@SoftwareSimian If you do manage to get this and other maps to work, I too would be eternally grateful, this was my fave TpF1 map.

You could of course play with the minimum value of range = {75, 1000} in map.lua at the risk of having too-high shorelines and trouble placing docks.
You can enable the industry button if it isn't already, either by editing the config file:
\Steam\steamapps\common\Transport Fever\res\config\base_config.lua
game.config.industryButton = true
Or you can use a mod to do it, like Industry Tycoon . Most industry mods, like my Flexible Industries also enable it automatically.
As an aside, on my own playthrough of this map I've concentrated on population transport only and ignored cargo. I'm at about 110k population in 2010, and be forewarned: populations that high will crush your system.
Just to be clear you're editing the right file, it should be
\Steam\userdata\<steamid>\446800\local\settings.lua
and you should be certain to edit it while Transport Fever is not running (otherwise it will certainly be clobbered when you exit the game).
You really should post this as a question in the general (or support) Discussions section, since it's nothing to do with the map you're using.
(located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<user ID>\446800\local\settings.lua or equivalent)
Any plans for more maps? I wish I had the time... but I'd like to do the Prairies next.
now we need some canadian grain goverment hopper cars (canada red an alberta blue) maybe some car double stocks and some center beam cars :-)
