@Peter34 It might be if I decide to play, but given the changes in the update, I don't know if these tweaks are still necessary, or if they provide the same effects. If you've been playing you can take the changes I listed above and edit the stelaris text files in the same way if you want, though.

Will this mod be updated for 1.8.*?
Player of Games 12 Apr, 2017 @ 1:48pm
After loading a save and testing I no longer get a crash when attempting to declare war, so it seems that fixed the problem.
Peter34 12 Apr, 2017 @ 1:43pm
Thanks for updating! Just to clarify, I haven't declared any wars. My crashes happens in a way such that I suspect that it is when an AI polity declares war on another AI. It is unlikely that any have declared war on *me*, since I'm on good terms with my neighbours.

But I'll try this newer version, with 1.5.1 non-beta, and report back.

@Hellfire Knight, @Peter34 I think I have now removed the war demands section of the mod. This should hopefully fix your crash issues, please let me know if the issue persists - I don't seem to be getting it for some reason.

Unsubscribing from the mod fixed my problem with crashing when trying to declare war so this mod was definitely causing it somehow.

After about 15 years I started getting random crashes and if I went to the declare war option in the diplomacy screen the game would instantly crash on me. I guess the random crashes were from AI races trying to declare on others. Wasn't sure what was causing it but since other people here are commenting on it I assume this mod was doing it.

Please try removing the war demands part of your mod. I keep getting crashes, and reverying to a save from 4-5 months before the crash just postpones the problem, the crash will still happen 6-18 months later, so it's kinda like playing Edge of Tomorrow, having to re-do the same things again and again.

This postponing the crash thing makes me suspect that it is indeed related to war decs somehow, even though they're not war decs on me, because I've bought Non-Aggression with everyone I've met. So it must be one AI war deccing another.

Governing ethics are militarist, materialist, xenophobe

- I'll try a new game later with this mod only to see if the issue persists
Seven  [author] 10 Apr, 2017 @ 1:25pm
@Hun Zolka, what ethics are you? that may be what's causing the CTD. If the issue persists, I'll just remove the war demands sections of the mod.

Causes CTD with myself randomly
HunZolka 9 Apr, 2017 @ 1:50am
* I disabled all mods except this one, and with the save file (that previously used the listed mods), I still get CTD on declare war for some reason
HunZolka 9 Apr, 2017 @ 12:23am
* some of these don't actually make a difference due to not being updated to 1.5 compatibility, but judging from what they are supposed to do I don't think any one of them should be affecting the declare war option, so I am at a loss as to which may conflict with this mod.
HunZolka 9 Apr, 2017 @ 12:23am

Does this do the hyperlanes only change that the original mod did?
Seven  [author] 8 Apr, 2017 @ 6:41pm
@HunZolka @FailingWasp On testing, I got no CTD when trying to declare war, made it both through the choose demand screen and actually declaring war. Could you give me a more detailed crash report, or a list of common war-reated mods you have?
HunZolka 8 Apr, 2017 @ 3:40am
Unfortunately same as the Gameplay Improvemet mod, declare war button causes CTD. Possile conflict with other mod
FailingWasp 7 Apr, 2017 @ 5:02pm
Does this mod conflict with anything? When I installed this mod Stellaris crashed whenever I clicked the declare war button.

Thx to Seven and Dr.Med.Hätzlon.
Dr.Med.Hätzlon 7 Apr, 2017 @ 2:18am
@Seven Thank you for your work. Was lazy and played other games, so i didn´t update for 1.4. Will eventually update my mod myself or just update lower warscore, after i played one round and see the new tradition and research traits in action.
Seven  [author] 6 Apr, 2017 @ 8:49pm
@Peter34 - Only one per planet, as I only changed things that were explictly stated either in the mod's files or on the mod page. As that change was unintentional (probably, as it occured becuase the mod was based on 1.3 files so the update didn't roll out to the mod), and I wasn't aware of it, it was not changed form the vanilla setting.
Peter34 6 Apr, 2017 @ 7:47pm
1.4 changed Mineral Silos so that you're limited to one per planet, but the dude behind the original version of this mod never implemented that change, so using his mod in 1.4, one could still build several Silos per planet.

What have you chosen to do, in this regard? And what's the reasoning behind your choice?
Peter34 6 Apr, 2017 @ 7:45pm
Thanks for updating the guy's mod to 1.5!
