38.21 fixes all the spawn locations now. So you should be able to spawn at ALL MAPS ACTIVATED locations and otherwise and have all the custom maps loaded.

@PPanda421, thanks for that information, we posted at the same time, with the same conclusion. Also, I see that 38.21 just got pushed out, which might explain why I am not seeing custom maps today.

@Ddraig Did some more testing. First time I spawned in Kentucky but the game crashed. Second time I spawned again in Kentucky and this time I spawned in some map (probably New Denver like you suggested). But then I quit the game reentered the game and the screen was all black and I could not see my character. I was having the same issue in the IWBUMS branch with Bedford Falls. I looked at the Bedford Falls standalone mod comments and the same issue is also appearing there. So I think 38.20 has an issue with modded maps. PZ worked fine with the same modded maps until they made these map changes in 38.x...sigh.

Ok, I could of sworn that starting in Muldraugh, KY etc... loaded custom maps, but I am not seeing that now. Also, Starting in 'Kentucky' (new denver spawn points), seemed to load custom areas fine. But after loading from a save, new custom areas are not loading.
This looks partly like a bug in 38.20, beyond this mod. So, anyone that wants to play with this mod, use PZ 37.x, in steam, go to properties ->beta and select legacy 37.x

yeah, in 38.20 I spawned in regular west point, and saw the west point strip center custom map, so assumed all maps loaded.
Spawning in 'Kentucky' (which will spawn you in New Denver), should load all maps.
Yeah, there are problems with this and 38.20, but wanted to provide workarounds that I am aware of.

This map pack is broken to all hell. Avoid until it's had some work done to it. Half the time the maps do not load, and you end up spawning in th emiddle of an ocean, or in th emiddle of forest, because the maps don't load.

@ddraig Did you actually test what the developer told you? Ok the new world that I just created (spawn in Muldraugh, KY option) where I copied all those files over, did not have Phoenix nor Bedfall falls maps at all - all woods. Then I created a brand new new world again spawning in Muldraugh, KY option and saw the same issue. Phoenix and Bedford Falls maps are not there. I think more work needs to be done with maps.

@ddraig Np. Like I said I already created a new release branch game after that. But now that you're saying we need to spawn in vanilla areas without the ALL MAPS ACTIVATED flag. Earlier today after your post, I created a new world with your (spawn) suggestion and copied over my character file and map_xxxx_xxxx.bin files to that new world. Haven't been to modded maps yet but so far my base and world are in tact.

sorry to hear about that. If you are on steam, you can go to Project Zomboid game properties -> betas, and revert back to legacy 37.x version. That should hopefully fix it for you. I have the GOG version, so I can stay locked into a version until I am ready to upgrade.

@ddraig Actually you were right. My previous saved game no longer worked on IWBUMS so I created a new game in the release version. In a previous game, I spawned in Bedford Falls ALL MAPS ACTIVATED. Everytime I exit/restart the game, map_ver.bin changed and I no longer could see my character/world.

@ddraig No I'm worried that if I try to visit the non-vanilla places the maps won't show up in my existing game. I created a game about a week ago with spawn in Muldraugh with ALL MAPS ACTIVATED. I have a huge base with lots of things collected including 7 car batteries lol.

@ddraig For some of who who recently created a new game with ALL MAPS ACTIVATED option how do we fix our maps without having to start over? Or are we SOL?

Dev talked to me. It looks like in 38.20, you need to spawn either in "Kentucky", or in regular Muldraugh, West Point, Riverside or Rosewood (WITHOUT the ALL MAPS ACTIVATED tag), and all the maps will be activated. Custom spawn locations (WITh the ALL MAPS ACTIVATED tag) will NOT work. See below for changing the "Kentucky" spawn location

OK, map pack will load in 38.19, but need to select 'Kentucky' map. This will place you in New Denver, due to some legacy code from AIZ. But other maps will load.
Looking around, Man In The Purple Hat is correct. if/when I get time, St Lamb and Drayton can be moved west. Some connecting roads around California can be added too, to reconnect Riverside.

Will wait to hear back from dev about spawns in other maps within the pack. Quick fix would be to replace the spawnpoints.lua in Kentucky folder with the one from the map folder of the map you want to spawn in.

Ok, I just tried 38.19, and tried to spawn at St Lamb to look around, but it still just loads vanilla.

Hi,
Here is a non-steam version: http://www.filedropper.com/aizenhancedsp_1

Foraging is supported for vanilla maps as well as all custom maps added that support foraging. I made sure that when maps are moved from original position to fit into the map pack, that their objects.lua data is also shifted.

I dont have the time to work on this mod like before, so when 38.15 comes out, not sure if I will be supporting that.Someone else is welcome to pick up the mantle, like I did with the original AIZ.

Not sure about the 13500 problem. I do know that new 38.15 areas will overlap.

Annotated maps work for me. What computer are you on?

Is it possible to get a non-steam file save?

New Denver, has a non-steam file save... and is litterly the only one i can play.

Some odd reason, My steam doesn't register my games on this computer. so it never download mods/maps.

yup it loads great in the regular IWBUMS, now in the Vehicle test branch the mod makes the game crash but i think thats on there end not the mods. but no problem, drayton only covers up a small section of the new farming area added into the game, but it still covers some fields and house. but Saint Lamb is also covering feilds and houses. but whats cool is now you have a ton of more room to spread out some of the other maps out around the west riverside and south west since theres a ton of empty space out there now.

im sorry for all the posts man, heres a link to the image of the map, i did an overlay of the two in photoshop and it looks like california is safe, it will overlap the new curves in the river but its not covering anything important. now drayton and Saint Lamb will need to be moved, i think challenge map 1 and Knox county maps are ok where theyre at though. again sorry for all of the comments, i just wanted to give you accurate info.

wellp it turns out its not overlapping, i friend sent me an image of the new maps location, i can send you a copy of it if you want it so you too can see how to new area maps out, its quite large actually and will add more room for more user created maps!

So far i beleive the california map is overlapping the new area of riverside unfortunatly :\ You may have to move its cell positions further west to make sure they dont overlap. this is just a guess however, i asked on the forums for the specifics on its locations, ve heard it is west down the river of westpoint so that would place its location pretty much where cali is :\

A new section of the map was released into IWBUMS west of westpoint called RiverSide. im gonna do a little testing to see if California overlaps some of it or not so ill let ya know how it looks. i dont think it will overlap but im not 100% since im not sure how big the new section is exactly

My fps gets very very choppy in splitscreen with this mod activated. My computer is well beyond strong enough to run this. any ideas?

i just tested it out, made a new game in iwbums, set to spawn in louisiana and nope, spawned in a field, i used a mod to teleport to other map locations and non of them were there, just forests. not sure why its not working still. maybe wee'll have to wait till the next iwbums update 38.6

Yeah, there is no reason I could see why this should not work in IWBUMS, but they did change the way they load custom maps, that should not affect this mod, but it does. So I let the devs know that something changed in that build that affects this mod for some reason.

@Man In The Purple Hat: This mod should work with IWBUMS version. I posted to the devs the current problem, in their upgrade thread on indie stone forums. So hopefully this will get fixed.
