The door to the incinerator is broken. It remains open constantly, but closes when you get close. Just making it a normal door with an open/close button would fix the issue.

I was enjoying this level until the bin machine broke. The other comments are saying it breaks "if you use the teleporters first"- is that referring to the little Core Sample teleporter? Does that mean I need to use the bin dispenser first thing before using the teleporter in order for it to not break? Because I believe I actually did that- while I spotted the teleporter on the upper ring, I didn't realize it linked directly into the incinerator right away and so ignored it for a while. I dispensed several bins before first using the teleporter. The bin machine still broke down after like 8 bins.

A mostly good level but I couldn't figure out how to access the dark area - I had to clip through just to find it, and only knew it exists because of the one screen shot in the slideshow. Also does the orange box do anything besides instantly kill you and barf smoke? Oh and besides the bin bug, there's a little floating rectangle at the T-level between the entrance, storage room drop, and main corridor.

Otherwise the map is good though. But I find it too boring to have to burn every chunk rather than gather them inside a large bin.

What Alaex Chosen said. The large bin dispenser stops working, and then we are limited to the tiny red bins, which made the map too boring to finish.

do note the what a load breaks and will not spawn bins if you first use the teleporters. so be careful

There's two alien body parts outside the map on the other side of the wall riddled with bullet holes. It's across from the top of the elevator. Also i'm wondering what is supposed to go in the green barrel area?

I noticed the issue with the bin dropper too, did some testing and it turns out that since it's using the bin that's next to the vendor as a template, if you destroy that bin it can't spawn anything anymore.

This was a cool map. I liked the layout and the story was interesting. At little disappointed in the area through the portal though. But it had a good amount of lovely mess to clean, which is a plus. I didn't have any issues with the big quantum bins, but I also didn't end up using that many. Good work! Thank you!.

Hi can you teach me about the bin dropper machine? I loved your idea to drop those red bins and teleport em straight to the oven, but for some reason i cant drop any bins anymore. I have dropped like 10. i guess? I press the bin dropper button and nothing happens...

We got a crash in multiplayer with quantum bins. Calling the big ones from the bin dispenser only causes only one to appear for the clients but all those who are called are physically there although invisible. Then it can mess up with the small ones called from the shop machine. When I called for a small one, it crashed the host. Therefore, it's not suited for multiplayer unless you avoid using them.

Cydhra hates usb sticks but its so much easier to add them if you copy n pastre em from another level
tick a few boxes that best matches the reports checkboxes in mymapinfo give usb stick an employee name if ya don't want random names=its really easy:albedothumbsup:

i got a pretty high score after punchout after stacking everything exept the crates my score was
above 100%
i scanned the usb sticks into punchout machine and skipped the paperwork=i am proud of performance button to clockout
if you do the death reports you will get an even higher score if you guess the causes of death correctly
that union button can give a negative score if you guess it wrong
i want to do more for the company n fill out the paperwork is better than the union button
i am proud of performance if you hate doing paperwork n want to skip the paperwork

all office notes work fine it told me i was an award winning dumba$$ :steammocking:

stacking crates is a decoy you don't have to stack any crates in this map just put those upright anywhere
for those with ocd there is a huge crates stacking area to sooth your ocd
stack the other things like nitrogen barrels etc those are not a decoy

if an update fails to upload
select vcd in steam library go to the updates tab
disable steam cloud sync permanently
open the games autosaves folder and delete all of the autosaves
open the backup folder in that folder and delete all of the backup autosaves
submit update now it wont fail to upload

usually what causes this is if you make a new map and its not on workshop yet the game will autosave your map
and you play it in the main game steam cloud will error rejecting the upload when your ready to put it on workshop
vcd works heaps better without steam cloud and in the game options set autosave to 0 disabled then the cloud wont drive you crazy

i think thats everything have fun

@ everyone this map is now fully playable don't worry about that stuck arm op wiill fix it just use a teleporter on it for now=employee of the month awaits you!

if you subbed to your own map=esp for testing the download
unsub start the game wait for workshop to do its thing
exit the game and start it again then exit the game=game deleted your map files from game directory
copy n paste the files back into the game directory from your desktop copy
self subbing causes a loop where you be fixing the same file over n over again
so don't sub to your own map unless you testing its download

it would be really cool if you do make a new map
if you make a new map that map will be in a different upload folder in chdra stuff folder with the same directory setup this map has
i usually copy a folder from a previous map erase and replace its files and put it back in my upload folder
saves time setting up each folder in the upload folder and it wont dump your new level into this level

disable editor autosave untick the checkbox for that box its annoying=goodbye 2gb autosave folder along with goodbye huge jolt when moving stuff
near the pie play button is a sound icon button press that to enable realtime sound
now you can hear the sound any time you press pie and it wont go pop anymore and disable all the sound on your pc
switch renderer to dx11 in file option where save as is if loading a bsp level flickers heaps with star shaped cubes
i have amd and this happens to me
nvidia im not sure if its the same or if a windows 10 update caused it

anyway some options that makes the editor more stable vs windows 10

if swam fails to build lighting
on the swarm window seklect its settings
right at the very top is swarm cache directory
change the drive letter to the drive letter vcd is installed on
rebuild the lighting if it fails do it again and it wont fail:vcdblood:

devs set the swarm cache to drive D vcd might be on your C drive
VCd is on my D drive

if you do fall through the floor on the upper dome floor in the editor after
you moved something in editor=usually a trigger or volume or a light will cause this
go to build and build all will fix it

everything appears to be working properly
found 1 bug but an easy one to fix
look at the right bottom corner of the incinerator
there is an arm that gets stuck in the corner of the incinerator
move or delete the arm
go for a walk on the upper dome floor to make sure editor not make you fall through the floor
save your map copy the udk file from the game directory
to your desktop copy to replace the desktop udk file
start rustugc.exe select your map n press submit update
you have the
controls to the ships helm now she's all yours:vcdsign:

No I already own the DLC. I just did not load the DLC assets into the editor, which broke the map. Just don't use portal volumes, normal triggers are sufficient.

Okay, and why did you change the console to activate phase two of the generator, its way less obvious you can touch the console now. I liked it more before.
Also for teleporting back you need to touch VCPortalVolume_1 but that does not exist in the world.
And is it intentional that the Play Sound Kismet Node for the portal has no sound assigned? Or did you use assets from the DLCs there?

the core sample teleporters you find around the place are modded teleporters=lots of fun and very useful for cleaning=goodbye walking simulator:albedothumbsup:

Ah yes, I forgot you'd need quantum bins. Did you add the core sample teleporters in your version as well? I must check whether I added quantum bins to my version.

Ok now I know how to add USB sticks to the map, but I still don't know how to use them in the actual game :D

core sample teleporters just copy a working set of those and the red vender from core sample n paste in your map
instant setup
quantum bins bulk teleport everything inside them vs core sample teleporters

usb sticks are easy
actor classes list in content browser
type emp in search box
drag employee chip content into map raise off floor abit so it not get stuck in floor
open its properties
leave name blank for random names
tick boxes that best describe death and that best match report boxes in mymapinfo
copy n paste usb stick to add another one tick its boxes for next body n give it a name if want to

Bullet hole was one of the first fixes I did for the map, so maybe its not there anymore. Some of the bugs you mentioned I also fixed before, but who cares, you seem to have gotten them all :D

I know of the elevator control panel bug, but never found out what caused it. Z-fighting and geometry, I feel like, I fixed at some point, but if I did, I lost the files. So thanks I guess :D

Regarding USB sticks: To this date, I don't know how they work in-game, so I was unable to add them to the map, as I am completely dumbfounded by them. If you want to add some, go ahead, but I never understood them.

The welder is near the entrance to the dome, but I guess having two welders can't hurt.

Since you are using an old version of the mod files apparently, go check the bullet holes on second floor opposite of the elevator door, in the first version, one of them wasn't removable (dunno why).

Also check, whether there is a bucket dispenser in the "parallel dimension", I forgot whether it was there in the first versions.

I used booleans too, so you do not get teleported back instantly. I used a hacky way to chose the destination, however, because I don't know how to do this properly - basically I just teleport you to the sound sources of the portal (I tried using path nodes, but that created some problems). Maybe your version treats that better. Instead of dynamic physics volumes, I used a normal trigger, that was much easier to work with. And I also changed the teleport node to the one from the dev, but I don't know if that actually changes something, because you still cannot use containers with it.

However if you fixed the portal script (honestly I have no idea how to do this, because I never edited scripts in UE3. Basically taught myself the engine just using this map) your version might be better suited for an update.

well thanks, but I also got it working, and I added those teleporters from the Core Sample map, so debris can be teleported as well. I may upload my version tomorrow, but I can give yours a look, too.

ok portal volumes i have working
tried my best to preserve the original function on the 1st portal when you turn it on
that bool stops player from teleporting had to add a 2nd portal volume to teleport the player
this volume wont teleport debris the other 2 volumes teleport debris
portal 2 in your dimension can teleport both players anf objects instantly
portal 1 has the original delay on it and debris shows the old particle events from the dinosoar head
so your portal system now has 3 portal volumes to fix teleport bug
i might as well hunt down n fix more stuff like those crates you cant pickup unless those are supposed to be like that=i will check that
im trying to keep it as close to the original version as possible

ok i fixed the portal script just have to add portal sounds to it and make it play particle events as that isnt working yet
its using the old dinosar heads and the old portal volumes
it teleports debris objects and the janitor flawlessly

Ok so sorry for the confusion, I just downloaded the map and tested it. I fixed the unfixable bullet hole on the second story, I fixed the immovable meshes and I might have fixed the missing bucket dispenser in the other dimension. However the portal's fucked. Cannot use it anymore, if you activate it, nothing happens when you go inside it. Now in the editor, I can see, that it is because the portal volume is missing. Dunno where it went. So in order to fix the map, I have to reinsert it, and hope that the editor doesn't crash.

However, afaik the dev added some teleportation mechanic in an update, after I released the map, and that teleporter works much better for items. So I may have to find out how that teleporter works and use it instead. Gonne look into it.
