Oh I forgot to say that I was referring to the maritime one. The other one is also kind of strong too though.

I believe that the ability is too op. +3 gold in the capital is already stronger than economic type. All the production in the other 2 levels are also rather strong. It could be a good idea for level 2 to provide 1 food instead of production. Level 3 should likely have another condition than just coast and apply to modern day for consistancy. I hope I gave good suggestions.

Assume it's this mod, just installed the game again and get a weird $CityState$ title thing on the citystate screen and no info displays.

I do believe this mod has bugged out on me. The city state screen is unusable, and so i have to save and reload my game every time i get an envoy.

I still get crash back to main menu.

Most mods I use are civs - Rohan's, JFD's and Gedemo's Civ collections, plus Merrick's Anglo-Saxon, The Mississipians, and the CIVITIS NA and TCS's city state mods.

My other mods are Good Goody Huts, Map Tacks, Mitchs Quick Start, Mutulkay Exclusive Removal, No Obsolite Wonders, Policy Change Reminder, Production Queue, Relgion Expanded, Removeable Districts, Resourceful, Temple of Heaven, Tomatekh's Historical Relgions.

Hope this helps narrow down the bug. I liked the look fo this mod.

I've updated the mod. It should no longer crash to the main menu. UI mods will most likely interfere with this mod and I will release patches for each mod, but that may take a while.

I get the same issue as Taije- I have had to have this disabled since the Fall update, as it crashes the game back to the main menu upon any load or new game

With new update 10/2017 my game wont start with city states enabled, bounces back to main menu.

Loaded up this, South American CSs and Caribbean CSs – but something has gone wrong with the CS spawning. There's literally nowhere to settle, and it seems like I'm surrounded by (almost) exclusively CSs from your mods. Just quit a game where I was hemmed in immediately by La Venta and Yerevan plus Santiago, Montevideo Hopital and Port Royal. All within 20 hexes. Help?

Anyone else not able to send envoys? Clicking the arrow button no longer has any afect, so I can't move on to the next turn with the pop-up to send an envoy. Not sure if the problem is Mod related or not, but I didn't have this problem prior to the Summer Patch.

Bug report: the CS screen has changed its layout in the Summer Patch. This mod (and its dependencies) still "work", but the CS display gets screwed up and is difficult to read/navigate.

So I have pretty much searched everywhere for Maritime City-States but have yet to see it anywhere for download or in steam. Can only find artisan, S. America & Caribbean. Am I just blind or is it gone?

Bug report: The Maritime CS currently cause several glitches when using the Better Trade Screen mod. It appears that the mod doesn't know how to display a Maritime CS. I believe Better Espionage Screen has this issue as well with your mod.

still having the same issue where I cant send envoys and I cant get rid of the button on the bottom right to send envoys, which means I cant end turn.....

I love the comeback of maritime city-states. Thanks for that. I'm also getting the caribbean CS mod. It is much appriciated that you did split the artisan CS and caribbean (maritime) CS as we don't all intend to play the Ananse's mods.

Lisbon is a vanilla CS and I am using RED modpack, resourceful, and a few of the alternate leader mods. Namely Hitler, Stalin, Churchill, DeGaule, and the American Presidents. I disabled all of the city state mods and everything is working now.

@ITcore First I get my reference image (usually jpg or PNG), trace it with bezier curves in inkscape. Resize it to about 215 pixels height or width, a little smaller if it's circular. Export to PNG. Open in paint.net and resize the canvas to 256×256. Delete the surrounding white border. Google paint.net drop shadow from Kris vandeermorton or something. Go to his website and install the plugin, it's safe. (Everything should be 100% white right now) Use effect->object->drop shadow. Y offset to 2 I think, widening radius to 1, color is black, opacity is 50. And voila perfect icons Everytime.

@warmonarchxx Lisbon is a vanilla CS? What other mods are you using?

@kantorr - I was able to find the logs. The Lua didn't have anything too suspicious in it. The Modding log seemed to point the finger at the Carribiean pack, and the Database log seemed to have a problem with the City States base pack.


I can send the full files over via DB; I'll PM you.

@the47thman if you know where your database and Lua logs are could you post any errors in them? I've had one other Mac users say the same although I don't think anything I have anything in there that relies on spring update. Does anyone else have issues with Caribbean?

Unfortunately, the City States mod pack seems to be killing my game. I had previously been running a game with just the South American city states pack, and everything was fine. Added the Base mod and the Carribean city states, and the game wouldn't get to the intro screen; you click Start Game, it thinks for a bit, then spits you back to the main menu. I disabled all city packs, and it started right up again.

Possible points-- does this all require the latest patch? Because as of this writing, they have yet to release it for Mac, and I'm on, you guessed it, a Mac. If that's not it, well, then I don't know what's up.

@warmonarchxx the other icons are all planned types, I intend to release two CS packs a month, and with each of the next CS packs I will include a new CS type. I will probably stop with regular CS types once I have those types done as no more make sense for vanilla stuff. Artisan is a mod based CS type (redistricting and resourceful) and I will probably do a few more mod based types.

I love the idea of these new city-states, creates a better sense of immersion for the new game feel every time you play. I do have to ask what the other three symbols are. The circus tent. airplane, and green corn to be exact, are these different types of city-states you have yet to work on/release? I would like to suggest a few more city-states to add, Luxembourg, Monaco, Liechtenstien, San Marino, and which ever European ones you find enticing.

Very nice, I'm absolutely loving your CS work. Nice to branch off from the typical dynamic of the identical bonus between 3 and 6 envoys as well, makes things more interesting (though the 6 envoy bonus of Maritime sounds stronger than a lot of suzerain bonuses). Keep it up! Also, any plans to add Port of Spain in future updated to Carribean CS?
