Hi, I know that you no longer work on your water block mod, but I was wondering if I could possibly hire you to do a version that would work on a dedicated server. Please let me know if you're interested in the commission. Thank you!

Autoturrets with batteries disable PP as if the owner himself would do. I suppose PP would lead to creative Extinction Drop farming. I haven't tested it yet as i left the server with this mod, but someone could perhaps try and use PP Kentros and use them as indistructable damage reflectors(besides perhaps the corrupted wyvern breath i suppose)

If you are going to put dinos on wandering build pens or walls to protect them. If putting dinos on ghost mode kiss them good bye.

Why are you putting them in ghost mode?
Ghost mode isn't the best idea to have them wandering, ghost allows them to go through things, walls, pens, other dinos, and allows you to go through them. They wander because the game can't see them either.

go to the servers mod directory in the game content. delete the mod data folder and .mod file. Both are named after the mods ID.

Added to server... it messed with too many things so removed it and it's still showing in radical menu! How do we remove it completely?

@MrBazibaz, unless something has changed since I used it last, "wandering" dinos lose their protection unless you add the below to the server gameusersettings.ini file

[PassiveProtection]
EnableProtectedWandering=true

I have an issue on my server where our dinos put to wander while ghost mode will dissapear,
i know the mod is discontinued, but does anyone know how to fix it?

I understand your reasons though I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sorry to see this get abandoned, its an absolute necessity! ;) I hope someone picks it up... I'm completely lost in the dev kit or I'd love to do it myself.

Sorry guys, I can't keep lieing to myself and to you all. I don't have the time or the drive to keep working on this mod. I kept telling myself that I would update it, but I just never get around to it. I no longer play ark so I don't really have the motivation to keep this mod updated. With the current state of the mod, results may vary. I've heard that it works for some people and that it doesn't for others. The source code for the mod is available at the bottom of this page for anyone that wants to continue this project or for anyone that wants to check it out. Feel free to use it and post it as your own mod, just give me a credit spot on the page somewhere. Sorry that I've abandonded this project and have let some people down. @Torbold Hi, thanks for the work. I have a simple question: if OnlyProtectEmptyInventory is set to True, will the food count as inventory item? I mean, a dino with food can be protected if I have:

@Ralph Yes and no, it works if the baby is at full health. Or if you have IgnoreHealth=true in your ini settings.

i have not yet added this but have come back to peek at it several times. Its just such a good idea, well done sir. Redoing some of our severs completly ,mod wise so have to always relook at some the best mod (like yours) and at all the new ones since we did this last. Alot our players are Eu and have issues with load times so we have to be picky as hell more often than we like and really enjoy voting on stuff:)
But this boils down to i may have lost the vote to add this but still think its an amazing idea for a mod and wanted to show you the respect of coming back to add it to favorates and give it a thumbs up.
Ours severs are amazing! i would totally tell you about each, but i trully think its rude to do so in a modders comment space (you know who you are), Many players i know are judging both modders and players (invites/whitelist/friends) are taking such matters more seriously and there is a real chance of losing some great player/groups you would have otherwide kept.

@ibigfire if you set it to not drop any inventory, it should not drop any inventory. It doesnt matter if it is from a mod or the vanilla game.

Hi Thank you for this mod.

I would like to use only the dropbag feature after a certain amount of time when Dinos are passive and totally remove any protection. (just to avoid people hiding stuff inside Dinos)

What value should I put or how should I do ?

should try to add a no colision to this mod for the dinos so you can build a wall of dinos to block doors with non killable dinos

WOW This mod is perfect. I so gonna use this when I start a server. OMG amazing. This makes it so you don't need to have rules that people will break. I love that a dino that has been used is not protected before a sertain time. I feel like if you attack with a bird you can't just park it inn a passive pen and say haha you can't kill my bird. This mod will fix all the problems with having a passive protection.

Your ini explanation for AllowInBosses is wrong.
"If this is set to true, dinos will lose protection if they are near a boss dino"
It is the other way, true to be protected near a boss.

Can you change it so it saves it former state? (instead of reloading on server restart)
Or is possible to fix so it dosen't lag in that area when it is charging all the dinos?

I think a .ini setting so when a player gets on a protected passive dino, theres a time limit before that dino can move or attack. Otherwise, players will line up gigas for example, set them to passive, and when a tribe is near base and close, quickly hop on them and then go to town.

Can you please add in so it doesnt drop notes on the dinos , Me and my tribe mate have a system for our breeders where we make a folder int eh inventory of the dino and add a note with the original stats before lvling on breeders and it would be kool if u can add the note to be included into the mod so it wounld drop the notes

Could be from my mod. After each server restart the mod has to give the buff to every tamed dino. So if there are a lot of tamed dinos in a small area then it can cause lag. I'm currently re-doing how a large portion of the mod works. And one of the things I'm working on is a different way to give the protection buff. So hopefully that will help with this issue.

The tribe that reported this have around 250 dinos don't know how many are passive protected. But I am assuming the most of the dinos are. I got some other feedback after they have finished cooldown and are protected again the lag disappears.

Is there anything i can provide so we can take a look at this or are you able to recreate the issue?

I have notice on every restart when the PP is loading the whole area is laggin and it is noticed by when you are trying to mount/ride a dino (i takes like 4-6 seconds before you actully are sitting on the dino after pushed E). Is this something that has been reported before?

Is it possible to select what dinos want to have protection? Or create some kind of blacklist for the dinos that can not be protected? I would like to incorporate this mod to my server but I do not want it to affect the dinos that are used for raids. Golems, turtles, Stegos ...

This mod doesnt effect structures at all. Depending on your ini settings turrets will continue to damage protected dinos. Wild dinos do not target protected dinos. Depending on your ini settings damage will stop the protection timer. Depending on settings the mod will work in the boss arenas. Check out the ini discussion page to see what all the settings do
