As in:
0. all videos are skipped
1. in main menu > new game, colours and positions of factions are definable.
2. dust stays at a customizable amount
3. Turns until being thrown out for not settling down is raised to 100
4. the map is revealed automatically
So that when making/testing mods, which requires constant restarts and making new worlds and
all that, it is not so annyoing to have to set it up every time anew.
* a mod that lets us insist that each region has 3 villages instead of usually just 1 or 2.
* Customize-able map markers, to help us keep easy visual track of areas we make various decisions about, like "don't bother building here", "or: pick this exact hex to eventually build on". Maybe let us grey-out one region at a time, while we rule out certain areas for future placement.
*a count down (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) that remains visible on the active landscape for locations we have to arrive at (for some quest) before that timer runs out.
*similar visual map icons that visually indicate what needs to be given or done at each quest location, like the numeral 15 and an image of a specific resource.
*visually distinct village icons so that we can know at-a-glance which minor factions are at each location.
*give us the power to edit individual unit names and the names of gear. I should be allowed to have a Captain PiggiePants equipped with a Well Polished Horn of PentyMoreWhereThatCameFrom.
It would also be great if some enemies would squeal like a pig whenever I crit them.
*Make minor faction villages remind us what their assimilation perks are when we mouse-hover over them.
*change the colors of the landscape so that it's visually much easier to see where the best concentrations of the three production/research resources are.
*create special map locations that Heroes can find, explore, and utilize to alter and hone their abilities.
*add a research-able training facility that allows us to remove resident units from 'active service' and commit them to training for accelerated (or specialized) XP gains at the cost of being unavailable to defend or leave the city, with a 3-turn cool-down whenever the player decides to move them back to active duty.
*give some units non-combat abilities. like being able to leave them on a lakeside tile to level up their fishing skills, to help raise food production (and similar skills), at the risk of being attacked, and at the expense of not being able to help out with battles nor gain combat levels during the time they are doing non-combat things.
*limited late-game terraforming powers
*GUI, external to the program, that lets us easily replace existing character portraits with properly formatted player's-choice alternatives.
The UI is so small in 4k it strains my eyes big time even with the increased size on the in-game button!!
Is there a mod that exists that will upscale it? If not, please make one!
