Slow have longer battle, but not really big difference now.

Thanks Nomad ! No it's only the melee hit chance, but i think for my Warhammer 2 battle mod, i will increase the fire delay (like +25% fire delay and -25% melee hit chance) , for better balancing betwen melee and distance.

Hi ! First of all thanks for the mod looks really great ! But I have one question though, you said "Battle melee hit chance - 50%" but what about long range hit chance ? I mean it should be "All atttacks hit chance -50%" if you want to keep a balancing gameplay right ?

Finally, if i buy Warhammer 2, maybe i will make the SMAB again for it. Walking regiments and slow battles are so much fun and tactic.

Yes the SMAB was to huge for uppdating, and finally slow movement make battle too long. My campaigns with the SMAB took too much time.

It open the .pack on Warhammer/data folder, but you will need to learn how that work. How my mod is build (witch tables it use), and compare it to the vanilla tables.

I am sorry, you need to use modding skill (with PackFileManager) to see what is the problem for you. I dont have any crashes and the files in this mod are the same as my data.pack.

Why didnt you make the graphical effects in a seperate mod. You literally are causing incompatabilities in other mods. ill have to tell the guys to stay away from this for our tournament.

Trapogan, it's really weird, my variant_tables in this mod is the same than the original in "data" pack. I really dont see why you crash.

Trapogan : thanks for the informations, the variant_tables is for model's size (essential for this mod), data_lu is for DLC 4, the regiment of renow for Empire and Vampire, Volkmar, etc. Do you have all those units ?

Pailerr : I dont think we can mod this. And for now i am really busy with a huge graphical mod for Warhammer TW, taking a lot of time.

Are you able make the soldiers to fight more chaotic and without restraint, not caring much about holding the line and formations? Likes ur mod!

Specifically, the problem is in data_lu. I've tried deleting every entry one at a time within variants_tables > data_lu but it only works when I delete the whole data_lu table. This leads me to believe there are multiple entries within data_lu causing errors but I don't know which ones.

After some trial and error with PFM I was able to determine that the problem lies in the variants_tables. Not sure exactly which entry is causing the crash but deleting the variants_tables fixed it so it's in there somewhere. :)

Finally, i removed the 150% unit size : a lot of battles are with 2 vs 2 armies, and with 150% size the bad fps was not really fun.

And yes you need now a real forest to hide an armie (and my advice for forest's battle is to use the option to hide the tree foliage).

Great mod! until this point battles were bland and always were the same despite countless mods I tried and units were either too spaced out or uncomfortably close. Now there is less robot like fighting and more natural fighting with units like the orcs fighting in wild packs rather than clumped up regiments. I should warn downloaders first though, due to the new spacing and size of units you may find it hard to hide armies in forests, which can be the difference beetween victory or loss when facing large armies.

This mod dont change dust/smoke, i use another mod to do it. The lines are like vanilla setting. But i could sugest you to just disable all your mod, and try this one in a custom battle, to see if it works, and if you like it. :)

If I can get it to work I will be able to free up some mod slots, and I need them after the map pack... Tell me though, can I draw units out into thin lines like in Brutal Battles, is there dust thrown up, does smoke blow thicker, are firing arcs wider?

I have just tried the mod with Grand Campaign Custom Maps (and all the sub-mod maps requested), and all works perfectly (i will probably keep it, the maps look awesome).
And yes i have all the DLC. You must have an other mod confict ?

Rather large compatibility issues! Just tried it with the 'Grand Campaign Custom Maps' mod and it conflicts to the point of no load at all!!
