff because you never know with electronics and it's a real bummer to lose them. Thanks again.
mood3rd 8 Feb, 2013 @ 3:59pm

the following may help you get your portal 2 maps back.
but I am NOT a I.T. person.
path to portal 2 maps on a windows 7 home premium 64 bit pc.
start / computer / C drive (or which ever one your operating system is on) /program files (x86) / steam / steam apps / common / portal 2 / portal 2 / puzzles
I believe if you copy the contents of "puzzles" from your old pc,
into the puzzles, in the same place on your new pc, it will give you access to your maps again.
if steam then tells you your pc is out of sinc with the cloud & offeres to sinc either way.
make sure your pc's steam data, goes to the cloud, not the other way around.
as I said I am not in I.T.
I have not done this my self either.
so no guarantees.
perhaps show this to someone you know who knows their way around a pc, & ask thier advice.
hope this helps.
ps. I just backed up a copy of my "puzzles" file, to an external hard drive.
Jade BGE  [author] 8 Feb, 2013 @ 10:29am
Thanks, I got a kick out of it too. They're just cute.
stormsend 8 Feb, 2013 @ 9:46am
A whole trench full of red white and blue cubes with legs flailing everywhere. Hilarious. I went around straightening out the ones who got tangled and couldn't make it to the dropoff. Even found one lost and wandering at the exit. Great show.
Jade BGE  [author] 27 Jan, 2013 @ 5:38pm
Yes I knew tha about franken's and have contemplated using them that way in a chamber. I'll check out your map.
mood3rd 27 Jan, 2013 @ 4:15pm
funny :)
by the way.
although franken cubes don't bounce.
you can bounce off a blue franken cube.

please play my map:

Like a mass of cubenescence puppies come to lick your face off! Adorable.
Jade BGE  [author] 9 Dec, 2012 @ 3:49pm
No, I got the idea from a chamber with bouncing blue cubes and I wondered if frankens would bounce too. No, they just got cuter than they already are.
jgfquantum 9 Dec, 2012 @ 1:07pm
Hilarious! This must have been a 2am sleepless night build after a night of tequila.
