Also, I'm unsure if this is a bug or not, but we've implemented binoculars that allow us to check the stats of wild Dinos. We noticed two Textra's found within an hour of each other were quite bloody with no signs of any battles having gone on around them (No gigas/rex's, etc.) with clear areas.

We found that each Textra we've found since then has spawned with much less HP than its maximum, and this MAY be a bug.

Felt that you may want to know of this.

There's a few suggestions I have for this mod.

One being that all the Textra dinos potentially are somewhat larger than their normal counterparts, as well as taking no knockback if possible. They seem to be rather easy as they are smaller dinos, and ones which inflict consistent knockbacks can just stunlock them, making for extremely easy kills.

Config options for making them stronger/making them all spawn at a specific level (150 or whatever). Found a Terror Bird which only had 32,000 Health. Also a config file to set base damage as well.

One last thing is potentially a config option which allows you to choose which map you're on, so that it could unlock only the Tekgrams that your map doesn't have. For instance:
[Textra]
Map=Ragnarok

Would make it so it can only unlock a certain path of Tekgrams.


Regardless of all of these suggestions however, the mod is lovely.

How would i go about increasing the spawn rate for these? I'm running a small private server, and we're opting for these instead of boss fights, but there aren't enough spawning to go around.
If i can increase the spawns using DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers that would be awesone, if not, can we get an option to that effect, please?

@Cronner that is a good idea. The way I set this up was that similar engrams unlock together (so for example door + doorway). Might be something more like EngramSetsPerKill=0 instead. Not going to release an update for this right away but I do like the idea.

Another option would be great like:
EngramsPerKill=0
So people can disable that and add more engrams

Didn't realize this was getting this much attention. There are 4 spawners mapped by default. terrorbirds in the redwoods, sarcos in the swamp, sabers in jungles, and wolves in snow. On ragnarok the harder snow area (in the south) has different spawners than theisland so we updated our config file to add textras to that as well. The spawn rates are 0.5% spawn chance for anyone interested. As far as causing crashes, I am not sure what to say about that. This mod isnt doing anything remarkable.

Easy way to test whether they're spawning on your server is to spawn an s+ tek transmitter, hold E and scan for dinos. Around the bottom is the "T" section and on ragnarok I've seen sarcos, terror birds, and sabers spawn.

Can confirm it works on ragnarok, So far i've only seen Sabers (in the jungle) and Sarco's (in the swamp), But that could easily just be luck.
If anyone has any confirmed spawning areas for them on ragnarok, I would happy to know. I've scanned the whole map and only found two types. (about 4 sabers and 3 sarco's)

Amazing mod for small groups who are unable to defeat the bosses, just be ready to either grind them or install an element gathering alternative mod, as the textras only give you 10 element a piece.

well it's working fine now apparently. Another player happened to have found a Tek Terrorbird and got, tek replicator and foundation and later got a tek generator. so I guess there is no issues with it.

confirmed this mod will cause crashes on lower end computers and Iower type Internet. I was still in the server with no issues but it caused a buddy of mine to crash twice on join attempts. Removed it and he is in my server with no issues. I'm still looking forward to the development of this tho. with the new update that happened a lot of players are gonna be begging for this to be a thing!

stackable? does it need to be higher on the modlist? I ended up putting it around 4th somewhere on the modlist and he was crashing but I was not.
