Hello, I got the game after a long time and I wanted to get mods to play some countries I never played before, but they don't show up in the mods folder even though I followed the procedures (at least I think I do) indicated in this thread:

Upon trying to replace the files, the mods don't appear and clicking on "New game" results in the game crashing. I'm sure many other people posted about this before, it's just I don't know much about computers at all, in general, and I'm afraid I'll mess everything up even more if I don't know what I'm doing. The whole thing demoralised me and just made me feel like leaving the game aside. Any solutions?
