the laser goes into a relay, which activates another laser, that goes into the same relay.
alter the connection to the laser field, to the relay.
but make sure the reflector cube, can't activate the relay dirrectly.
moving turrets appear on more of my maps. so be prepared.
I did push the (as you say" pure PeTi-map") editor to do unusual things on a lot of my maps.
the moving turrets need speed gel (as with suspending them, in the funel. or they fall over)
the angle the turrets are to the pistons is also critical. but even then, success is not 100%.
but close.
the suspended turret, in the funel, with gel:
will only work, if the funel is dirrected from above, after the map starts.
if you position the funel over the turret & have it activated from the start.
the turret will fall over & deactivate perminantly.
it's like making a cake.
getting all the correct ingredients & preparing it, in the correct order.

I´m glad you enjoyed my GlaDoS-map too, it´s one of my own favorites. I hope I can find the original hammer map to rework some things on it. I´ll consider your suggestion for the improvment.

I thought I would show the mechanism of the alternating funel, for those who might be interested.
their are faster alternating items, with different results, in future maps.
as for playing my maps in order:
you learnt about the effects of a funel, going onto a turret, from above, in the previous map.
handy for the last turret, in this map.
did you notice the last turret moving into position ?

The mechanism of the funnel room with the moving platform / laser is interesting. Took me a little while to find out how I had to use portals there.
I have a GlaDoS-map too, wich I removed from the public workshop due to a problem at the end (some players got stuck there).

(If you lke to play it, you only have to take care of the cube in the second to the last room, after redirecting the laser to the catcher it shouldn´t be moved by the funnel accidentally. )

I have just re-published faithplate conundrum.
if you still have portal 2 open & have it in your list.
it will be the old version.
to get the new version, either:
unsubscribe & re-subscribe to it.
or & most likely to work:
close portal 2, then re-launch it & the new version should appear in your list.
hope this solves the problem.
ps. if anyone can't get your previously working maps to load.
re-publishing it, often solves the problem.
but a good internet connection is esential.
I think your the 2nd person to notice that.
their is not a 7th one.
as for faithplate conundrum.
I will republish it.
sometimes that sorts out user errors.
also downloading at off peak times, can stop files getting corupted.

so remembering it, could help you later.
their are stranger things in some later maps.

I am not sure what you mean by not having a way to bounce to the top ?
if you mean, the bouncy gel dropper stopped working.
the 2 buttons, that turn it off, are:
the cieling button, the funel goes to, just before the big room.
also the sphere button in the goo room.
remove a sphere from either, will reactivate the bouncy gel dropper.
if this is not what you mean, please explain further.
as for what to do at the end.
I put a demonstration of the method, in my previous map.
if you direct a blue funel, down onto a turret, that is standing on speed gel.
(speed gel stops it falling over)
the turret will be in frozen in time, unable to see you.
remove the funel & it will see you.
if you make a map with this machanic.
the funel has to hit the turret, after you enter the map.
or they sometimes die.

yes, the previous map, gives you the intended,
easy answer to dealing with the turret problem :)
due to glados taunting you, the funel was ment to be a little harder.
but if you had a few goes, you would see, it is just a matter of a little though & timing.
I let the player stand & evaluate it 1st.

ingenious mechanism: Thumb
they were being deployed or visa versa, by a laser going into a relay.
after the quickload F7,
I used noclip & saw that the lasers were going into the relays, as they should be.
but the relays that should stop the pistons deploying & should have kept the panels open,
for some unknown reason, did not work after the quickload or death.
even though they worked before ?
the work around for the essential panels, with the essentail faithplate below.
I removed the connection to the relay & connected it to the button in the exit chamber.
maybe portal will fix this bug in future updates ?
I hope this info will help anyone with similar bugs/problems.

the funel is the correct exit sollution, but you can also do this without going through any portals. (your way is easier). mine involves the faithplate, to funel & move along the side walls.
also after updating, this map is broken.
if you die or quickload at the end, in the exit area.
the pistons stay up. even though the mechanism to make them go down, is functioning ?
as for updating the different maps. I still have a way to go & very little time for a while.
but I appreciate your video's. & improving my maps is always welcome.

up to returning to the exit room, all intended sollution :)
their are multiple sollutions to dealing with the turret at the end.
1 & 2, as you did, in 1st & 2nd video.
3, place portal above where he appears, with funel coming out.
when I did this, he was still alive,
but I walked & jumped up & down, in front of it, & no responce ?
4, before putting the cube on the button. use cleansing gel, from other chamber, via funel.
to clean the spead gel.
the turret will then fall, as it comes out.
5, pre- place obsticals to trip the turret, (not always successful)
eg, the cube, dead turrets.

I did finish a couple of your maps.
I find them very challenging & well thought out.
If you like to test one of mine, this latest map has been under construction for the past few days to make the solution solid after it suffered from severe breakability. I need some feedback if it was successful or if further changes need to be made.

glad you liked the skating turrets. I built a later map around 5 skating turrets,
called turret deployment. their survival rate varies each time you play.
but I have improved it as much as I can, with my present knowledge.

I had another go & i had a strange thing happen with being able to shoot a portal, directly on top of the cleansing gel dropper.lols. I loved the finale with the skating turret. I hope this helps :)
as I named it "simple turret problem 5-Glodos is taunting me"
the mechanism that closes the door & moves the pistons allowing you to safely walk to the exit over the goo, is in view to the left of the exit.
she is taunting you.
& the button to dismantle the mechanism is near the entrance to enhance the title.

I was experimenting & came up with this.
I have never seen it on any other map, yet.
but in simple turret problem 9-turret deployment, I have deliberatly left all items / gates & switches on show with sinage, for players to study & use themselves, if they want to.
to many items to publish with antlines.
as things are so interconnected, that altering 1 item, will involve a major update.
it is up to the item limit, so I would have to loose / delete items, to add anything,
which would probably make this map less appealing.
also, when I tried to make simple changes, like moving the laser field, in the 2nd chamber.
it showed an error, that it interfered with an item in the 3rd chamber.
which had a wall, separating them. so this is a bug.
I tried moving the cube dropper, & instead of going up 1, it went up 3 & into the items, in the 3rd chamber. I could not get "undo" to work, so had to exit & disgard.
in short, it works, but atempts at updating are causing bugs.
probably due to being at item limit.

I just had another look at this map.
apart from pedestal buttons, their is only 1 button you need to activate.
& that is in the 1st chamber.
the cube in the 3rd chamber, is for this purpose.
1 of the purposes of the sphere in the 2nd chamber,
is to open the panel, to allow you to go from 1st to 2nd chamber,
& from 2nd chamber, back to 1st, when you have the cube.

why did you take the sphere ?
the cube is what is needed.
I thought of altering the button in the 1st chamber, to only work with a cube.
but I want it to work when someone stands on it, as well.
If I think of an answer, that does not negatively affect the map,
I will update it.
I don't know why the sphere did not save along with the rest of your progress.
some portal 2 bug, I guess.
you get the same thing when you put gel on a light bridge & save.
you quick load & the gel has gone.
