This mod appears to be causing crashing for my game in v3.2. Depending on mods active, it appears to cause a crash between 5-7 years after game-start, or immediately upon trying to start a new game.

I was just configuring my game via defines and it seems in the past I always missed the ALLOW_EMPIRE_DESIGN_CHEATS option. This is the only source I could find online that actually talk about what this does, so thank you. :)

It works great but there seems to be issues with machine races, i couldn't produce the original machines of the race i made. this might be a bug with stellaris but, idk.

This is something I've not tested for directly, and I don't have time to now so I'll try it tomorrow. I do know that because the mod (well, the define) only affects creation, once you're in game it just sees (for example) "Oh, this species has -25 points and 15 used picks, nothing else can be added to it"

This mod does change the checksum, so it *shouldn't* be possible to use this mod to effectively cheat in MP without others knowing. That said, I don't know if there are other ways to do what you reported.

Whenever I play a Machine Empire with this mod I'm unable to recruit any armies.

Unless I'm missing something, this doesn't seem to work anymore. Cant save a new empire as it says I have too many traits selected.

That's probably an issue with steam or something, because I haven't changed anything in almost 2 months and you're the first person to mention it. (Though thanks for bringing to my attention the fact that I apparently forgot to rename that file to something sensible...)

It's been a while since I looked at the ethics in particular, but if you took more than the allowed number of ethics points I believe it'll soft-cap it in game via events or something.

How this mod exacly work, because if I write "ALLOW_EMPIRE_DESIGN_CHEATS " on (~`) it's says "Unknown Command". I'm doing something wrong? Please help me.

I just tested on the release (2.2.2) branch and it works for me. Remember that it doesn't change anything visually, it just lets you do things that it says you can't.

Nigglius - Most likely that has to do with your characters ethics draws. I currently have Fanatic Pacifist, Fanatic Spiritualist, Fanatic Xenophile and Fanatic Authoritarian. All without this mod and I have no issues with anything in the game.

I don't remember if that used to happen or if that's new. At a guess it's because the game still (rightly) thinks that a government can only have 3 a max of 3 ethics points and there are in-game events to enforce that. Doubt there's anything I can do about that aside from editing and removing those events, which I'm not going to do.

if you pick 3 government ethos and one of them is fanatic, when you start the game the one fanatic ethos becomes a regular after a few days

Example, I created my empire as Fanatic xenophobe, militarist and authoritarian.

I start the game, wait a couple of days and now it's just xenophone, militarist and authoritarian.

Sorry for the delay, I wanted to finish my modded game before I did troubleshooting and couldn't remember what mods I was using.
I've managed to reproduce the issue, and from what I can tell the bug occurs when you select the machine intelligence government and then start the game without going back to the traits screen. It seems to add the machine trait when you go to the traits screen instead of when you become a machine intelligence, so if you don't go back to the traits screen you don't have any habitility preferences or the hab bonus from machine. Easy workaround is to just make sure to visit all the tabs before you leave the race creation screen. There isn't anything I can do to actually fix the problem directly; it happens in vanilla too, except that without thi cheats active it throws an incomplete flag on the traits screen to force you to go back to it.

Ash, It doesn't change the parameters of how many picks etc are available - which is what the number shown is- it just lets you ignore them and continue anyway.
Additionally, I've (theoretically) updated the version number now so the launcher shouldn't yell at you about that again.

it dosnt seem to work the game says its supports 1.5 and when i did test it in game the game said that i cant have any more mabye i could of keept going and it just says you cant do that idk but as far as i can tell this dosnt work as of now

All this does is change one line in the defines, so it should be compatable with/work for any version that contains that line. I can't think of any reason it wouldn't be compatable with anything else, for that matter, but I'm no expert. I'll try to figure out how to update it here so that it stops yelling at everyone about not being for the correct version.

Works, but note that you'll still be in the negative for trait picks so any genetic research that you do that adds more points won't be of much use.
