Hi jbzomal75, just did some quick test combat against Draconians and everything was fine. I'm pretty sure if ithis was a problem with my mod many people would have reported this already since it sounds like a substantial bug. (I don't think 7k people never battled Draconians ;-))

Probably either another mod/mods interfering with each other or there is something corrupted in your installed version of the game.

Draconians don't work with your mod. Anytime you go into combat with draconians their flag separates from their physical body and combat freezes.

of course I use other mods, but others do not conflict with each other (racial too).but only yuor mod gives a bunch of errors.why don't other racial do not give out error?

um no, so far just the Archon/Theocrat, that I was testing, but it seems to be at random, I had a small map and I got the regular settler, however this bug seem to be more buggy than getting the regular settler.

Hi Kerovanka, sorry to hear, but I am not aware of any bugs. Could be you are experiencing conflicts with other mods though, since adding 2 races meant changing a lot of packs.

Hi Dragon, thanks for letting me know. That is indeed a very strange bug. Does this happen for you with any race/class ? I'll see if I can reproduce the issue though.

Hi Tazarbill, I'm afraid it is not compatible with chivalrous intentions, no. I am also not planning on making them compatible myself, since it's a lot of work, sorry. I know that High Summoner mentioned in the comments here he worked on something similar for fun with a friend. But it doesn't seem like he decided to make it public (you can try to contact him though).

So I have only this mod activated and for some reason I start with the Undead version of the Archon settler, its strange. However if I start the game on a large map or bigger it's a regular settler, Small and Medium maps make the undead version, strange indeed.

I am always in favor of adding classic aow races like archons,dark elfs undead etc in aow 3 . Concerning archons and tiefind mod is it compatible with Chivalrous intentions? If its not is there any chance u ll make archons and tieflings race mod any compatability patch in the near future?

Hi Pyresryke! Hmm, I'm not sure if it is feasible, but I like the idea! I can do some experiments, the crucial problem are always the unit models.

@Hikari: No, I'm afraid I won't do a gelfling race. Making a race is a tremendous amount of work in general. But also most races that would be interesting to still make require 3D models that are not available unless you have serious rigging skills and can import models from other games.

@armbarchris: I get where you're coming from, but I am personally not that big a fan of the racial reinforcements and chivalrous intentions, as they add too many units for my taste, which always has a risk of units becoming redundant or useless. So I am not planning any extensions for those mods and my races. That said, High Summoner here was saying (on the previous page) that he created a bunch of new Archon & Tiefling units with a friend for similar reasons. Maybe you can get in contact with him and ask him to release them as a mod :)

As for Racial Class Unit Reskin, I already did my best to make Archon & Tiefling class units distinct looking. For anything beyond that I'm afraid you have to get Tibbles out of AoW3 retirement to ask her for some magic.

Finally, Age of Wardrobe I can take a look at. May be straightforward enough to make a compatibility patch for :) (same for Decodence leader customization)

I really like the idea of this mod. I have some mild concerns though. I've been using Racial Reinforcements and Chivalrous Intentions, and the roster for new races is just tiny by comparison. Is there any chance of a compatibility or extension that adds more units for these races? I've also gotten used to Racial Class Unit Reskin and Age of Wardrobe Extended, they are only cosmetic but it would nice to have the options for the Archons and Teiflings as well. Thank you for your work!

Hi Gladen, I upped the min quality setting for the Tiefling icons, can you check if they now show up for you correctly?

@Pathalen: I looked at the Tiefling Theocrat starter settings and started a game with settler mode Theocrat and correctly got a Tiefling settler there - very strange! Can you maybe try again if the issue persists for you? Because it may be some weird mod conflict afterall then. (but I have no clue how a mod conflict could cause this - only very mods have even been made after I added the Tiefling race)

@That Human and 好想养只宠物啊 , I haven't forgotten your suggestions about the cuirass and the necromancer growth/happiness bonuses, but those would have required more time to try out /look into. Hopefully still something for later ;)

@Gladen: I was guessing you would mean this setting, but still strange that the icons show up differently for you than they do for me. I'll look into this and the other reported things next. (I remember there was something weird going on when I set up the unit icons, so have to be thorough.)

@Eomolch. Archons icons are set to 100 for example while some of the Tieflings are set to 5. This difference become that they are displaying as zoomed out in the game ul panel, map editor and so on.

Could be that I have lower graphics settings or higher. This would be quite easy to adjust mipmap setting to 100 for icons as that is what the mod guides setting recommend. Cheers.

Hi Pathalen! Thanks for letting me know about this. I too mostly play settler start, so it's weird I didn't run into it, but maybe it is exclusive to Theocrat. Should be easy enough for me to check, and it's very likely a wrong unit category link (would be impossible to be a mod conflict unless someone explicitly modded Tiefling content). Sorry I couldn't react earlier, I'm just very busy with my normal life currently ;)

Perhaps you should overlook the unit icons on the Tieflings? The whole race is essentially unplayable at the moment. Please check your clb for Tiefling. Should be 100 instead of 5

Heya, Mate, just wanted to leave some feedback on the recent update.

There is one issue I noticed. I have 15 active mods so I am not completely sure if any of them isn't the cause (though in over 1 year of playing the Archon mod nothing like this has happened with your Archon race), but as I most often play as starting settlers in random maps, rather than start as outposts and towns, that's how I proceeded to try out the Tieflings. The first time I started like so, instead of settlers, I had an Exalted (theocrat t3 unit) Archon. The second run around I had an Archon Martyr in place of my settlers. I tried several more times, but each time I start a game, my Tiefling settlers were being replaced with Archon variants of Theocrat units. So I think that might be an issue in the mod itself with how the replacements are the Archon themselves.

Well, that's it. I'll check Tieflings out proper a bit later, and I can't wait to see how even greater you've made yer mod. Thanks! :D

Ahh that makes sense. Now that I think about it. We actually made them to re-balance the symmetry of units due to also using the Chivalrous Intentions mod with your Archon/Tiefling mod. Perhaps that could be a good idea to release it on the workshop soon. I'll just have to look into how it all works with ours being so dependent on a few other mods that already exist. Love your mod and so far I think the Tieflings are a nice addition.

Me and my friend have actually created a ton of extra units for the Archons and Tieflings that we play with. Like 4 class-exclusive units per class, and about 15 general or bonus building specific ones. Perhaps you'd be interested in seeing some of them?

We've never released any as a mod or anything because of the use of your and other mods to make many of the units. That and we're pretty novice at it lol, but it adds a lot of fun to our games.

@fuck: in which sense is this incompatible with the regiments mod? (sorry, I'm not that familiar with that mod)

@skaz88: there is no more single race version of this mod. making Tieflings a separate mod would have been too much extra work, sorry! (so much that I would have skipped making the race)

Thanks so much for the lovely tieflings :)! Rocking a tiefling rogue at turn 72 on a large 8 player map, just got my 1st archon city too and getting to know them! Feels quite balanced, not too op but def not too weak either as I also use other mods like Chivalrous Intentions that add units to enemies. Extra thumbs up for the very nice looking troops and leaders. And I was also happy to see that Decodence leader customization mod also works for adding tieflings head accessories/= extra horns for my cute leader. If anyone ever feels like making a patch to make the Decodence clothes and wings work for these new races I´d be overjoyed ;).

It is possible to maybe use the cuirass from the phalanx (I believe it is the Tigran one that can be attached to models) and then reskin it. Muscle texture might not work but scale could.

Hi tjimagineer! Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm afraid a repeatable jump attack is much too strong on a T1 unit even if I tone down the damage a lot. I would have loved to make it repeatable, but sadly it would just be too exploitable.

But yes, I'm working on a racial heritage extension for the tieflings ;-)

Hi That Human! I can see what you mean, but I'm not sure if I can solve this in a way that has high enough quality. I might try something once I got through all the updates and extensions for Tieflings for my other mods, but I can't promise anything.

Awesome to see this update with an entire new race no less! Are you updating the armored Archon units to have a cuirass? It always bugged me they just had pauldrons hanging onto their shoulders with glue, needed a good visual indicator that they are armored.

As a suggestion for the archer. I would lower the lightning and blight damage by 1 and the physical damage by 1 or 2 but then make it a repeatable skill like a normal bow.
