Reassembling Reassembly

Mod Request: Diplomacy

There are factions in this game that are thematically peaceful and I'd rather have some kind of peace status with them. Currently, fleet AI and my flak guns automatically attack factions indiscriminately.

I'd love to see this too, but I don't think it'll happen for 2 reasons;
1. Arthur didn't provide much to support this
2. Modders won't do it

I'd do if it were actually possible within the way the game is programmed currently :/

I tried doing this a while ago with a mod that flopped and that I stopped working on, basically you can ignore setting colors to your faction while developing a mod and then giving that faction many different blocks inspired or exactly the same as the default faction's blocks, thus leading to one central faction that is seemingly 'united' with many different types of ships from other factions on the same side.
This is the only feasible way to do Diplomacy without breaking the game or turning reassembly into another game as a whole.
If you're looking for a ship building game with ship construction elements I would reccomend something like Space Pirates and Zombies 2 or Nimbatus[www.nimbatus.ch].

Both of the reccomended games are amazing.
But Reassembly just got the AI Update, which might lead to things like diplomancy being able to happen. Can't wait for the good modders to figure out all that we can do : )
