The build date from 2017 and I don't think he update his builds.
Amalthova 6 Mar, 2020 @ 4:26am
@parkasever This build is great, but it now has one large problem. The refinery now blocks the wheels from spawning, and the wheels stop the refinery from being built
Namen Malkav 8 Sep, 2018 @ 6:41pm
there is no way to put the wheels so close :(
andigogo 30 Nov, 2017 @ 10:38am
I think i understand what you mean... i tried both versions... at first let it built by nanites, as i saw the tires ar emissing, removed i the rest of the blocks, added tires and tried the blocks after again. no chance... Tires are to close to the own other blocks. Iam not sure if there is a setting now where you can adjust the distanze between wheels and the axlestuff... have to check....

@andigogo - You've built it in Survival! Great! - either the ground is in the way and you will have to lift it up before the wheels can be spawned. OR one of the recent updats might have changed the allowed distances from wheel grids to other blocks. Try placing them FIRST or maybe wider.

Hi, i build it now but i dont get the wheels on. Somehting is in the way. Whats the trick to get the wheels on it?? is it just to put a 3x3 wheel on the wheelbase?
parkasever  [author] 9 Jul, 2017 @ 3:52pm
Use it while you can - the 0 friction wheels might not end up in the final game.
zenol the soviet waffle 9 Jul, 2017 @ 11:22am
@parkaserver - its that simple?! i've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to do this. XD
parkasever  [author] 9 Jul, 2017 @ 3:00am
@zenol - Turn the wheel and set its friction to 0. Then use some kind of thruster for movement.
zenol the soviet waffle 8 Jul, 2017 @ 6:50pm
how do you make it hover like that? i want to make a land speeder that does the same thing.
XCanG 16 Apr, 2017 @ 5:48am
Why it start to feeling me that I play in Ex Machina? (one old game)
parkasever  [author] 1 Apr, 2017 @ 3:47pm
@Bones: Yes. I was driving another "skimmer" over a base landing pad and it worked.
Bones 1 Apr, 2017 @ 2:05pm
Ok, so this is fantastic! Now all we need is an invisable wheel mod and hovercraft are a go :) Question thou does this work moving over armor blocks?
saqib126 1 Apr, 2017 @ 5:07am
@parkaserver welp how did I miss that? Thanks anyways.
Darkaiser 31 Mar, 2017 @ 2:02am
This is BRILLIANT!
stoicboss101 30 Mar, 2017 @ 11:46pm
honestly i havent tried using the "hover wheels" method with autopilot. nice touch! although i havent played in about three months, and the wheel-tread glitch is new to me. how did you pull that off?
parkasever  [author] 30 Mar, 2017 @ 8:19pm
@saqib126 - add FRICTION to the wheels. Or add another thruster to the front (there is an available spot)
saqib126 30 Mar, 2017 @ 7:16pm
Is there some way to get it to stay in place? I keeps wandering around, and sadly for me slamed itself into a cliff, other than that, great little refinery bot.
Merc 30 Mar, 2017 @ 10:42am
Very cool concept, multiplayer did not like it though and sent it cartwheeling into the distance. still very cool :D
System1024 30 Mar, 2017 @ 8:18am
Fucks sake, wasn't long untill someone exploited wheels in this manner
(not really, wheels were added ~3 years ago)
TonyMax.Fr 30 Mar, 2017 @ 3:04am
It's sliding? so it's glitch use i think...
Biomechannibal 29 Mar, 2017 @ 10:45pm
You sir, have just paved the way to many a hover-car I believe.
jarge2 29 Mar, 2017 @ 6:06pm
Played with this on earthlike, mars and titan, and with a few tweaks works fantastic! Added a hydro to front refinery port, moved camera, pinched in an ore detector, added a pilot seat up top and have plans to expand it a little more. I added the hydro to the front, as it seemed to stabalize it a little more, doesnt drift as much. The remote retrieval is awesome, saves time for sure. Seems pretty durable, had it in a few bad situations in rocky/hilly areas, but it pulled through with a little pilot finesse. Superb design!
Major_P0tat0 29 Mar, 2017 @ 4:15am
so the wheels make it float.....interesting
darck44 28 Mar, 2017 @ 11:28am
hi chasseur
Scarecrow 28 Mar, 2017 @ 8:18am
This is great! Will it work on the alien planet too? and can you swap out the thrusters for athomspeheric ones on earth?
Quartofel 28 Mar, 2017 @ 5:26am
Will you ever create something bad? It's getting boring, amazing craft after amazing craft afrer amazing craft... Shame on you! :P
Grumphy_Bear 28 Mar, 2017 @ 1:09am
neat hover craft... i wonder if you can make it even bigger, or itll be to bulky to move smoothly?
Baalrog 28 Mar, 2017 @ 12:22am
Slick giant drone!
Aяcнangel_510 27 Mar, 2017 @ 8:22pm
This series is amazing! Keep up the good work!
parkasever  [author] 27 Mar, 2017 @ 7:34am
Microbot series uses regular parts in a new way, so this base floats on large wheels turned sideways.
spacedout 27 Mar, 2017 @ 6:01am
looks like he just used wheels with the friction at 0
tyriael_soban 26 Mar, 2017 @ 8:54pm
How exactly are you making it hover?
howardxu23 26 Mar, 2017 @ 4:51am
Got it, so manual assist with very rough terrain.
parkasever  [author] 26 Mar, 2017 @ 4:41am
It's a production vehicle - a basic, unarmed model. It has multiple weapon hardpoints that you can upgrade if you want firepower. It handles rough terrain well. The only problem I've found is with the autopilot it has trouble to go over steep hills (but no problem with manual piloting).
howardxu23 26 Mar, 2017 @ 2:20am
Very nice:) does it work on rough terrain? Oh, definatly not a floating fortress, I used my corvette against it and it pretty much melted.
etrun3 25 Mar, 2017 @ 8:12am
This is so nice! Good job and nice to see that microbots or now it seems bots are making a comeback.
