yo, you cant supergrid EVERYTHING - only certain blocks obv.
They wouldnt purposely try to super grid large armor blocks on small ships
so those with invinsible ships might just be normal hacking
Pandemic 28 Aug, 2017 @ 12:38pm
@Sir Andrew III, well I see people using these ships in both types of gamemodes and i cant ever take them down so i have to send out grinding drones which are SUPER HARD to program correctly, I also have news about Incanatus. He's not gonna die. why? cuz i said so.
SirAndrewTheThird 27 Aug, 2017 @ 6:37pm
@Pandemic, and my condolences to Incanatus.
SirAndrewTheThird 27 Aug, 2017 @ 6:34pm
@Pandemic, Just one thing. The invincibility we use is not possible within survival. If someone is using our type of invincibility on a survival server, they are either a hacker or an admin.
Pandemic 27 Aug, 2017 @ 5:11pm
@Sir Andrew III, you do gotta point and all but ima say this for incanatus cuz he got extremely sick and went to the hospital, but he never liked them for the main reason of them being indestructible. its not fair to those who are trying to build something for the first time and they cant finish it because their defences cant take your ships down. I mean like he wouldnt have any other problems if they could be destroyed. I got this proof from public servers/worlds and incanatus did the same.
SirAndrewTheThird 27 Aug, 2017 @ 1:51pm
And how do we even take credit for things that are not ours? How did we not make our own ships and tech?
SirAndrewTheThird 27 Aug, 2017 @ 1:49pm
@Incanatus, oh, and one last thing. you say Supergrids are for those who do not take the time to make good builds that obey the game laws. These things do not change how the game itself works, and i know from experience that it takes a LOT of time to use these things in a build. It is very hard to get them right so they even function, and more importantly look good. So dont dis us saying that we are lazy for building with these whenever you havent even tried to work with these for yourself.
SirAndrewTheThird 27 Aug, 2017 @ 1:19pm
@Incanatus, So all in all, "Im just making you think before you do again. We engineers gotta look out for each other right?" This is what we are doing; helping out the community, trying to help it grow, getting Keen to both fix and improve their game by letting them see for themselves what is possible. And we look out for the community by guarding the things which are too game breaking, and could harm the community instead of helping it. ART develops because we can, but we are careful to make sure we dont destroy the game we know and love. If we did before we thought, then... well lets just say the game would be quite broken, and Space Engineers does not need any more of brokeness.
SirAndrewTheThird 27 Aug, 2017 @ 1:06pm
@Incanatus, If we just dumped everything we have made onto the workshop, then the community would take advantage, and things would get out of hand with Keen unable to get things under control fast enough. They would either have to make a quick patch to stop all our tech (which would severely damage the game itself, and even then many powerful things would remain) or watch as the community would be quickly be destroyed as unbalanced and overpowered items and weapons reign on the servers removing all fun from the game. The SE community is already in a delicate place. You say to think before we do. I say we already know what we are doing. Asking Keen for some of these features has not really worked. We are letting them see what it could look like if they did add it, without having the hassle of mods.
SirAndrewTheThird 27 Aug, 2017 @ 1:06pm
@Incanatus, If something game breaking or too screwy is released, it changes the dynamic of the game (most likely not in a good way). If ART is well known, Keen is more likely to see what is happening, and if it gets too bad they will patch it. This has already happened with several of our Technologies. Also, by letting other people develop things on their own, using ART as a way for them to get together and share ideas (of which this is the purpose of ART) allows new items, game breaking or not to be slowly released into the community. This gives Keen the time to improve and patch these things while still making sure they can focus on new features and whatnot.
SirAndrewTheThird 27 Aug, 2017 @ 1:05pm
@Incanatus, As ART becomes more known, and our tech is used more often (credit given or not), people wanting to make these things themselves come and join us. As time goes on, those people develop new things and release them to the community. In the case of our supergrids, Keen might see how popular they are and decide to add some of these items to the game, and the community benefits (As already stated, the community has been asking for these things for years now).
SirAndrewTheThird 27 Aug, 2017 @ 12:46pm
@Incanatus, As for credit, we put these special blocks out there for the community. People outside ART have already started using them in their builds, such as PerfectBlinky. (This goes for everyone) While you are free to use it however you like, we do appreciate credit for these things, as it becomes quite discourageing whenever someone takes credit for the things we make. And no, its not like we are claiming ownership to a ship that has out tech in it, but a simple mention would go a long way for motivation and getting our name out there. And We want our name out there for a good reason.
SirAndrewTheThird 27 Aug, 2017 @ 12:39pm
@Incanatus Take for example the High Impulse Thrusters (HIT) of RoboDooms F-1 Hunter. Those are thrusters that give incredible thrust, but at the cost of extreme hydrogen use. Same goes for the HITs on Vincent The Rabbit's builds, which require an incredible amount of power to use.The super gyro on the M4Hawse's Tempest also has high energy use. (The main problem is power. Thats why we havnt posted anything with incredible power production yet) even super grids have their disadvantages, as they work in a very odd way, requireing special workarounds when using them in a build. And if we develop something that is too overpowered, we dont release it. Simple.
SirAndrewTheThird 27 Aug, 2017 @ 12:39pm
@Incanatus. Do note that most of these build we put out for the community are for the betterment of it, or for a proof of concept. Supergrids bring a whole new dimention of astetics to a build. They can fill in what the community has wanted for years, and without the use of mods. Small ship windows, doors, medbays, flight seats, jump drives, and much more can and are out there for the community to use. And we do try and make it to some degree fair when posting other advanced technologies.
freak of empires  [author] 27 Aug, 2017 @ 10:42am
We put a large grid block on a small grid. So what? New players can find PLENTY of Supergrid blocks out on the workshop. It's not our fault they don't do their research.
Incanatus 27 Aug, 2017 @ 8:59am
@Sir Andrew III, I may sound like im calling you a hacker or cheater but im not. In this world now most people do then think. Im just making you think before you do again. We engineers gotta look out for each other right?
Incanatus 27 Aug, 2017 @ 8:56am
@Sir Andrew III Two is that it is unfair to some because they are just starting out and then they see the ART Faction with all these game breaking physics and there own want was to do the EXACT same thing but as seen above, its already been done so we could possibly have MANY more engineers without this but thats just what i think. you dont have to listen to me but you can if you want. do what ever you want. you just gotta know what your doing to the workshop, your REP, and to those who see this.
Incanatus 27 Aug, 2017 @ 8:55am
@Sir Andrew III Ok first off i FOUND these, i didnt take apart one of your vessels hoping to get game physic breaking blocks just so i can call it my own. And even if i was i would not give ART any credit AT ALL becuase of only a couple of reasons. One is i think these are blocks for cheaters that dont take there time building good vessels that obey the game laws. In my own opinion the Faction of ART, is to cheat on your builds and not take the time and take credit for what is not yours. but not all do that, not all in your faction do so.
SirAndrewTheThird 26 Aug, 2017 @ 6:31pm
@Incanatus, Anything we put out ont he workshop is avalible for people to use. If you want to tear it apart for your own use, go right ahead. If you want to use those parts in your own workshop item, go right ahead. (But be sure to give credit to ART for whatever advanced parts you take and use) If you wish to join ART, and learn how to do these things and much much more yourself, we would be more than happy to have another member in our ranks.
Incanatus 26 Aug, 2017 @ 6:01pm
@M➍ HΛWƧΣ So, i uhh. well you might not believe it or you will but, i was exploring out and about on a public server and i found the typhoon all cut up into bits and peices as if someone has been reverse engineering it for there own use and i grab the blueprints for them and they seem to work. Anything i put them on made it invincible and worked almost exactly like the typhoon & tempest.
So would that make me a possible threat or what?
Big Red  [author] 25 Aug, 2017 @ 2:32pm
Good Idea :O
Pandemic 25 Aug, 2017 @ 12:29pm
@M➍ HΛWƧΣ Well, I uhh. Havn't found em yet but they will be destroyed. (you should make one)

I always love it when people actually know how to use the coloring tool in SE... and you even thought of lighting! Hoverracers are one of my favorites too! Actually gameplay in SE if there ever was any :P

Great idea using the LCD's together with rotors for cockpit use :)
Big Red  [author] 11 Jul, 2017 @ 9:17pm
@Ghostofhell2 It is in fact a Mod Free Vehicle, i am a strong vanilla advocate. A video you say??? Interesting... ill get on that :D

Luckily there are two ports undeneath where the front sliders are located to deposit uranium, it does have a battery though in the back. You must remove the sliders to deposit the uranium.

It is a high maintainence vehicle, but gets much love from all who see it ;)
SirAndrewTheThird 11 Jul, 2017 @ 9:11pm
I always miss the acuall time of being posted
Ghostofhell2 11 Jul, 2017 @ 9:09pm
I can't tell if it is modded, but if it is not nice way of using the venella blocks to create such a cool looking car. however i think the picture does no justice to the vehical, so if there was a video for this i could see hear and understand how this badass looking vehical drives. I like the whole concept of this vehical. the only question is how would i charge it, if it is out of juce?
