Fall of the Trident with expansion dataset
Does anyone know how to play the original campaigns i.e. 'Learn to Play', 'Fall of the Trident' and 'The Golden Gift' with the expansion i.e. The Titans and Tale of the Dragon dataset? All of them seem to default to the vanilla AoM dataset, probably because they were designed around it. I'd like to force them to use the updated data if possible.

The Titans campaign i.e. 'The New Atlantis' if played in the Extended Edition uses the latest dataset instead of defaulting to some legacy The Titans dataset. You can create Onagers as Atlanteans, Khopesh Swordsmen as Egyptians and Bogsveigirs as Norse. I used Bogsveigirs to take down the Norse Titan in my last playthrough, which was fun.

I managed to mess around with the files a bit to get this done partially. I replaced any Patch 1.0 data I could find with Patch 2.8. I managed to import the current balance for the original campaigns. I could even unleash Titans in these campaigns without a hitch. The only problem occurs with the new additions, but only Bogsveigirs and Khopesh Swordsmen. I could get Hero Hippocrates as Greeks and he works perfectly. However these two Egyptian and Norse units are glitchy. They are invisible for me, cannot be selected or attack enemy units; but they exist in every other way. They deducted resources from my stockpile when ordered to train, they took population space, they could be selected using the idle military key and then ordered to move, when selected I could see their icon and stats. They even were attacked and killed by enemy units. I could even see them in the tech tree. I'd appreciate it if anyone knows how to solve this problem.

Also looking for this.
AOM campaigns are a lot of fresh fun when used with the latest patch changes.

I thought perhaps it would be easier to extract AOM campaigns as separate scenarios/maps and then individually change them to use the latest 2.8 patch data?

I've found that by deleting your techtree1.0 / proto1.0 the copy+past+rename your techtree2.8 / proto2.8 files all the data transfers perfectly, you seem to be saying that too.

For invisible units, (ie Bogsviger) you'll need to copy their anim file from the highest-numbered sub-folder in the "anim" folder in which the unit can found (Example: Copy "Tower_anim.txt" from anim/version2.8 NOT the one from anim/version2.0) and paste it into anim/version1.0.
