I hastily tested it for ME so please report to me if you have encountered any issues.
sadly I nvr modded stances before, but I encountered a couple of mods that play with it like underway for empire etc.. so I believe its doable. :)
On the topic of lore: i was wondering if something like a small simple but gameplay changing mod could be done: not sure if its my mods here now (since i got a few) but beastmen dont
seem to have the normal ambush ability as other factions have.
Sure we got the encircle ambush when attacking but where is the good old ambush stance where you enter combat when an opponent walks into your trap?
Didnt Kazrak the One Eye use tactics like that?
Could I perhaps request such a little mod?? (not sure how to do myself :3 )
Or is there some game mechanic that prevents that?
Thanks for the mod pal.
@shadilay not a horde. They act like normal rebels do, raid and recruit till defeated or they raze the settlement.
@Darkness I agree, but there are limits to what modding can achieve, I'll have a go at it this weekend and see if I can find a workaround.
concerning totems I don't think CA intended for rebels to act like factions of the same type. For example choas rebels won't build there altars.. or will they? I don't remember D:
I dunno if I could make the rebels raze settlements as totems, but will have a look into it and see if I can do anything :)
on the other hand from what I've read about the beastmen, they are concentrated in high chaotic areas or hidden in forests from civilization.. so I think them popping instead of the armored norsemen is more lore friendly, at least that's my opinion.
yet again this is the beauty about modding, everyone has his own taste and can tweak his game to his liking :)
In the Empire and Bretonnia, Beastmen Spawn.
And in the North, Chaos Warriors Spawn.
And once we get new races. Skaven can spawn in the Badlands and Chaos Dwarfs in the Mountains.
All we have is a table to choose what spawn from "religious" rebels (chaos-vamps)
another tables to set the units of the rebels (take this one with a grain of salt)
and lastly a table the number of units that spawn initially as rebels
the actual script that uses those data is probably not public afaik
Thumbs up from me!
I myself would prefer the current version of the mod as Chaos are well represented in the campaign unlike beastmen, but would have made another version for you if I could.
I'd love to have both Beastmen and Chaos rebels for variety's sake. So that randomly the rebels would be either BM or Chaos. Can this be implemented?
In Vanilla whenever Anthel Loren regions had high corruption Chaos rebels would spawn. Now with this mod Beastmen rebels will spawn instead.
Wood elf rebels will spawn only if the region had a negative PO with very low corruption, I think It's loreful that way. Besides changing the regions initial rebels is a bit tricky and requires editing startpos afaik :)
