ok

I agree with Denchik457: Uranium is a very rare resource. I don't remember the last time I was able to find and mine some from a map. Usually, we have to rely on certain traders. Even if they carry it, uranium is rather expensive and they don't have a large stock of it.

So, yes: Please consider reducing the fuel consumption to 50 uranium for 4 seasons. If you think that's OP, then consider how other mods do it.

The RTGs , for example, produce 750w, yet the uranium is a one-time building material cost as it does not need replacing. Fueled Nuclear Power Generators has 4.5kW and 1.5kW with a one-time uranium build cost. It also has a whopping 25kW reactor that actually consumes uranium, but it only consumes 250 units over the course of 15 years...

Is there gona be an update or a new mod? please let me know thank you

uranium is very scarce resource, and it would be nice to reduce the consumption of fuel....To do 50 uranium = 4 seasons
Galzein  [author] 8 Dec, 2017 @ 6:39am
lol you did commented the same for the 3 mods xD

I'm so used to this mod that I actually forgot that Chemfuel generators aren't vanilla! Easily an essential mod. I find myself making Chem gens every playthrough.

k, thanks.
Galzein  [author] 23 Jun, 2017 @ 4:59pm
yhea you need to reseatch to get the generators
Hex: ecute Order 66 22 Jun, 2017 @ 5:18am
Since the default colonists start with fueled generators, solar panels, and wind turbines, shouldn't these more advanced power sources be something that you have to research?
Or do you have to research it and it's just not mentioned here?
(You shouldn't discover Nuclear power when you research Electricity, just saying).
gordon519 15 Jun, 2017 @ 3:47am
can you add rtgs that you reactor waste?
Jeffman12 28 May, 2017 @ 9:59pm
I'm interested in anything that adds nuclear power, but because of the potential it has to be cool, and it can be so without being OP, and instead by having some relatively grounded 'downsides'

Also, A+ kenwulf.
kenwulf 28 May, 2017 @ 9:46am
Also, the radioactive waste produced from the consumed fissionable material can be used in radiothermal generators to create small amounts of energy for extortionately long periods of time.

Hope that helps

Most uranium can be used in breeder reactors, in which fission of your fissionable U-235 can cause the non-fissionable U-238 to be converted to Pu-239 which is fissionable (fissionable in that fission can be induced by neutron collision). Just to put it in perspective U-238 is by far the most common isotope, making up about 99.274% of all uranium on the planet, U-235 is far less common, but still is the second most common isotope by a large margin making up about .720% of all uranium on the planet. As U-235 and Pu-239 are both fissionable they can both be used as nuclear fuel or for use in nuclear weapons directly. Breeder reactors often create more fissionable material than they consume, that being said, all of the fissionable material they create could ssimply be shoved back into the reactor for use as nuclear fuel.

very cool. I cant wait until I build one for my colony
Galzein  [author] 25 May, 2017 @ 2:13pm
i think there are several types of uranium and just like 1% of all uranium its used for energy, however they long like 500 million years, each isotope, thats why the nuclear plant lasted for 2 years, but now it last 3 seasons, for balance
MIKE BURNA 25 May, 2017 @ 12:48am
We all should google how much Uranium do you need to make engery in plants.... right? Uranium is very powerful.
Galzein  [author] 24 May, 2017 @ 8:10pm
ok thanks, ill chech for the fallout event in the reactor overhead on the weekend, thanks for your support
Omnom 24 May, 2017 @ 7:28pm
Also, I'd love to see a huge blast radius and maybe a forced fallout event (this part might be OP) when the reactor overheats, haha.
Omnom 24 May, 2017 @ 7:25pm
Well I used a different chemfuel generator mod for a16 that produced 2100kW (i think?) for about the same time frame, which I thought was balanced enough. Not that big of a deal, but that 900kW difference adds up especially with multiple generators.

As far as the nuclear reactor, my god 2 years? at 10kW? >_< I mean ... I understand it's uranium and all but that still seems like a long time and a lot of power. Just to throw numbers out there I'd probably keep it at 10kW but change the timeframe to 3 seasons.
Galzein  [author] 24 May, 2017 @ 7:19pm
yhea they produce heat, what do you think its to op? the nuclear? tell me what would you like
Omnom 24 May, 2017 @ 7:15pm
Sounds good, thanks. I'll probably just tweak the settings to be a little less OP though.

Thanks for the reply

edit: do the generators produce heat? I'd imagine the reactor would have a meltdown if it gets too hot.
Galzein  [author] 24 May, 2017 @ 7:13pm
and 75 uranium make it run for 2 years and it make 10kW each day
Galzein  [author] 24 May, 2017 @ 7:12pm
well if you do 35 chamfuel from 70 wood, if you use 140 wood and add to the generator the 70 chemfuel run for 5 days at 3k, if you use 140 wood on the normal generator it runs 6 days at 1k that make, so normal make 6kW in 6 days and chem make 15kW in 5 days, ill add more info
Omnom 24 May, 2017 @ 6:58pm
Can you add some more info about the new items in your description? Like what do the items take to build, how do you make chemfuel, how much uranium per day for how much energy? Thanks
Galzein  [author] 23 May, 2017 @ 3:28pm
= red? "A mod focused on futuristic space technology." was the first description of my first mod, then i separeted it in varius mods, because was diferent theme, but didnt changued the description xD is this what you was talking about?
MIKE BURNA 23 May, 2017 @ 10:17am
Space Tec = red :D :D :D Well...
