@Michael - alright, it's finally fixed ! The reason was a change in LAO 3.0, the author of the mod had modified even more animation files, so I had to put the vanilla one back in.

Actually I know exactly what the problem is, because I already fixed it. But somehow it came back again.. I'll have to check it out again ;)

I was pretty sure the animation was working alright, or that I fixed that at least.. Thanks for the report, i'll check that out as soon as I can !

Okay, there seems to be a bit of a problem. Technically your mod does work. It sets the staves back to melee. HOWEVER, it doesn't give them their normal swing animations back. They're still "thrusting"...very...very...slowly...like a junky spear with the same thrust animation over and over again. (As opposed to slashing, swiping, and clubbing like they should be.)

So basically, they're behaving the same way they do with LAO, but without the ranged attack. Is there any way to really get staves back to "normal"? The way it is now is a bit broken.

Thank you so much for this. I've really been enjoying RnF's LAO, but the staff thing nearly killed it for me since it breaks so many custom classes and specs that rely on these as a melee weapon. I'm not entirely sure why RnF changed it in the first place, to be honest.

One interesting idea would be to have a merchant item that converts a staff back and forth, and is consumed on use when applied to the weapon. This way players could swapon whenever they like.

Either way, thank you again. You've saved one of my favorite mods, and have thus made another favorite: This one. :-)

In terms of content I don't think it works without LAO 3.0 because of the bindings, so you still have to include LAO 3.0

If RnF doesn't approve I'll just mark it as private and keep it for myself :p
