Description
Originally designed from the ground up for Alpha 6.0, the Acari has since been gone through several iterations, including the latest in 7.0. The Acari is the lightest CV you'll find offering Alpha 6 and 7 amenities such as oxygenated rooms, a radiation shower, repair station, armor locker, automated features, and now some grow plots!

Given the change in warp drive size for 7.0, I'm re-releasing this new version which accomodates a couple garden plots and has had a heavy rework in amentity placement; most every device is hand-accessible now (no going through the P menu).

With alpha 6 and 7 in mind, it is nearly impossible to cook or zap yourself while walking around the interior of the ship. The layout is made to be simple, and a heavy emphasis on being functional, benefiting both new and veteran players alike.

A ramp and door that's proximity activated makes entering and exiting the ship easy and safe. Proximity sensors have also been added to turn off the gravity generator and repair station when no one is on board, as these 2 items together consume more energy than a thruster going full blast!

The top deck, with it's access hatch, is made of full sized cube blocks, making it compatible for mounting guns or docking your SVs and HVs.

It offers the best amenties you can get at level 10; the soonest you can unlock a flyable CV. You'll be hard pressed to find a CV that takes less resources and is as equally feature rich.

You can find the old version here:

If you like it enough to subscribe, I'd be super grateful for a click on the thumbs up too! Thanks!

Takes less resources in most categories, and has a full med bay!

New light CV, inspired as a slightly larger version of this one:

@Tech2014 that's a game feature, not the ship's fault.

The rooms are air-tight and there's no one or nothing on board to consume the O2 so why does the ship remove the O2 from all the rooms when power is off? That would be an extremely inefficient way to conserve energy or O2; it does not make any since.

O2 thing is because when the ship is off, there is no power to replenish the supply of O2, and each room has a set ammount of O2 required to fill, so it costs a lot of O2 to re-fill those rooms after the ship losing power which removes the O2 from those rooms.

That's pretty clever

To bring along a mining hv, just put a ramp on back, the one that goes down 3 cv blocks height. Attach it at engine level. Makes it a breeze to dock an HV on the roof. The design is inexpensive and works great to do your early CV warping to get to planets with Erestrum and Zacosium.

Yea, The O2 thing I don't understand either. I have noticed that the majority of the depleation comes from turning the O2 Ventilator off and on again, while power is still on, consumes ~ a third of the current O2 level. Why I dont know. :(

I have made some signals/triggers (control panel) to get the power levels down to 1% while i'm not on board and this helps alot.

All-in-All it's a great ship thanks for posting her BP. :)

The O2 thing still confuses me a little. Generally I keep the ship on all the time, so long as its landed. It uses very little power if you're not on board (sensors turn some things off). It's small enough that O2 doesn't burn off very quickly.

She's definitely a starter vessel, but the small size makes it cheap to upgrade with better materials. I upgrade it every time I get my hands on some sathium, starting with the windows and front first. There's even enough room to throw in larger thrusters, though I rarely do this as I like the low power consumption.

Maybe one day I'll do a premium/end game version.

This is a great CV starter craft it's slow, cheap and easy to learn. I highly recommend upgrading the hull to Combat Steel as soon as possible. I got cut down like butter when I accidently came in contact with an alien transport on Skillon.
