damn fine! Damn fine indeed!
DEW-ME 30 Nov, 2017 @ 12:48pm
ahh i did not know that it was based on buffs, i just wanted to be attacked by bigger armies and the ai's attacking lands and not sitting there. i didnt know very hard-hard-easy , all that was just for (buffs) thanks again!
Gyrosmeister  [author] 30 Nov, 2017 @ 12:42pm
@DEW-ME, If you have the battle difficulty on very hard/hard, its to be expected, they only get buffs, nothing else,
About the wifes, well i don't think that such a mechanic exists in the game
DEW-ME 30 Nov, 2017 @ 12:36pm
Can you make a mod for generals to have a wife? and can you fix the AI archers, ai archers are very very very very very over-powered.
Gyrosmeister  [author] 29 Nov, 2017 @ 2:53am
@DEW-ME, Rome is pretty easy on Very Hard, you may need to sacrifice some regions but once you close the Macedonian front you have basically won :)
Regarding cheating, well I guess if you feel that you enjoy the game more this way its up to you then.
DEW-ME 28 Nov, 2017 @ 3:02pm
Gyrosmeister [author] - oh no, im gonna cheat, its how i play singleplayer games, its how i enjoy games. anyway i tryed athens and rome . but anyway good luck on the mod!
Gyrosmeister  [author] 27 Nov, 2017 @ 8:30am
@DEW-ME, please dont cheat :), which faction did you play as?
DEW-ME 26 Nov, 2017 @ 6:45pm
good mod, but damn even with cheats i failed like crazy, like everyone everyone gains up on you
Gyrosmeister  [author] 25 Jul, 2017 @ 2:21pm
@justinsane also 700 Thespians stayed and died with the Spartans at Thermopylae, many people seem to forget them, anyways i appreciate you find the mod nice.
justinsane11 25 Jul, 2017 @ 2:13pm
props on the mod btw anything that is outside of common knowledge history is an awesome setting for a mod, not that these days anybody really knows anything about any part of ancient history, but that's besides the point
justinsane11 25 Jul, 2017 @ 2:11pm
oh, ya i get it, they fell off a cliff and were pretty much nothing by this point, but you weren't the guy that initially said the spartans are overrated and it all stems from 300 propoganda either. my point was just that even though they fell off so quickly the guy should not make the mistake that they were not all that 300 years earlier and it's all just a bunch of Frank Miller nonsense. i would venture to say you know a lot more than me about the subject
Gyrosmeister  [author] 25 Jul, 2017 @ 8:48am
My point was that Sparta had veru little power in that period, they were defeated by the Achaian League, incase someone is wondering why there is no Spartan Faction
justinsane11 25 Jul, 2017 @ 8:45am
plus, plus there was a helot slave or someone, obviously not the hunchbacked mutant from the movie, but someone, you probably know who, who told the persians of an alternate path so that through the mountains so they could outflank the spartans, otherwise they never would've gotten through head on.

either way my basic point was just it's kind of ridiculous to say that the spartans are overrated nowadays based on a movie which is in turn based on historical fact, that's all i'm saying. and if the spartans had any scruples for diplomacy and crap like that there army would have taken over the world, but they were content for the most part to just sit in the pelopennese and enjoy their spartan lifestyle, they weren't exactly expansionist like persia, macedon, athens, rome
justinsane11 25 Jul, 2017 @ 8:42am
how important that buying some time actually was in the true historical event i do not know and i'm sure is up for debate
justinsane11 25 Jul, 2017 @ 8:41am
yeah but at some point the 300 were the only ones to stick around and the hold the spot for awhile, basically allowing themselves to get slaughtered to buy the rest of greece some time to win the subsequent battles, and it's not like the movie doesn't show other greeks with them remember the spartan line "spartans, what is your profession" meaning they were the soldiers and the rest of greece was the philophers and artists
Sikanda 17 Jul, 2017 @ 2:30pm
I like the civ rosters and the reskinned units, those militia hoplites look really cool
Gyrosmeister  [author] 16 Jul, 2017 @ 11:39am
@Sikanda also,
for some reason the Roman AI prefers to recruit mercenaries instead of proper units, i honestly don't know why this is happening, i will try to prevent Rome from recruiting mercenary units in the future in the hope that they will start building proper armies
Gyrosmeister  [author] 16 Jul, 2017 @ 11:01am
@Sikanda, i have tried strenghthening the Romans, I have applied a series of buffs to them... but I think the core problem is that the AI is generally struggling to maintain large nations and so it cant focus on a two front war :/
While playing as them, you can spam lvl 3 principes with upgraded weapons and armour right from the start. You will have to sacrifice a region or 2 but in the end, once you build your armies you can steamroll basically everything thrown at you.
I will try giving Rome the "Expansionist" aggresion personality in a hope that they will focus more on military and will be more decisive in the future

I appreciate you liked it :)
Sikanda 16 Jul, 2017 @ 10:53am
So I liked it a lot, I played kingdom of the Acheans, on max difficulty, the diplomacy settings where non existant, so i declared war miself on rome, the seleucids and th pergamenese, to spice things up a bit and it worked. i would suggest a bit of work on diplomacy. also rome needs to be stenghtened, it was easy killing them, so extra armies landing from sea or similar when you are not playing them to represent a proper invasion would be nice
Gyrosmeister  [author] 15 Jul, 2017 @ 10:36am
@Sikanda, please leave feedback :) after trying it out!
Sikanda 15 Jul, 2017 @ 10:08am
This looks great, i'll try it right now
Gyrosmeister  [author] 10 Jul, 2017 @ 10:55pm
@justinsane11 the 300 did indeed fight at Thermopylae with ~5000 other Greeks, Sparta was beaten by the Achaian League at some point and the city became part of the league
justinsane11 10 Jul, 2017 @ 4:40pm
you do realize 300 is based on a real event right??? what is overdone is the scenery and shit, not the basic story.... and Sparta WAS all that, their decline was just very fast
Gyrosmeister  [author] 12 Jun, 2017 @ 12:33pm
@Flavius Iulianus Augustus, yes this is the UI skin for Macedon. Check the screenshots you can see many different ones
Sir George Pollock 12 Jun, 2017 @ 7:38am
Hey what a nice mod! But is it intentional from your part that some aspects of the campaign screen are purple ? I play as Macedon i get purple unit icons etc
Gyrosmeister  [author] 4 Jun, 2017 @ 11:57am
@Invictus_Solari apparently so....
Invictus_Solari 3 Jun, 2017 @ 9:58pm
"300" has given people deluded ideas about Sparta, I think...
Gyrosmeister  [author] 30 May, 2017 @ 12:23pm
And also. You know that is this hellenistic era. Sparta was in steady decline in that period..
Gyrosmeister  [author] 30 May, 2017 @ 12:10pm
And it was a part of the League. Also a bit info. There was an intrigue with Diaios, who was charged of a bribe by Menalkidas so that Diaios could cover up Menalkidas's attempt to split Sparta from the League
Gyrosmeister  [author] 30 May, 2017 @ 12:07pm
it was defeated by the Achaian League my dear
D.S.S 30 May, 2017 @ 11:40am
oh man do you realise that sparta was never conquered by any grecian state
Gyrosmeister  [author] 19 May, 2017 @ 1:00pm
Scipio Africanvs 10 May, 2017 @ 6:37am
Gyrosmeister  [author] 10 May, 2017 @ 6:29am
-If there are two opposing Major AI factions in a battle, the system will not take effect.

Gyrosmeister  [author] 10 May, 2017 @ 6:27am
Scipio Africanvs 10 May, 2017 @ 6:05am
Gyrosmeister  [author] 4 May, 2017 @ 6:20am

Renan Legio 24 Apr, 2017 @ 11:17am
The mods Cyrus and Hegemony cause problems in your mod?
Gyrosmeister  [author] 12 Apr, 2017 @ 2:30pm
For everyone that has custom battle crashes: Go to Users>AppData(if you cant see that enable hidden files)>Roaming>The Creative Assembly and delete your Rome II Folder(backup save files if you wish)Then try again
dimitrisratm 11 Apr, 2017 @ 4:47pm
Gyrosmeister  [author] 11 Apr, 2017 @ 1:51am
dimitrisratm 10 Apr, 2017 @ 4:07pm
@Gyrosmeister
dimitrisratm 10 Apr, 2017 @ 4:01pm
@Gyrosmeister
