DEI Diplomacy
I just started a new game. Post Beta, and I find that deals with other nations to be much harder to get. ie; Chances that used to be moderate in Beta now low. Is this just a one off or has the diplomacy become harder post Beta?

Were you using the DEI Softcore Submod previously?

The reason I ask is because I was using the Steam-available Softcore Submod before the DEI Feb 24th Steam update. As it stands, the Softcore Mod hasn't been updated on Steam: only on TWC.

I've downloaded the Softcore Submod from TWC and found an instant improvement with my diplomacy (in addition to other things).

It seems to be just a slight random chance that it can fluctuate at the beginning of any campaign, as I restarted again and found it was much more along the lines of the Beta.

It also happens in vanilla, even during the same turn the odds of the AI accepting a deal might differ if you try it several times.
