Your description is a bit confusing but if I understand it right you copied or moved a mod file from the workshop folder to the Surviving Mars\Mods folder. Do I have that right?

Silva's mods are back up on paradox, but honestly if you have the choice between paradox/steam always go steam (since the mods don't randomly disappear from there).

its in "C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\Mods" does it had to be in "\PopsMods" instead ? (seeing as stuff paradox mod manager gets are stored there)

Silva Essential files now appeared when searched for, dled it and throw out the one from workshop, enabled all silva mods game exits to desktop. Disabled panoramic restaurant and pumpkin nightclub that listed language packs as missing dependency, still exits to desktop.

download the mods from https://mods.paradoxplaza.com/games/surviving_mars (click manual download) and install them to
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\mods

the built in paradox mod server in the game is bad to use.

Steam's mod platform has had a few years to get the kinks out, Paradox's platform not so much...

he has gog version though so that's the only way he can use mods.

ah you not have to worry about that for one can get steam workshop mods through 'auxiliary methods' if desired, actually.

Perhaps a one time private exchange would be of no consequence but publishing them for mass consumption would likely violate all sorts of agreements.
