The 2 mods use vastly different classification systems for various items, that's why it's hard to figure out what should go where, and why your workers get confused and can't use some stuff.
There's a list of mods compatible with The North at BanishedVentures.com, so if you want to play The North, use that list.
CC on the other hand will be compatible with RK's editor's choice mod, and pretty much everything hosted at WorldOfBanished.com.
I am using this mod, which is specifically designed to run them together. They still show up as Conflicting Files (Red), but my game has not so much as crashed yet and have had no issues.

However, this isnt the main content of my question.
Is it The North 6 you're using or The North 7?
If it's The North7, you actually don't need the compatibility patch as it's built into the last version of The North. The patch might be introducing changes that the built-in tweaks in North7 don't know how to handle since they're looking for untouched DS files.
If it's The North 6 (I'd recommend getting 7), are you putting the mods in the same load order as recommended?
Workers failing to distribute goods to the right place is usually a sign that items don't have the correct flags, and that's caused by mod compatibility issues (which could be introduced by the patch if you use 7). It can also be caused by a pathing issue that makes the storage place inaccessible, but in that case your workers would usually find another storage.
North7 takes advantage of the larger amount of categories to file things under, so things like sand/clay get their own limit/category (and get stored on stockpiles). I think Tar gets its own category too, but I could be wrong about that.
There's a Wiki at BanishedVentures to help with what things get sorted as, but I think all the info there is for The North7, I'm not sure the info for The North6 was kept.
I was using both. The Bridge & Jetty, CC, Forge Awakens, & Journey, with N 7. I got it figured out tho. Thanks.
