@Samu - the mod has nothing to do with the dino coloring any more than a regular mindwipe did.

What should i do when i deinstalled this mod and my mutatet dino colours are gone? i mean not complet they have change to grey and white?

I do agree, this mod is still usefull as there is a bug in current WC implementation of bAllowUnlimitedRespecs

thanks for the mod and you are wrong about it not being necessary. there is a bug (might be single player only) where we can stop gaining xp. only way to fix it is to adjust the max xp to something ridiculous, mindwipe and then set the max xp back to 0. since we can't level up without gaining xp and can't mindwipe more than once per level, i'd be stuck at my level despite ascending without this mod. keep up the good work!

You Sir really saved my a** today!!!!!
We've been experimenting with the tonic on our server today (being lvl 100, max) and I just randomly klicked up only to find out that i cannot use it again even though the command line was on true.

After not getting max lvl 101 to work, trying on SinglePlayer if killing a Boss would bring a change and trying other stuff for 3hrs my only option was to give all my stuff to the tribe, make a new char and regain tribe control via console which would have ruined 80-100% imprinting bonus on 13 (!!!) Wyverns......

still useful in my server. Everytime I remove it thinking nobody is gonna use it, a player eventually comes back and asks me to put it back on.

@Nobody: I may have translated that wrong in my head. What I meant is that those who could not use the normal mindwipe, could after they had ascended. That solved the issue on our cluster.

@Scipizoa Ahh well, just keep using mine I guess! Mine should always work, as it doesn't do a check for whether you can use it or not, like WC's version does.

Arksanity - there's nothing in this mod that would have made players unable to use it after they ascend. The graphing for the mod is incredibly simplistic, as the respec potion was super simple until they added in the respec once stuff. Now with the recent modification, it should even handle the respec once bit, since it is set to add that information to the player character as the 'new' respec potion does, but not validate that you meet the criteria when you try to use it again.

We have bAllowUnlimitedRespecs=True in Game.ini. Been working for us since they implemented the config. The only players unable to mindwipe, were those who had used the mindwipe from this mod. They could only use the mindwipe from this mod until they ascended... I guess each server has their own bugs...

and the respec command is in game.ini

did all that, updated to latest, used yours, saveworld, removed mod, and still a no go :p

Scipizoa - you have to use mine, which will 'fix' your character, and then you should be able to use theirs if you have the INI setting correct.

I can't really do anything with your character file, but I am pretty sure what I did will fix the issue if you use my Mindwipe, to 'set' the character attributes they are expecting, and then with the mod removed, and the INI setting in place, you should be able to use theirs.

hmm,, well still doesn't work after update ;( I might just have to create a new character, from what i read it doesn't affect characters created before the 259 and 260 updates, which is lame because i'ver already ascended, thanks for trying though

@Scipizoa I'm releasing an update shortly that I hope resolves this issue for you. I haven't reproduced the issue, but looking at the graphing that WC did on the 'new' respec, I can see why it might be failing, and that's the fix that's in this coming update :) They can't be expected to gear their updates around mods, so this is just one of those things about modding an early access(when this change was done) game.

For thhoughs asking, the normal mindwipe, or rather the unlimited respec option is still bugged,

you see the unlim respec command is not retroactive, so if you already reached lvl 115 and use a mindwipe, your pretty much screwed, the game won't let you drink another mindwipe, which is sad, its as if theres a flag on my char file thats saying"she still cannot respect" and it ignores the command "unlim respect" as of now i see no way of fixing this other then making a new toon.and i've already asciended with mine,, i don't want to lose that.

@Arksanity.com : The mod is not that obsolete at the moment as the ini setting does not allways work. (it refuses to work on my server for instance) I have seen many complaints about it not working, and this mod makes it work until the setting does.

I haven't tested to see why people are still using it, but clearly people still find a use for it, possibly just lack of familiarity with the ini entry that WC added. I had fully intended on removing this mod on official release of Ark, however, it's continued to grow in usage, and I don't want to break that many people.

@Survivor: This mod was only necessary during the limited time where you could only mindwipe once, even on private servers. This change has since been put into an INI-config. So technically this mod is obsolete.

So how is this different from the normal new mindwipe tonic, I don't remember

Thank you very much, you saved me ;) I was at max level and i need to reset my engrams. I've already set up the option: Allow Unlimited Respecs but it requires you level up more one level to work. I could not level up, so this mods works like a charm. Its very usefull on situations like mine ^^

Haven't heard anything about devkit getting any love yet. However, we managed to solve the problem kinda, by ascending. After ascension players were able to use vanilla mindwipes, so we might be able to wean off this mod by forcing players to ascend...

I fear with the rush they are doing, they won't bother with devkit until after release... :|

When they release the new dev kit, I'll take a look at what they did, and see if there is anything I can do, but until they release the dev kit, there isn't much I can do for it. With the rush for release/optimization, they are running a bit slow on releasing the dev kit, we're 2 major versions out of date at this point.

Dying changes nothing. Transferring to another server has no affect. Works on new chars... Just assumed this mod was the culprit since the only affected players had used the mindwipe from this mod. Though using this on new chars, now that the new config is added, doesn't prevent players from using vanilla mindwipe...

Highly addictive... guess we'll have to run this mod until Wildcard fixes the bug... :|

@ArkSanity that's not a bug with this mod, that's a bug with what WC did. This is literally just giving you the original mindwipe before WC changed the graphing on it. For quirky bugs like that, death is frequently the answer.

First of all, great mod. Highly appreciated in a time of need. Mindwipe is extremely addictive. Your mindwipe is so addictive, can't live without it, however...

BUG ALERT: We had problems using regular mindwipes after Wildcard added 'bAllowUnlimitedRespecs=true'. After some testing, I found out that any new player was able to use the regular mindwipe, which seemed odd. Why couldn't old existing players use it? Dug a bit deeper and started testing with players who had not used the mindwipe from your mod. They could all eat as many regular mindwipes they wanted.

Hoping you can find a solution and an exit strategy here. Getting players addicted to a now somewhat redundant mod is like getting people addicted to heroine... or ARK... :P

@Nobody I wanted to thank you a ton for that mod. We won't need it anymore on our server thanks to the last patch but you have our collective gratitude for being so quick about it and because it probably helped show WC how dumb they were not to have put a server command for it. Cheers mate !

hey anyway, you can make a 2 in one mod with this and your dino mindwipe. it would be easier to load into a server with 1 mod than 2. @Nobody
