I really appreciate the support and kudos from everyone since I submitted this months ago. The commentary, the upvotes, and the suggestions from all of you have been great!
(Шикарный кораблик для старта - и можно в итоге его укрепить и модифицировать)
I almost didn't include it, but the price was barely more expensive than a walkway floor board
- Fixed up some tiles missing textures
- Added red door light with a cool little circuit that'll turn on the red light when you're near the door and not on the ship.
- Widened the near door detection range by 1 block each side (left and right of ramp)
- Rearranged the armor locker, repair station, core, fuel tank, and OnShip sensor. The armor locker model was changed in 6.5 and now takes up the whole ground, preventing access to the cargo box below. This prompted me to rearrange a bit, and now you can access the fuel tank directly. So yes, you can cook yourself now, but the fuel tank radiation was lowered so much that it's pretty negligible when in no suit, and completely neglibible if wearing anything.
Thanks so much for your work on designing this :)
- Added sloped spotlight block to the interior. While the spotlight cube is slightly more aesthetically pleasing, most players will probably find the slope version more useful, especially for finding targets on the ground in the dark. Its placement inside also protects its rather weak 25hp body from damage.
- The range on the ramp/door proximity sensor has been extended downward (in the z direction) by one block. I've found that being parked on a gradual hill can often cause the player not to be so easily detected.
- Updated cover art (stormy!)
Whats awesome is that the resources haven't changed. Just the spotlight was added, and it's resources are so minimal, they must have been rounded within 1 whole ingot from whatever was left over from glass, steel plate, and metal components.
Maybe they'll bump the HP to somewhere between a steel block and a glass window for base and CV placements one day.
I actually filled out a bug report during the experimental phase about the sensors turning off when seated but Hummel said he believed this was by design. In this case at least I can use it to my advantage.
The blue blocks were already there, they only changed shape to provide a location for the spotlights.
It does break the aesthetic a little bit but this is supposed to be a practical ship anyway :)
And you're right regarding the sensor not detecting you when seated, but I'm kind of hoping they fix that.
It could go right in the front below the window, but then we're trading a 500hp block for a 25hp block. This block is right in front of the cockpit.
I'll think about this. Maybe I can find somewhere else to place it. Otherwise I may just leave it as an option to the user.
When you fly the ship, the motion sensors stop detecting you. You'll notice this when you jump in the cockpit, as the lights will turn off. These lights are linked to the same sensor that turns off the gravity gen and the repair station.
I recommend adding another motion sensor to only enable the repair station when you're directly in front of it. No point having it on while flying the ship.
Maybe also add the new sloped spotlights so you can see where you're flying when it is dark.
Cyrus, Running, thanks!!!
Thanks for the kudos, I hope you enjoy it!
Im in real need of a minimalistic living home.
Loving it!
Hah.
How much does it cost? How many iron? Sathium?
