No problem, thanks for the heads up. And whenever you do get around to it, if you do, please throw up a comment here or something to give people a heads up that its back.

kishkuma 3 May, 2019 @ 12:58pm
Also wondering where the WH2 version went. Been using it forever. :(
The Boar King 3 May, 2019 @ 7:23am
What happened to the Warhammer 2 version of this mod?
SaGa 28 Oct, 2017 @ 8:51am
Awesome dude! :D
Nayran  [author] 28 Oct, 2017 @ 5:58am
Mod is up!
I hastily tested it for ME so please report to me if you have encountered any issues.
Nayran  [author] 27 Oct, 2017 @ 11:32pm
I'll give it a go today and see if its easy to be ported :)
SaGa 27 Oct, 2017 @ 5:46pm
Love this mod! It really makes a lot more sense than chaos warrior rebellions... Any plans to port it over to TW2 Mortal Empires?
Archemyre 27 Oct, 2017 @ 1:50pm
Could you port this over to Tw2 mortal empires?
Markliuz Da Jesterly 5 Sep, 2017 @ 5:19am
This works with better rebel armies?
Nayran  [author] 26 Aug, 2017 @ 5:39am
@Jero glad u liked it ^^
sadly I nvr modded stances before, but I encountered a couple of mods that play with it like underway for empire etc.. so I believe its doable. :)
Jero 25 Aug, 2017 @ 1:39pm
Hello there. I like this mod very much! Far more lore like!
On the topic of lore: i was wondering if something like a small simple but gameplay changing mod could be done: not sure if its my mods here now (since i got a few) but beastmen dont
seem to have the normal ambush ability as other factions have.
Sure we got the encircle ambush when attacking but where is the good old ambush stance where you enter combat when an opponent walks into your trap?
Didnt Kazrak the One Eye use tactics like that?
Could I perhaps request such a little mod?? (not sure how to do myself :3 )
Or is there some game mechanic that prevents that?
Nayran  [author] 14 Aug, 2017 @ 6:58am
I'll update this mod as soon as I can. I'll try dedicate some time this weekend. I am really sorry guys but currently busy with other stuff in life. thank you for understanding.
Kaelis 14 Aug, 2017 @ 12:49am
Thanks a lot for this mod, better that way and we can fight Beastmen more often that way too !
Nayran  [author] 29 Jun, 2017 @ 1:19am
@Hell_Nico @Black Stabbath glad you like it :)
Black Stabbath 28 Jun, 2017 @ 6:40pm
Great thinking! love it, makes much more sence. Subbed for life. Thank you.
[HN] 10 Jun, 2017 @ 3:39pm
Well, that's a good change tbh !

Thanks for the mod pal.
Nayran  [author] 29 May, 2017 @ 12:53am
@THICC+ didn't test it with steel faith, I'll check with them and get back to you.

@shadilay not a horde. They act like normal rebels do, raid and recruit till defeated or they raze the settlement.
Method Man 28 May, 2017 @ 9:46am
is this compatable with steel faith?
Nayran  [author] 28 May, 2017 @ 7:03am
@Russet_Firefly my pleasure ^^

@Darkness I agree, but there are limits to what modding can achieve, I'll have a go at it this weekend and see if I can find a workaround.
Zoey 28 May, 2017 @ 6:58am
they don't but it doesn't make sense. they really should
Cello_Goblin 28 May, 2017 @ 6:57am
I like your reasoning! Thanks for making it into a mod :)
Nayran  [author] 28 May, 2017 @ 6:35am
@Darkness glad you liked it :)
concerning totems I don't think CA intended for rebels to act like factions of the same type. For example choas rebels won't build there altars.. or will they? I don't remember D:
I dunno if I could make the rebels raze settlements as totems, but will have a look into it and see if I can do anything :)
Zoey 27 May, 2017 @ 7:38am
great mod. however, not sure if this is intentional or not, but the rebels don't build the beastmen totems
Nayran  [author] 26 May, 2017 @ 6:20am
@nutflakes glad you liked it :)
Zesty_Chalk 26 May, 2017 @ 6:19am
Nyraan, yes i think your right, i agree that chaos warriors are extreme but i dont really think there is any substitute, beastmen work pretty well but i feal they remove the aspect of corruption within society. I do believe though that beastmen were definetly under played in this game and would have liked to see more of them which is why i like this
Nayran  [author] 26 May, 2017 @ 6:15am
@Überguy nope, don't think its me.
< blank > 26 May, 2017 @ 6:10am
CRASHES MAH GAME, BRUH! xO
Nayran  [author] 26 May, 2017 @ 6:02am
@nutflakes I am no lore expert myself, but I believe the enemy withing would have been better represented if it was chaos cultists or something, not armored norsmen and chaos trolls.. they can't be that good at hiding ^^

on the other hand from what I've read about the beastmen, they are concentrated in high chaotic areas or hidden in forests from civilization.. so I think them popping instead of the armored norsemen is more lore friendly, at least that's my opinion.

yet again this is the beauty about modding, everyone has his own taste and can tweak his game to his liking :)
Zesty_Chalk 26 May, 2017 @ 5:54am
Within some contexts such as Anthel Loren this is more lore friendly but i believe that for the majority of provences the chaos warriors work fine, after all in the rule book the chaos chapeter speak s of "The enemy within" amd how "Men live in perpetual terror of the enemy within, hidden folowers of chaos who they fear will mass together and destroy them"
Nayran  [author] 26 May, 2017 @ 5:09am
@Unnamed_Shadow sadly I am very limited to what I can do with the rebels. With the tables I have now I can only choose 1 type of rebels to spawn in high chaos corruption areas.
Unnamed_Shadow 26 May, 2017 @ 3:50am
Would be interesting if you could make it a more region specific type of spawning.

In the Empire and Bretonnia, Beastmen Spawn.

And in the North, Chaos Warriors Spawn.

And once we get new races. Skaven can spawn in the Badlands and Chaos Dwarfs in the Mountains.
Nayran  [author] 24 May, 2017 @ 12:53pm
@Bean anytime :)
Bean 24 May, 2017 @ 12:52pm
Yeah that was my finding as well, I'll assume they haven't made it available then. Thanks for the help
Nayran  [author] 24 May, 2017 @ 12:51pm
@Bean I once searched every script file in the data.pack for the word rebel and found nothing at all :D I dunno really if CA has made the part of the code open to us for modders.
All we have is a table to choose what spawn from "religious" rebels (chaos-vamps)
another tables to set the units of the rebels (take this one with a grain of salt)
and lastly a table the number of units that spawn initially as rebels
the actual script that uses those data is probably not public afaik
Bean 24 May, 2017 @ 12:41pm
Have you looked through the script files at all? If so, have you found one for the spawning of rebellion armies? I have found the horde spawning script but cant find one for rebellions.
Decomposed 24 May, 2017 @ 11:01am
No, it's ok. Thanks for looking it up. Yes, Beastmen are a bit "pushed aside" in the campaign.

Thumbs up from me!
Nayran  [author] 24 May, 2017 @ 10:26am
@Decomposed sadly from what I understand the table I altered acts like a dictionary with key and values where the value may be either beastmen or chaos.
I myself would prefer the current version of the mod as Chaos are well represented in the campaign unlike beastmen, but would have made another version for you if I could.
Decomposed 24 May, 2017 @ 5:16am
Good idea for a mod!

I'd love to have both Beastmen and Chaos rebels for variety's sake. So that randomly the rebels would be either BM or Chaos. Can this be implemented?
Hawk 24 May, 2017 @ 5:14am
Good points!
Nayran  [author] 24 May, 2017 @ 4:49am
@LuckySpade glad you like it :)
In Vanilla whenever Anthel Loren regions had high corruption Chaos rebels would spawn. Now with this mod Beastmen rebels will spawn instead.
Wood elf rebels will spawn only if the region had a negative PO with very low corruption, I think It's loreful that way. Besides changing the regions initial rebels is a bit tricky and requires editing startpos afaik :)
Hawk 24 May, 2017 @ 4:38am
Nice mod idea. Have you thought about maybe replacing the wood elf rebels with beastmen? Would kind of make more sense, like the greenskins for Bretonnia.
Nayran  [author] 24 May, 2017 @ 2:02am
@Erlanth32 my pleasure :)
Goeshia 23 May, 2017 @ 9:58pm
Thank you so much, man
Nayran  [author] 23 May, 2017 @ 11:59am
@Venris Glad you liked it ^^
Venris 23 May, 2017 @ 11:08am
Very nice mod. Great idea.
Nayran  [author] 23 May, 2017 @ 8:29am
@Cataph Thank you ^^
Cataph 23 May, 2017 @ 8:24am
Actually thought about that oddity recently. Good idea.
