i made a script long time ago when i first came up with idea before mod
that played sound on "throw" action on unit

How did you get it to play a sound with each throw? now im curious if its possible to tie it in (not sure if you edited the audio in post but id love to know the source for it)

these are inside mod so you can just moves ones you would like
thius will get you the middle east ect civs you want

In a later update, could there be NPC's with the cans and rocks equipped and the code to throw at blufor and only flee when they get shot or get scared ? Thanks in advance

Also they won't throw the cans whatever i do , i followed instructions and scripting to the letter :/

Hi again! I turned civilians to opfor by putting civilians under opfor command (cntrl+right click and drag in editor) then deleted the armed opfor unit and gave the civs cans and put the code in the description so they don't flee, however, I cannot find a way to keep blufor from shooting them, any
tips ? thanks in advance

if civs have no other weapons they will throw these as they are grenades/smoke
i dont know if AI mods effect it shouldnt
all AI will use them like they would normal grenades

I can't seem to get the civilian AI to throw at Blufor automatically. I have placed the CANS civvies as well as the cans crate, but they do nothing. I also added the this allowFleeing 0; this disableAI "PATH"; bits, but that does not change anything. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

@kullervo i could but problem isnt the damage amount its Fire damage in arma its very iffy isnt consitant there are spots were it will kill you instantly and spots that will barley scratch you

Only molotov is needed (since it's a WW2 combat environment). I added a "beforeDestroyScript" for one of the Molotov's flame particle, so that when the fire starts burning, a script will scan for near infantry (damage them and make them scream), flamables (ignite them, making them new sources of fire), vehicles (set their engine to damaged randomly based on their armor). The scripts are scattered in ace_75s_enhance_common.pbo, ace_75s_enhance_armour.pbo, and a modded CAN.pbo (there is only molotov in this file). And scream sounds are in scream.pbo.
As you can see, it'll need some work to get all those functions and let them work in a "standalone" state. Still, I'd like to help. :steamhappy: Steam friend sent.

The molotov works so well in the environment of WW2, since new features like disabling tank engine are implmented. :steamhappy:

hey man awesome mod! gives civs life in "war-torn" maps/scenarios.

as for the "can" not doing any damage when hitting a person. i think its possible for them to work as a "projectile" in which when it hits the person it will "detonate" and kill the person. Breaking Point mod can be an example, they made items like tennis balls,bricks and books as deadly throwing weapons. though it will be awhile before they publicly release the source files..
