Mod Request: Give factories a center snap point

I don't run factory on my ships because they don't snap to a center axis. In other words, each side has two snap points, so there's no middle one. Anybody know how to change this?

use an adapter block? or a different faction with different factory blocks. or mod your faction with the web reassembly dev kit and add a factory with the shape you want, it's easy

Making an adapted terran mod and adding a 3x3 square factory block would be pretty easy to do, also there are guides on how to make adaptable squares from the octagon blocks, this for example.
