For the lite version (which will be re-named Pirate Civilization (BNW)) I will not use the cannot build settlers nor annex cities, if I did, they would have to be a Venice clone and/or become way to OP, so I'm going another route for the "lite" version...............

for the stronger version (Pirate Pro Civ (BNW)) I will be using that, but I will give them a hefty bit of more bonuses to counteract the not being able to expand properly thing. This way it wont just be a Venice clone.

I am using the one-city version right now in my playtest, and Shaka has declared war on me on turn 102, so I'll see how this plays out, then I should be able to upload the BNW versions!

Update: I am currently playtesting the Pirate BNW civ as a civ that cannot build settlers or annex cities (only puppet them) just like Venice in that effect..........I mean it works for Venice, but the Pirates is perfect for a setup like that.............I am just having trouble balancing it out so you get enough gold throughout the game, and can actually keep up wiht the other civs, I've been working on it since Tuesday, and I believe I'm getting close to finding balance for them..

TL/DR - Pirate Civ BNW is coming very soon, hopefully tonight, maybe tomorrow, but definitely by tomorrow!

As a side note my playthrough of the pirate civ lite has now started crashing. At first I just had to go through the mods menu and start a saved game that way but then it started crashing in game and now it crashes on start up :( can play any other civ fine. only other mod active is a colored religion icons mod and 1 or 2 other new civ mods. Any ideas?

Maybe make the UA -1/3 naval matinence, +1 naval movement, and prize ships! then have the 2 UUs be the royale fortune (no iron and is 2-3 more powerful than frigate?) and the swashbucklers (replacing musketmen or riflemen- and give it the conscription bonusmaster mark 55 talked about) Just my thought. I however have no idea how hard it is to do any of this. Just thoughts on a more balanced version (not 3 UUs and a UB :P).

@mastermark555 ooooh thats what that does......I saw it in the code, but had no idea what it was LoL. I'll look into to adding it in....

another idea of powers is conscripscion, which has a 35 percent chance of regaining all health after a kill, and/or 15% chance of gaining the unit.

Awesome!

I researched my own question lol... I came to find that the developers are tards and dont allow mods for multiplayer use. Not even maps. WTF they need to patch this...
Kaoz421 14 Aug, 2012 @ 9:18pm
Can you use mods in multiplayer? because when i load this mod or any other GK civ mod it only allows single player.

No problem guys!, this one was easy to do, now that I had my first civ out of the way, future civs should be pretty easy to do!
