So, i will be speaking with OVK to confirm the future of the workshop, the community skins, everything. Sorry for the radio silence up until now. But rest assured, your questions will be answered
Absolutely, there's no point putting work into it while there's no official word about its future. I don't blame you.
If i am unable to share any new information, i shall also let you guys know!
Massive apologies for the delays in getting back to yourselves, i know it's frustrating. I won't keep you in suspense much longer.
@AJ: No need to apologize yourself since it’s not your fault and you are NOT the one to blame! I mean the only ones who left everyone in the dark is OVK (and especially the ones who are in charge and not the ones who are preparing the skins etc. for the game). I mean it´s a simple thing: OVK should´ve said “yes” or “no”. If they didn’t make any money from safes in the past then it would have been a “no” and the workshop should´ve been closed since the end of this year`s Crimefest, like Red mentioned. But to be honest: In terms of the needs and possible improvements regarding the workshop this “behavior” by OVK is quite the standard. Last time a staff member was interested in the workshop was Joakim in his last AMA (2017?) if I remember correctly.
Side note, are there any Modders working toward a stable usable workshop skin mod ? It would be interesting to have something streamlined and stable to use. So skins author who are willing to share could do so easily.
Community safes don't take much work. One person picks the skins and make sure they work. Then a programmer adds them in and sets up the market items.
