Difficulty I generally don't define as "spending two hours save scumming to get a replacement tier 5 weapon".
Also allows you to merge lower tier ones into higher(if I don't remember wrong)
But yeah I'd very much like a mod that just lets you repair them as well.
As is it prevents me from giving the AI any interesting builds since they usually lose arms from being plain dumb.
It also means a painful amount of resets upon losing components instead of a cool wounded fight.
Yup, that's where I am. Don't see the point in giving the AI rare good weapons when I know they'll lose them. Sadly, doesn't seem to be a standalone mod like this. I've heard of MechTech and it seems a bit too heavy-duty for what I'm after, but thank you for the recommendation regardless :)
I hate the destroyed component and weapon tier circus of the current game.
I.E.
The clans supernova was a design out of need when ammo and parts ran short for the massive class 20 AC's the King Crab used during the early days and fighting against the Pentagon Worlds.
SO they swapped the AC/20s and other weapons for 6 ER large lasers. What they had on hand. Thus the Super Nova was born.
I'm sure it is. I just don't feel it makes for good gameplay - or at least gameplay that I enjoy. I'm generally a fan of tweaking my own games to preference, and I've been able to do that with several other aspects. Not this one, though, sadly.
No, but thanks for your input.
If the arm was shot off at the shoulder or even side torso, there is still a chance you could recover the weapon.
Maybe just a tweak to percentages is required?
