update more or make more games!
Kari 22 Feb, 2016 @ 9:08pm
only issue I have with this is not being able to see my cursor on the menu screen. Otherwise a great little time waster.
Ethan 13 Nov, 2015 @ 8:35pm
It looks like... fl0w. Like, exactly like fl0w. You sure you didn't just try to recreate it?
Den_drummer 22 May, 2015 @ 4:03am
Oh and towards everyone: a neat trick is holding your left mouse button. It makes bubbles emit from where your cursor is.
Den_drummer 22 May, 2015 @ 4:02am
As someone stated before, the game doesn't seem to work if you don't own a gamepad. In your update post it states that it is now gamepad compatible, not that it's required. Would you please fix either the game or state that a gamepad is required? Thanks for your time.
SCP 049 26 Apr, 2015 @ 4:25pm
It says NO GAMEPAD DETECTED.
SCP 049 26 Apr, 2015 @ 4:24pm
it dosent work without gamepad.

@TheNocture
Thanks. No rush.
TheNocturne  [author] 7 Dec, 2014 @ 2:10pm
Erm.... Okay, that's weird. There should be amouse cursor! Just mouse around until the play button lights up and click... Sorry! But you can use the gamepad too. I'll update this tomorrow...
Greyrat 7 Dec, 2014 @ 2:06pm
@Nocturne
No problem!!!
Um... I have a question. I just tried to start it up... Uhh... What key is start menu?
TheNocturne  [author] 7 Dec, 2014 @ 2:02pm
Certainly is! All my stuff is fine to use on Youtube... Thanks!
Greyrat 7 Dec, 2014 @ 10:07am
Nice game, I'm going to record some for my youtube channel and post a link to it in my description, is that OK?
Lord Mark 19 Sep, 2014 @ 5:40pm
The game cannot be controlled with a mouse, I can't see any cursor and when I managed to get the game started it just says "No gamepad detected"
Arcturus Asriv 4 Feb, 2014 @ 4:51am
Ah. Thanks for the info.
Cheers!
TheNocturne  [author] 4 Feb, 2014 @ 1:07am
Oh, right! That's because you are using the current STABLE version of GMS and this was made with the newer Early Access version... I'll add a note to the description explaining this. Sorry about that!
Arcturus Asriv 3 Feb, 2014 @ 9:26pm
Downloaded but when I ran it, I got:

Nice game, feels like it would be relaxing to play on a phoe or tablet.
Pingvin 9 Feb, 2013 @ 4:33am

Napalm 26 Jan, 2013 @ 10:07pm
Very nice. It's always a pleasure to find a gem in a pile of dirt that we call the Game Maker: Studio Workshop. Great sound and music, consider this liked.
Joe Schmo 27 Dec, 2012 @ 2:39pm
That is absolutely amazing. Awesome job!

Astrotonic 28 Nov, 2012 @ 8:11pm
Why is this in the music catagory? =/
Darugio 8 Nov, 2012 @ 7:35am
Good work. This game reminds me other one: Flow. A relaxing game. Perfect for a rest after an intensive session of FPS and frenetic action games.
TheNocturne  [author] 31 Oct, 2012 @ 12:38am
Yes, but your worm is long enough to CRUSH them and make them smaller...
Sperk 30 Oct, 2012 @ 7:28pm
Very cool but if you don't frow fast enough you get stuck with green particles that are too big to eat and you can't grow anymore.
Gabriel 28 Oct, 2012 @ 10:31am
Nice! It reminds me of the water stage in spore.
King Of The Bitches 25 Oct, 2012 @ 12:16pm

Boysano 6 Oct, 2012 @ 3:57am
WOW! this blew my mind Mark! I think you should put all your effort into developing this one. Stunning graphics, and effects, particles are nice. Also amazing how intelligent your little creature in the microbial soup are... :) Played it for 20minutes, until it felt like nothing else will grow in the soup haha. Nice zoom effect with the spead of the worm.

I also 2nd a fullscreen plz.

Is the background yellow globs, just alpha transparent objects glinding over each other?
This will also make a nice space game effect.

Plays a lot like fl0w smashed together with snake. Really awesome, but the mouse kept getting out-of-bounds - I imagine that full-screening the game might fix this. I managed to play for quite a while. Thumbs up! :D
Loki 5 Oct, 2012 @ 9:38pm
How do I download this?
Stefan8000 5 Oct, 2012 @ 1:06pm
This is great, thumbs up. I like the style very much. Please make a bigger gamescreen.

Fascinating I could be playing for a long time
Jee 3 Oct, 2012 @ 6:04pm
The game is gorgeous. I loved the ambient sounds, but the collection sounds need to be softer or something...way too over bearing. Also, had issues with the controls - unless the target platform is mobile touch screens, I did not like the controls for the PC and kept mouse-skipping the screen. Overall, a nice game and oddly....relaxing. :)
Lil Cheetus 3 Oct, 2012 @ 11:02am
I like it a lot, but needs some improvement in the sound quality. Other than that, this is a pretty cool game
SirBaron 3 Oct, 2012 @ 4:09am
I love flow and I my self were thinking of making a similar game, this is good progress. Besides adding more content. Try and give the user a visual representation of the creature gaining energy. In flow you could see the energy pulse down it's body until it got to the end and grew larger.
Spidertech 2 Oct, 2012 @ 3:17pm
looks and plays like fl0w. With the "alien nematode" looking almost exactly like what you play as in the beginning of fl0w, I would have expected some sort of evolution or a way to combat the "enemies", but all that happens is you get longer and lose sections just by touching the enemies. Unless this can offer something drastically different from fl0w I'll pass.

Part of a growing genre of visual and audio games that should be encouraged as they give something a bit more to gaming then their generic counterparts
